Hello john,
It might not be the answer you need or the easiest, but this is my trick :
Change your Rom to an asian rom
If you still want english menus, I think there is a soft that have been developped to then change in english (or other languages). search Asukal posts.
ok, not the easiest...
cheers
Hi dam,
i want to use an english Rom, so it's really not the easiest way
i have find out, that i need the unicode fonts. Google says that this font is 22MB big, so i need to put the font on my memory card. There is a program called "Font on Storage" but this program doesn't work with WM5 :-(
Is there some similar way or program?
thanx.
John

Hi Lads,
I’m looking for some way to edit all words available in T9 dictionary installed on my Smartphone (WM). I need to unpack all words and phrases and replace some national characters with some others.
Using UNICODES makes SMS shorter, using national characters without UNICODES shows “?” after delivery to recipients.
Editing only words what I have added using available editors is not the solution. I need to change all T9 contents to my own.
Any ideas ?

Hey all,
Ive been looking for a while now for a solution to this. A large portion of the words I use with transcriber (the write-on-screen text interpreter) are not known by whatever dictionary is in use. I see a section in transcriber options to ADD DICTIONARY. It looks for .dct file format, and all of the .dct files i have downloaded are not in the correct format, and cant be added to transcriber.
1) Where can i download custom word lists to add, and increase the vocabulary of WM6 transcriber? (a .dct/word list with computer terms for example) URLs would be helpful.
2) How can I edit/add custom words to my list? I was using dictmgr on windows mobile 5, but for 6 I cant find any programs to edit my dictionary, and 'autocomplete' words for the screen keyboard.
Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Hi all,
I made an application that I think you will find very useful.
User Dictionary Manager (UDM) allows you to edit/export/import/delete/clean the user dictionary words on your Android phone.
I think this will come in very handy for everybody who has to type alot of text in mails, SMSes, etc.
With the help of the User Dictionary Manager application you can export your defined words and import them on another phone - for example, sharing with friends and colleagues.
The homepage of the User Dictionary Manager (UDM) is http://udm.adrianvintu.com

For ROOTED phones: you need to make sure that you have the user_dictionary installed and available.

This is great, I've been looking a long time for something like this (Romanian Dic.). Too bad it doesn't work on HTC Sense phones. Maybe in the future. I will keep an eye on this one.
Thanks

Thanks Adrian. This app will be useful in maintaining my personal list of Gujarati words.
okay, the problem is that it's automatically saved into the "English" user dictionary.
but i want to import into the "German" user dict.
any ideas?

The app should import the words into the current regional setting. So if you change your phone settings to German language and then import, it should work. Please let me know if that fixes your problem.

i'm using liquidsmooth 1.35 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1555667), and the ROM doesn't provide other languages than english.
but i'm using german input language, and i can store words manually in there while typing in a textbox and add unknown word to the dictionary.
my idea was to use your app to import a german dictionary into my german user dictionary, since the german system dictionary seems to be empty on this ROM.
article
Hey buddy, I'm doing an article on your new UDM here. I emailed you, but never heard back. If you would like to answer a few questions, either pm me or email me at [email protected]. Thanks. Good work!
Swype compatibility?
Since Swype has its own user dictionary,i think it's not possible for now to import or export words from Swype dictionary, can you please make such thing possible in your next version, or some how contact Swype to make your app as an add on to their keyboard, thnx for the app
Swift keyboard
Does this work with swift keyboard? I don't know, pardon my ignorance, if it has it's own dictionary separate from the system keyboard.
Is this a dream? ThankS!
No updates since March 2010? Darn hope it doesn't get incompatibility errors in later android versions
Brilliant Idea!!!
thanks mate.
Will be back to report on how it works with stock JellyBean on my i9505
not working on samsung n7100 ... 4.3 ... if anyone have any idea on how to edit words in user dictionary n how to import text ... it will be great ... thanks
