I cannot seem to send any emails. I get the following msg:
"Check that u have network coverage and that your account information is correct."
I can receive emails though. Is there a bug on XDAII? I did not have a problem with my ipaq 2210.

I can't seem to send emails from my XDA II. I have a wanadoo email account and have the correct smtp settings etc. Can receive but not send. Having the same problem with SMS.
Previously it worked fine with a tiscali account, although I fell out with them as they are useless. Just can't seem to set up the wanadoo account and get it working.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
David
When sending mails through O2 GPRS you must use the O2 SMTP server in your mail settings, not the Wanadoo mail server.
The O2 server address for SMTP is smtp.o2.co.uk
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your help. Seems to have sorted it.

I set up my Yahoo mail as Imap and ATT mail as POP3, both receive fine but can not send, does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it.
Thanks
Double check your outgoing server settings (authorization or not etc.). You should get help on your email providers websites (how to configure, step by step).
some mobile providers may block certain outgoing servers require and you may have to route emails via your mobile provider outgoing server.
or you can try using gmail's outgoing server assuming you have a gmail address (I think I have tried this once and it's worked).
My email works fine over wifi using pocket outlook. I don't have the ATT data plan just use my wifi.
I have my have tried setting my gmail account as pop and imap. Then email always works fine unless I try to send an email with an attachment I get this message.
The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again.
Anyone know about this and or fix?
I'm running wm6

Hi all,
I have a major problem with sending emails on my TP.
Let me start with saying: proxy is deactivated and I coudn't find anything about this subject in this forum.
When I delete all my accounts and setup a new one and try to send the first email, everthing works the way it is supposed to and it will be doing so for the rest of the day (ok, I didn't check that by sending emails every hour)
After a day or so (don't know exactely when this change happend) I can not send emails anymore. I'm 200% sure that I have not changed any settings so that can't be the problem.
The error message I receive when trying to send emails is:
"Can not send message, check network coverage and account details"
Does any of you know what causes this problem and how I can solve this?
Thank you very much in advance!
**edit** Okay, I tested the abillity to send emails every hour today (nothing better to do )
I created the account this morning and got the first send error around 6 hours later.
Same location and same reception (2-3 bars on 3G).
Strange, very strange
Does your ISP support IMAP and POP accounts. I use Yahoo, and i occationally get the same message, the only reason it could be is network coverage. If you are roaming, the speed may not be high enough for your service.
Also check the size of e-mail download, set it to 20kb and test it for a few days.
Hope this helps
Rih
ISP supports POP as well as IMAP.
Since receiving is not a problem at all, I also tried different smtp servers for sending email. But as soon as I get the first error message, I can not send emails from whatever server I'm using.
I'm also not roaming and have excellent speeds all the time.
Just curious: how does the download limit of 20kb affects the abillity to send emails?
I've set mine to download everything (whole message)
I had this problem and it ends upi a coverage problem, I get this error with 1 bar. and it wont send.
Also if you swap between wifi and 3G make sure you you SMPT is on your email provider and you tick the send secure mode. I =got caught on this using diffrent WIfi hot spots.
Hello,
Ever since I have had my AT&T Tilt (HTC Kaiser), I have always been able to receive Gmail emails, but never send them. Today a family member got a HTC Touch Pro and the retailer set up the gmail account for him. He IS able to send gmail messages through his HTC Touch Pro.
I went through his settings step by step and they were identical to mine.
Whenever I attempt to send an email, it gives me an Error Synchronizing message and the mail remains in my outbox. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
this probably wont help but you can give it a try. I had some problems with email and this is how i fixed it.
go to connections, select your connection and where it says this connection uses a proxy server make sure thats not selected. I have no idea why that fixed my problem but it did so you could give it a try.
Okay nope it says:
[X] This network connects to the internet
[ ] This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet
