Verfahren:
1. Resco-Explorer installieren
2. Mit dem Resco-Dateimanager aus dem Ordner \Windows\Autostart die Verknüpfung "BTIcon" löschen
3. Hardreset (mit Stift ins Loch)
4. Mit Resco-Registry den Eintrag HKLM\Microsoft\Bluetooth\HCI komplett löschen
5. Mit Resco-Registry den Eintrag HKLM\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Transports\BuiltIn\3 löschen
6. Alle Widcomm-Dateien in das Windows-Verzeichnis kopieren
7. Die Datei Widcomm.reg in "My Documents" kopieren
6. Mit Resco-Registry die Datei Widcomm.reg importieren
8. Mit Resco-Dateimanager eine Verknüpfung in "\Windows\Autostart" zu "\Windows\BTTrayCE.exe" erzeugen
9. Hardreset (mit Stift ins Loch)
10.Auf Heute-Seite Bluetooth-Icon anklicken und Bluetooth anschalten "Turn Bluetooth on"
11.Warten, bis Icon ganz blau
12.Auf Heute-Seite Bluetooth-Icon anklicken und Bluetooth-Manager starten
13.Mit Menupunkt Tools->Paired Devices mittels ADD das Bluetooth-GPS suchen, anklicken, Passkey eingeben und ok klicken
14.Mit Menupunkt New->Connect! .... GPS auswählen und Anweisungen folgen
15.Im Bluetooth Manager das GPS auf der Karteiseite "My Shortcuts auswählen" un lanke anklicken, connect wählen
16.TomTom-GPS starten, als Protokoll "NMEA 0183v2 Bluetooth" und als Schnittstelle "BT serielle Schnittstelle COM7" auswählen
17.FERTIG
Folgende Probleme bestehen noch:
Wird TomTom in den Hintergrund geschickt, wird die Bluetooth Verbindung beendet. Beim Start von ToTom wird aber automatisch wieder verbunden.
Das Headset läuft noch nicht.

8. Produce a linkage into "\Windows\Autostart" too "\Windows\BTTrayCE.exe" with Resco file manager
9. Hard RESET (with pin in the hole)
10. up hay width unit side Bluetooth Icon click and Bluetooth turn "turn on Bluetooth on"
11-wait, to Icon completely blue
12.Auf hay width unit side Bluetooth Icon click and Bluetooth managers start
13.Mit point of menu Tools >Paired DEVICES by means of ADDS Bluetooth government inspection department search, click, passport keys enter and to ok click
14.Mit point of menu new >Connect! .... Government inspection departments select and instructions follow
15.Im Bluetooth manager government inspection department on the card index side the "My Shortcuts select" un lanke click, connect select
16.TomTom-GPS start, when "NMEA 0183v2 Bluetooth" select minutes and as interface "BT serial interface COM7"

The following problems exist still:
If TomTom is sent into the background, the Bluetooth connection is terminated. When starting of ToTom however automatically again one connects.
The Headset does not run yet.

Thats exactly what I get! Though I haven't tried the reg settings JoseF
suggested yet.
It interesting that in the connection manager you can connect to the headset, and it rings when you do!
I'm even more sure that all is needed is a simple reg change to get the phone to switch to headset when it rings or when you call.

Ok here is a solution from tes (http://www.ppc-welt-community.info/Community/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37232)
So, if you don't delete the Microsoft-Bluetooth entries and don't make a new entry in the autostart you can start the Bluetooth-Stack you need. For navigation, use the widcomm.
For Headset, use the Microsoft.
If you disable the bluetooth, you can switch around.

Thanks to all who have put the time in to make the Widcom BT stuff work on the XDAII, it certainly does work.
If you really want to run both the Widcom and the MS stuff then you can do it this way. Don't put either shortcut into the StartUp folder. Instead, create a new folder (called BT for example) under Start Menu\Programs and put the two shortcuts in there. Then, neither runs at startup and you select which one to run whenever you want it. You still have to reset the device to change the BT software but this way it has worked every time for me so far.

Just had time to play around with the two BT stacks.
The good news is that you can actually have both running at the same time!
The bad news is only one can be enabled at any one time.
But this means that you can have both icons in the bottom right corner.
To switch on the headset : Turn BT off on Widcomm(W), turn BT on on MS, and then enable the headset.
To switch back to W turn BT off on MS, then turn BT on on W.
And thats all you have to do!
So not an ideal solution but a pretty workable one I thnk!

I did not need to reset the device. I have been driving 1 hour.
Change to bt headset at a custumer 30 min.
Turning back to bt Widcomm 45 min with gps.
At home back bt headset without reset. Its okey at the moment.

Further to this you can actually have both shortcuts in the startup dir.
But this will only work on a soft reset if the W Stack is disabled before you do it, (MS stack can be enabled or disabled).
Also when you apply the enable reg settings (in the other BT GPS forum), on the W BT browser you get a new option called 'headset'!
Though even if I get my headset paired and hooked up as a headset it doesn't work at all.

