User Dictionary Manager (UDM) - Android Apps and Games
Hi all,
I made an application that I think you will find very useful.
User Dictionary Manager (UDM) allows you to edit/export/import/delete/clean the user dictionary words on your Android phone.
I think this will come in very handy for everybody who has to type alot of text in mails, SMSes, etc.
With the help of the User Dictionary Manager application you can export your defined words and import them on another phone - for example, sharing with friends and colleagues.

For ROOTED phones: you need to make sure that you have the user_dictionary installed and available.

This is great, I've been looking a long time for something like this (Romanian Dic.). Too bad it doesn't work on HTC Sense phones. Maybe in the future. I will keep an eye on this one.

It is working for me on ICS ROM SHOstock2 on SGS-II (SGH-i777)

Thanks Adrian. This app will be useful in maintaining my personal list of Gujarati words.
okay, the problem is that it's automatically saved into the "English" user dictionary.
but i want to import into the "German" user dict.
any ideas?

The app should import the words into the current regional setting. So if you change your phone settings to German language and then import, it should work. Please let me know if that fixes your problem.

i'm using liquidsmooth 1.35 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1555667), and the ROM doesn't provide other languages than english.
but i'm using german input language, and i can store words manually in there while typing in a textbox and add unknown word to the dictionary.
my idea was to use your app to import a german dictionary into my german user dictionary, since the german system dictionary seems to be empty on this ROM.

Swype compatibility?
Since Swype has its own user dictionary,i think it's not possible for now to import or export words from Swype dictionary, can you please make such thing possible in your next version, or some how contact Swype to make your app as an add on to their keyboard, thnx for the app

Does this work with swift keyboard? I don't know, pardon my ignorance, if it has it's own dictionary separate from the system keyboard.

PhonePlus! 3: SMS
Hi All, We have released PhonePlus third edition. The new relase features (among other things) new easy-on-the-eye skin and SMS support. Thank you for the support, beta testing and feedback. We are now looking for contributers of language packs. PhonePlus! support easy extendability of lanuages. We currently have English and Hebrew, but if anyone is willing to translate to other langs he is very welcome to send us the translated lang file. We will post them in our site, as well as on the retailers (PocketGear and HandAndGo). Our site, www.mesoftware.biz, has the template for the empty lang file, feel free to experimante: Edit this file on your computer using "notepad". In the first line you have "name=" please add your language name in the blank area, for example: name=spanish. Now fill in every number line your own language letters. i.e. - "1.Text= abc" just like on your usual cell phone, and continue filling in all of those ".text=" places. If you have uppercase letters on your language, fill those blanks with your uppercase letters as well. After you have done all that, save the file as "your language.lng" for example "spanish.lng". This file should be placed under the /program files/phoneplus folder in your device. When opening your phoneplus software, you will notice that the right button has changed and now has your language name on it. You can choose your language as the default language by going to "options". Now you can write SMS or look for contacts in any language you want. We may release in the future some app to automaticly (or GUI-ly) edit the lang files, but for now we feel it is rather stright-forward. So, I would to hear more feedbacks and comments, if aynone can spare some... Regards, Micha

These of you with German ROMs: The porblem is fixed and a new version is avaiable for download, SMS problem fixed! 2003 SE: Also working with fixed icons problem. As Pocket PC Phone Edition users, we are facing some problems with the Built-in SMS Application, I hope you can solve it...: - Sending and Receiving EMS, or at least Receiving only... - Sending and Receiving vCard and vBusiness with normal mobiles like Nokia, SE, Moto...etc...
Nice application but.... (yes, there's always a 'but')... :lol: There seems to be a problem with the Green Button assignment on my MDA2. It worked for some brief time but eventually failed and launches the original dialer. It seems more like a problem with the OS, since I tried other dialers (MobiDial) and the same Green Button problem exsists there.... Any ideas? :?:
Edit the built in dictionary
How do I edit the built in dictionary in XDA? Can I add new words to the list? I remember a program called ABC Dictionary from Kai’s but that would not help much. Sometime it fails to remember my added words. Any suggestions?
How to edit T9 contents ?
Hi Lads, I’m looking for some way to edit all words available in T9 dictionary installed on my Smartphone (WM). I need to unpack all words and phrases and replace some national characters with some others. Using UNICODES makes SMS shorter, using national characters without UNICODES shows “?” after delivery to recipients. Editing only words what I have added using available editors is not the solution. I need to change all T9 contents to my own. Any ideas ?

[help] SlideIT dictionary
Hi, I have a little problem with SlideIT polish dictionary. It's very poor and I have to still add new words. can the autocorrection dictionary be turned off. i use text speak alot and there's no filipino language support so it's really annoying to have it correct everything i type

Dear, I can not use SpellCheck, is as if there had word none in dictionary Android, has as install a dictionary of words again? Happens in two roms that tests here, wanted to continue with this rom, so I would know how to fix it if it has. Thank you.
Add I saw that there is an option to "add-on dictionary", does that help you?
