how to stop the auto run for the ext-rom - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

I have upgraded my MDA to I-mate. But first time to re-start the MDA, it auto run the Ext-rom. But after I remove the battery for around 10mins, I restart the MDA, it auto run the Ext-rom again. How can I stop it? I cannot delete the Ext-rom? Can I stop the Auto run?

I *think* what you do is tap the screen to setup the pocket pc and then immediately soft reset, so the device thinks it's already done the ext rom setup..

Prophet AKU2.3 pdamobiz customized rom [G4 with SPL 2.15.0001]

I've installed Prophet AKU2.3 pdamobiz customized rom [G4!!, with SPL 2.15.0001] 16 MB version yesterday to try:
http://www.pdamobiz.com/show_news.asp?NewsID=68863
and it's AWESOME. The whole device is boosted up, so fast then never before! It's the best rom I've ever tried so far, honestly. Also movies, musics, all the menus and everything works fine, properly, without stack or any problem. It didn't need and CID unlock or anything, I had just to follow the instructions the program gave me.
The link above is in thai, but mainly the procedure is the following:
1. download the program (unrar it to the folder you want)
2. Backup all your important data from the Prophet
3. Run "Clear Storage" program on your device, wait for soft reset
4. Tap the screen once to get to the "Align" procedure, but stop here (cross will be shown in the middle)
4. attach your Prophet to the PC with active sync (cable!)
5. Cancel the Active sync recognizing procedure (anyway, Active Sync will establish the connection)
6. Now start the program from PC called "UPGRADE_ROM.bat"
7. Wait, give it the time to install ext.rom and everything
8. Hard reset your device (Push at a time: camera, conn.comm buttons and reset with the stylus, hold on on camera a connection button, then push the green phone button)
and it's done. The only disatvantage is that it installs a lot of quite unusuable program, too, but it's not annoying at all. If you install Spb pocket plus and Pocket informant, you're done, no need for these progs (more or less).

Is this AKU3 rom ENGLISH version? Any traditional chinese version?

Activesync always on

First of all, I want to thank all of you for giving all of us this information to do these things to our Wizards.
Second I would like to thank the cookers for their wonderful ROMs.
Third, please don't tell me to search... I have been searching for a couple of days but every post the search returns has dozens of pages, some hundreds!!
I have a new Cingular 8125. I am currently running Xplore 1.1. Every time I soft reset (Or hard reset for that matter). ActiveSync is running. How can I stop it from autostarting?

Power off the phone, or remove the battery. Then it won't restart...
Seriously, the thing is built in to restart on its own. I do have to say I don't tend to see it start up as much with WM6 as I did with WM5, but it still does show up in my icon bar as running. I'm not aware of a reghack or anything to stop it. Its just one of those dumb things Microsoft thinks its doing you a favor by restarting it.
Thanx mfrazz. I use task manager to shut it off, so I have a workaround, the funny part is it doesn't show running in Comm manager unless it is connected. But my Wifi doesn't work unless I shut it off... I did remove "WiFiInit" from my start-up folder. I don't want wifi to start on its own either. Now if I can disable GPRS completely....

Could anyone help me with a problem with my third screen of my smartphone 20757ROM?

I built a 20757 ROM for my smartphone AmoiE72(Also known as RoverPC R5,Orange C200,etc).After I succeeded in moving tornado's XIP to this device and let it word quite well, I faced a problem with the SYS.
After hundreds of times' build and flash,it always stop at the third screen,on that occasion, the activesync working, then I can use tools on PC to stop the program names"Startup splash".
And some time when I plug the Activesync line to the PC,the phone imediatelly passed the screen ,do not need to stop the thirdscreen manually. But when I remove the line and warm reset the phone,it stop at the third screen again!
can anyone help me with that?
Or if anybody knows how to ban or stop automaticlly that screen(ms_splash.png)
thx

Hi,
Looks like your device hangs on boot And if I understand correctly, it looks like it's waiting for a network connection, given the fact that the failure does not happen when AS is connected before you power up. Better check some settings in startup locations (system and registry) ...

Reboot causes data to be lost

Hello everyone
I'm having trouple running WM 6.5 on my HTC TYTN II.
After install it reboots and I can use it for the stuff I want. But when I've used it for some time (everything from 10 minutes to a days work), it hangs at some point. When it hangs I have to pull the battery and insert it again, which might be just fine if it remembered that I've already set up my phone and all my data is lost.
When I insert the battery again it boots and ask me to setup my phone, i.e. align screen, set clock (time is even reset) and so forth. I have to install all my apps (read: maybe 5) again, setup my exchange account and so on.
Can anybody help or have any ideas what to do?
After an install I do a hard reset and it boots.
I've installed a few releases, so I don't think it's related to that, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for any help!