I now can use my Fortuna BT GPS reciever with my XDA II with Tom Tom, also I can use my Ericson BT Headset. Unfortunatly not at the same time but it is great to be able to have the funcionality of both. For my next battle will be to get it unlocked so when I am in Spain I can use my Spanish SIM. So far I have been told nope we won't unlock it but I tell them it is not legal and that they have already done it for others but still keep quoting we had a meeting a month ago and was told under no circumstances will we unlock them so thinking of sending it back and buying one from Expansys which are european versions and are UNLOCKED. :twisted:

Its a bit off topic, but I've heard that if you pay for all 12 months subscription in advance they can unlock it for you. Not sure how much of this is true though.
Not according to the supervisor I spoke to he was having none of IT. Said no way under any circumstances still I am not bothered played with it for a few days and will send it back there loss of contract and I will buy one from Expansys. :roll:

does anybody know, if the TomTom Navigator work on an MDA2. I've got my MDA2 since monday and i am not able to get TomTom Navigator (Version2 incl. the newest Updates) running. The installation-process works fine, but if I start the installed software, I get the lovely circling wheel in the middle of the screen...and that's all...hmmm...so, does anybody got a working installation of tomtom2 on an MDA2 or an XDA2 ???
Next question:
Does anybody have experiences with a Bluetooth-GPS-Mouse on a MDA2 (maybe this question is not very important, if the answer of the question above will be nefative ;-)

I had the same problem, then I tried a different SD (128 instead of 256) card for map storage and it works. I remember TomTom having the same problems with Ipaq 5450’s until HP issued a fix.

Please keep us informed, regardless if the Bluetooth GPS fails or not..
By the way: I read a review of the new Toshiba E800 PDA (which has a 480x640 screen :shock: and beautiful indigo color (finally something else)) and the author mentioned testing the PDA with a Rikaline Bluetooth GPS receiver.
At first, he had difficulties connecting the Toshiba and the Rikaline, but managed to solve it by setting TomTom to 'Bluetooth Card' instead of 'COM6'.....

Ich have a Himalaya with installed WM5 Buzz 3.33a Virgy Version . The system runs Superb
But : Ich have an Original Navigon-Triceiver-Mouse. When i start Navigon 5 everything is ok .Navigon searches the Mouse via Blurtooth pairs it an it works. But Navigon is not a good Sytem. I want to install Destinator or so.
I could not pair the GPS-Mouse with the Himalaya. While pairing i insert the pin an the system says its paired.
But: The Mouse is not paired . The Status LED keeps flashing.I tried everything but it doesnt work

I have a problem with the wired handsfree in my car, since I installed XDA_WM5_3.50aWWE ROM I can´t hear the sound of my xda 2 with my car speakers
With WM 2003 I could hear all sounds over my car radio ( handsfree with telephone mute output ).
Now with WM5 I can just hear the voice when I use the phone (but no TomTom or Mediaplayer sounds) and when I end the phone call my car radio is still muted until i remove my xda and connect it again.
May somebody help me. Please

Yes I can hear everything in the standardspeaker, just the Phone works with the handsfree.

The Problem is, that the WM5 wavedev.dll is not fully compatible with Himalaya, I assume, this is because of WM5 was not designed for Hima's...

Hi, i'm using the HD2 frequently with my In-Ear-Headphones, listening to music. During a phonecall, the microphone becomes active and everything is fine.
In case someone want's to talk to me or i just want to listen to external announcements, i pause the music-player. But the microphone stays inactive in this case. There's a need for removing the earphones. I didn't find an application which routes the microphone to the earphones when they are plugged in and the player is paused. Can somebody help me on this?

No solution for you, but are you saying that if you use 3rd-party headphones without a mic on the cable like the HTC ones, you can keep them plugged in for phone calls? Great! On my previous phones, IF there was a headset plugged in they would always switch to headset mic, but as there was none, I couldn't talk to the other person... so had to remove the headphones to answer a call.
So the HD2 is clever
This is a really good idea! Is there anyway to implement this? I'm sure one of the great developers on this site knows how to!
Since I'm using a BT-headset, I'm sure a solution that could work with wired headphones won't work with my BT-headset...

I'm using Kane with LineageOS18.1 from lineageos.org
Installation works fine. But when I try to make a phone call via Bluetooth, there is no audio. Controls are working. Media via Bluetooth is working as well. The same behaviour with headset and handsfree.
I already try to change some settings in the developer settings. Nothing changed.
Any solution or hint is very welcome.

The Phone is showing the Band. But the Band is not recognizing the Phone. So the Band is not show the confirmation to pair Bluetooth.

Under the developer options, the same things are visible and choose-able.
But my Bluetooth headset is working properly.
(I'm able to choose Bluetooth when I am in call)
