updating bootloader or copying it

hi mates is it possible to update the bootloader on magician thats the only way to read high speed sd cards on magicion. bootloader v1.02 works fine with highspeed cards.

So is there a new bootloader v1.02 or not for the Magician.

if you really think that it is necessary to upgrade your bootloader .. then use itsme's pnewbootloader under Magician OS ROM 1.12 .. just be very careful .. it is not safe to change your bootloader.. it can brick your device .. JTAG or Motherboard replacement is only the solution

PNEWBOOTLOADER
Please can you tell me where to get the correct PNEWBOOTLOADER for the Magician to update to bootloader 1.02 as i can only find one for the Wallaby. This gives me an error to say DO i want to downgrade 5.17 to 5.15. I am just running command pnewbootloader BL1.02-1.38.nb0 then i get that error

i hav bootloader 1.02 i hav copied it from latest imate jam but dont know how to use it with pnewbootloader. cant find any help.

i just run pnewbootloader BL1.02-1.38.nb0 , but the only pnewbootloader.exe i can find is for the Wallaby, i need to get hold of the Magician version.

just been told by itsme's that he not sure yet, but his pnewbootloader does not work on the Magician

Please can anyone tell me if pnewbootloader has been updated yet and does infact work on the Magician, as the last report i got from itsme was he could not work out why it did not work on the Magician.

i-Mate JAMin arabic rom on M600

well i CID unlocked using aWizard, and i SIM unlocked using Lokiwiz (all this is on these forums) and then i decided to flash my spv m600 to the latest arabic i-mate jamin rom.
it all went well and works fine, only problem is the arabizer suite, it installs but doesnt run, error message displayed is: cannot run on this device.
its kinda strange coz iv always used imaginet arabizer suite on any device, and not one that was originally an i-mate.
any help on this is much appreciated.

i've installed a custom wm6.1 and hard spl, now i can't seem to install any OS on my palm treo 750 plz help

whats seems to be the issue. are you having problems flashing with sd card? did you format the card with fat 32? you positive your hard spl'd. your bootloader screen says spl 1.40.

Dead SPV ( alias HTC VOX )

Dear All,
After two years of loyal services my spv e 650 , alias HTC Vox quit working . It is not booting at all , although It is starting in boot loader mode. My problem is that it is a branded orange romania phone , and I'm not able to find an original Rom version, neither to burn an unbranded version , because of the 1.22 USPL , which I'm not able to downgrade because the phone doesn't start in normal mode , in order to have an active sync connection for the USPL up(down)grade. To resume : phone is branded , doesn' t start in normal mode , but does start in boot loader ( version of SPL 1.22.0000 ). Is there any way to burn an unofficial Rom version ? Thank you in advance for any advices ,

Look up the "Gold Card" method in the Wiki. You need a non-SDHC memory card of any size and the free programs mentioned. It will write a special key to the boot sector of the memory card that will allow to load any ROM to the device in bootloader mode.

After several tries ( I don't know what went wrong ) I've managed to do it. although it worked with only one version of ROM , HTC made, but I do have a fully functional phone . Many, many thanks for your hint,

Good to read that - I also have to revise my statement about which ROMs are loaded with the Gold Card method. Only valid signed ROMs (either HTC or other branded ones) will load - cooked ROMs are not loaded with the Gold Card method as they are not valid signed.

SPV E650 SDA Ap Unlock from SDCard possible ?

I need to change the carrier rom of my SPV E650 to a wm6.1 ...and first i need to make a app unlock.
My problem is, that his mini-USB port is broken...and my only solution is via sd-card.....So my question is...can be done an app unlock via sd card? Please i need some help...i cant run haret on this wm6.0 carrier rom...and i want to do some test with my new fresh compiled kernel...i'm trying to boot debian on it(old version)

A broken USB is no problem as you can connect via BT to the PC. This allows haret to start once you have it app-unlocked. A recent thread here has shown however that Orange E650 app-unlocking seems not possible. Please follow up all the recommendations given in that thread.
If USB is broken I doubt you will suceed after that however.
