i upgrade my rom from german to english
there is a way to go back ??
i meen to downgrade the rom to german again ?
thanks
please anyone ???
please anyone can help ?
at least the bootloader method will work. if you use an 'upgrade' tool im not sure if it denies to install when it detects a higher version on the device as the upgrade it contains.
bootloader doesnt care for versions it just overwrites all the rom.
Yes, download german version for sd card flashing, use xdatools to program sd card with rom from kitchen, then insert sd card to xda, push reset while holding power button, when prompted push the action key, once programmed, push once in the hole next to headset socket, wait one minute push once more, your phone will now be restored to german rom.
can you please tell me where to find xdatools and does...
does there is a manuel to read how to do it step by step
because im afraid to crash my device
second - do i must put the german rom for sending my device to the company if something happen ??
i heared that it can cancel the garentee of the device am i right ?
thanks
i appriciat if someone can please write a simple manuel how to do it because it is very important issue

Thanks for the reply, i realy am not that technicaly minded with phones/pda, i have just had a look through and am totaly lost and wouldnt know where to start,
Thanks
Alan
the procedure is simple
press power+reset+record buttons at the same time to enter in botloader mode, your screen should show "serial", place your device to the cradle and "serial" will change to "USB" then start the BAUpgradeUT.exe or MAUpgradeUT_NOID.exe from the folder of downloaded rom, follow the instructions onscreen, and thats it
If nobody else is interested, I'm in Birmingham, and will do it for a 1gb mini SD card plus the postage costs hehe.
Seriously though, if you devote an hour or two to following the procedures in the wiki, and familiarising yourself with the terminology, it's not that hard.
Take a look at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Helmi
Skip down to the section "Installation" about halfway down.
The bit at the start explains how to merge your ROM with the Ext ROM, which then gives you more storage space once you flash it.
I did this on my old BA, and Himalaya and a friends with no problems
Take a look at it, and follow it step by step to see if you think it's something you could do yourself. It's not as hard as it looks, but you do need to understand what you're reading.

If you don't want the advantage of increased storage, then yes, this is the process, but WM5 is better with it.

The forum you need to ask for help etc is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=273
The latest ROM thread is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=287448
I suggest you read the latter so you can see what (if any) issues people have with it are, and decide if you want to go ahead with it.

hi everyone,my problem is that after uprading my pm300 it stuck into bootloader any idea on how to solve this problem and is g4 i realy need your help urgently thx in advance
What ROM did you upgrade to? If it was to a WM6 ROM using the "new" upgrade method, you may have failed to hard SPL your device. What ever the cause, the solution (as ever) can be found on the wiki.
yes you are right i didnt HARDSPL my device befor updating with (ROM
MY GREEN EDITION WM6.1)is there any hope that my phone will come back to live,by the way thx for the reply
If the device can get into bootloader, it should be possible to recover it In my previous post there was a link to the wiki page for recovering devices from bootloader. If you want any more info, I'll be happy to try and help...

Enter bootloader mode and reflash :
- switch off your phone, hold the camera button and connect the usb cable. If USPL was flashed you should have no problem flashing another ROM
Bye

I See the RED - GREEN - BLUE Screen..
Look at the Wiki article on SD-Card flashing, that should be the easiest way to flash the ROM again!
Flash ROM/Radio from SD-Card
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=vox_sdcardflashing
1) Once you have all the files you need, either from the kitchen or from prepackaged ROMs (they can be extracted with WinRAR),
What Files do they mean? + where do i get these files?
=(
That just means that you have to have the ROM, either from the forum or self made through the kitchen! In your ROM there is a *.nbh file. Just follow the steps from there. The nbh is the only file you will need!

I have tried the SD Card Flashing, by following the instructions on the wiki. The bootloader will scan my SD card but comes up with and Invalid Certificate error and won't start the upgrade.
What now?

Buy HTC Diamond, and never again repair what is working fine! :-D
P.S.: Sorry my English Im Czech speaker.
Hi,
I'm quite new to xda-developers (*collective groaning at the newbie, I'm sure*); what happens to phones here is rather astounding, though, and I'd certainly be willing to make a small donation to anyone that can help .
My problem is as follows: I have an HTC Touch (an Elfin; I can post my device info if necessary), and I'd like to try upgrading the ROM (I've gotten Onyx 5.01 from the forums; it looks excellent). This alone isn't (shouldn't) be a problem for me, but my Touch has, I believe, lost a few pins in it's extUSB port over the years, and will not connect to Mobile Device Centre/ActiveSync through the USB port. I can connect through Bluetooth just fine... but certain expected problems arise from flashing a ROM over Bluetooth . So, what I really need to know, in fairly well explained steps, is: how can I (safely) flash my ROM using the microSD card?
I apologize in advance for any incorrect/misplaced terminology; feel free to correct/rebuke
-Kris
Search the stickeys. There are step by step instructions available
Can you give me a link to an appropriate thread/section of a thread? I've been rooting around all day, and I can't find anything that describes my situation; every guide I've found gets to a certain point and then tells you to "connect your device via USB..." - is there no way around a broken USB connection?

Soon, I will flashing my Elfin with this method. And I'm asking me if I must let the same name for the rom (ELF0IMG.nbh) or an other name. Can someone tell me if I must change or if it'sd OK with this name ?
Thanks.
PS : Sorry for eventually write error, I'm french.

Ok, thanks, I'd seen that before, but it tells me about an "Invalid Certificate" when I get to the rebooting part... which means my device is not CID unlocked, correct? Is there any way to CID unlock my Elfin without a USB connection?
Thanks again for the help

yes, the name must be that one, or the flash process wont start.

mmm... thats a problem because to cid unlock u must follow the white screen method. im pretty sure u might be able to get to the white screen by hand but not sure how u will flash it then.
another posibility is flashing the unbricker rom (by sd) and then i guess u can re-flash the spl by sd too.
anyway, im not sure. maybe aman or cmonex can help u with this.
Invalid Certificate too
Does the data in the SD card get deleted after flashin the ROM via SD card..???
no, it doesn't
Thread Closed as it Contains an Anwser.
first of all thnx very much for making this awesome and easy tutorial
http: // wiki. xda-developers .com/index.php?pagename=vox_sdcardflashing
but i wanna be sure that i don't make mistakes as been said and brick my phone
so... 1- if I am going to copy just the *.nbh file to my MicroSD-Card, why do I have to get all the files like flash.exe etc.???
2- that restarting process "Turn it off - Hold down the Camera button - Plug in the power cord" is that one after one or all together??? and the power cord would be the charger right???
3- I don't know a single tip about these stuff (flashing ROMs and etc.) so is there any thing else should I know before I follow that tutorial???
those could be silly questions but I'm so sorry I just got my phone and I don't wanna brick it :S
thanks alot for all of U guys and please excuse me for my bad English
1) The Rest is for flashing from a PC, they are included, because most people don't flash from SD.
2) The power cord is the charger and it's one after the other...
3) You have to do USPL first (to unlock custom ROMS), there is a Wiki article about that too.
thnx for replying.. but why most people don't flash from SD??? it seems very easy.. I just wanna know what could make them prefer other ways????
and isn't there a way to do USPL from SD too???

I'm flashing my vox by sd - allways, just because i'm on linux and other ways are inaccessible.
Bricking phone ? - i's possible, but very hard to get, when phone boots in tricolour then flashing is possible with any rom.
m32
I also always flash from SD, it's a lot faster
BTW: I need Windows for cooking anyway, so that is not the problem
