When i connect to USB lead My desktop wont even recognise the device, instead it tries to install it as a "Generic RNDIS (PROTOTYPE--Remember to change idVendor)
Now am i daft and missed something on the final setup, or have i broke it
Anyone else had this?
Cheers,
Mark.
Mark, did you upgrade ActiveSync to at least 4.1? It won't sync with version 3.8....
wasnt that, the PC didnt even recognise the device
the pc dont recognise the device unless activesync does
Same thing happen to me
FYI :
Device : XDA II
Bootloader version : 1.02
Is it because bootloader version ?
If that's because bootloader version, I already have bootloader file v 1.06, how too upgrade it ?
Thanks
bootloader
yes please anybody could share how to upgrade the bootloader, I do have the 1.06 bootloader as well.
thanks.
I have almost the same problem, JasJar with rom ver (before 1.30.82) dated may 2005, pc with xp + sp2 and I always get " rndismpx.sys" file missing when try to sync my mobile, and hence it is always not connected.
wud upgrade to 1.30.82 dated 2/22/06 solve the problem, or I must do something else. By the way, I did de-activate my firewall , but no way.
Thanks M Seif

Hi,
My Typhoon phone is freezed on the splashscreen (Blue sky with Qtek).
I want to upgrade the ROM but at this step it don't connect to the laptop.
How can I put th ephone in bootloader mode ?
Thx
I didn't know that Tornado and the Typhoon are the same.
Well try this, Turn off the phone, Press the Camera Key and Insert the USB Cable, and that will get you to the Bootloader Mode
or
Why don't you just try a Hard Reset first and see what will happen.
Goodluck.
Please transfer this on the Typhoon Category. Thanks
My device is a Tornado. (I dont know why I said Typhoon)
Now I am in bootloader mode. How can i upgrade the ROM ?
Thx.
Well Done ! I put my Tornado in bootloader mode. I have upgraded the ROM.
I am waiting for the result.

I just bought a used Tornado 2125. When I turn it on, all I get is the Cingular screen. It goes into the bootloader when doing a hard restart, but thats it. IF anyone can please help with this I would really appreciate it.
reflash the ROM. Follow the directions in Karoe's sticky thread, 3rd from the top in this forum.
I don't know how to flash the ROM b/c activesync won't read my phone. I cannot boot into windows Mobile. PC shows mobile device, but that's it. ONly reads USB in bootloader mode. WIll not read phone at all when sitting at the Cingular screen.
Bootloader Mode Says:
Tornado
IPL 2.00
Tornado SPL 2.00.0013
Did you SuperCID your phone? If you had, just make sure activesync USB is enabled, boot into bootloader, format binfs and then flash the ROM
If its not supercid, flash back your official ROM in bootloader, then read my guide
ok, so how do I flashback in bootloader? I have never done this before. Thanks.
the same way - normal update process
Hi dear developers, just bought an old FP2, usb-debugging succeeded, but the fone does not boot into fastboot, only the "Fairphone"-logo appears and it's even not possible to shut it down, except by removing the battery.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thx along, greetings, draftflash!
Ouh f... that IS the fastboot-mode!!!
Impossible to reach the bootloader on FP2 [SOLVED]
Yes, that is the exact description how Fastboot mode looks like. Fastboot mode means that your phone becomes a passive recipient of commands.
