I've read through a few threads around obd connection issues and such, but this is just generally using Bluetooth to connect to my phone via the Bluetooth app.
The Bluetooth app doesn't seem to save any inputs for name or password, i tried the reset button but that just comes up with "reset unsuccessful"?
Also tried clearing storage under the app, that didnt help
Unsure what to try next?

Device name will be the name of your phone head unit when scanning detects your phone...set phone bluetooth to scan, set head unit to scan (slide down at top of screen to make sure bluetooth is toggled on then enable BT scanning....the Device field should auto populate with phone name detected while scanning....password is 0000....that also should auto populate
thanks for the response, i tried all kinds of combinations to pair the phone with the headunit. Including other phones. Even the TEYES OBD2 device is never found.
Also, i think those settings are to do with the headunit and not already paired devices. I've seen a few other videos where these fields have TEYES and 0000 predefined. This TEYES video has it called CARKIT
I've tried a few more things;
factory reset (from settings -> user -> backup and reset)
removing and re-plugging in the cabling with Bluetooth antenna
Still no luck, stuck scanning with nothing showing up... (even TEYES OBD2 devices doesn't show)
Is this normal ?
ok, so i think it is resolved... what i did;
followed instructions here, assuming this is a hard reset - https://teyes.co.nz/pages/cc3-2k-april-2023-29-04-2023?shpxid=23b36055-992d-4ddd-8fba-327143c7af43
obtained latest firmware for CC2 2K
modified config.txt updating sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=0
inserted usb stick, let the update run
fixed, bluetooth working again - headunit is named TEYES, code 0000
one more note, i have heard from another user that pressing the "Reset Bluetooth" button in the Bluetooth app as seen above can actually cause the problem. The only recovery is a full re-flash as above.

You can actually just have that line in the config txt file and it will reset the blue tooth without factory reset or reloading firmware.
I’ve just done it.
I just wanted to say thank you for posting this solution! I had the exact same issue and was able to fix it by adding that single line in the config.txt and doing a config-only flash since I'm not rooted.

What number did you both replace with a zero?
Most of the older FYT devices (including the older Teyes) used sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=1 and this could be changed to sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=0
The newer devices seem to use sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=7, or sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=0
I'm wondering if your newer units were set to 1 by mistake. It's odd that the included Teyes odb wouldn't even connect.

I wasn't able to check on my actual unit before flashing and the latest firmware update config.txt file didn't have that line at all so I added it myself.
In this older firmware update from October 2022, the number seems to be set to 1 so I assume that was the value on my unit when the issue happened. (forgot to mention, I have just the regular CC3)
Is there any documentation that might explain what bluetooth_type 0, 1, or 7 might mean?

It's my belief that 0 uses the Bluetooth module built in to our Unisoc chipsets.
1 uses an additional Bluetooth module installed on our motherboards and 7 uses a newer Bluetooth module on the newer motherboard's (like the CC3 2K and Mekede M6 Pro).
So for your older cc3 you can use 0 or 1 and the newer units can use 0 or 7
double post, sorry !
Hi ! I have the same problem just 3 days after installation...
There is solution without full re installation ?
Or it s possible to modify the text file directly from the unit?
Thanks a lot !

UPDATE (3-8-17) - I ran the app again today and a window popped up saying there was an update available. It downloaded, I updated (and the update actually worked this time) and now it works!
My MTCD-KD 5.1.1 head unit came with the Easyconnect app. I connect my phone to the unit via usb, the app recognizes my phone, my phone has usb debugging running and I click OK in the dialog box when it connects, my phone's screen immediately goes to Car Mode, but the app fails at "Step #2 - Install MOB interconnection service".

I read somewhere on these forums that the app needs to be updated to work with 5.1.1. I downloaded the new apk file from one of these forums and I had the vendor that sold me the head unit send me the newest version as well. Both these apk files fail immediately when I try to install them.
Am I missing something? I am still running everything stock since I just installed the head unit in my car a few days ago and I am still feeling it out before I try to customize it. Also, what the heck does MOB stand for?
Did update the HU to latest version?
If yes, did you turn on that option which allows apps to be installed from unknown source in the settings?
And lastly, there is the same setting for unknown source app installation in the factory settings as well, try turning on that too.

I knew it had to be something kind of obvious. So what exactly is the MOB Interconnection Service that fails to install? If I could get that to work I will be in business!
And yes, I installed the newest MCU version hoping that was the issue, but it didn't change anything.

No idea. Mine didn't ask. It downloaded a license and then automatically downloaded a license. It installs the package to your phone via ADB. Did you have Adb turned on? You should get a box asking you to allow the device to connect and you just say OK. It uses ADB to install the client end. There is no activation code that I know of. What kind of phone?

Had similar issue with my phone (Motorola Z Force, USB C). First off it wouldn't connect with my HU at all. Then I tried a shorter cord (3ft rather than 6ft), now it would connect and work for about 5-10 seconds before disconnecting. Then I tried a 1ft USB C cord, and it works perfectly.
Read about a similar issue with Pioneer HUs and some USB C cords not working from being too long, apparently ours do as well and my solution was to use a very short 1ft cord plugged into the female extension lead that came with the kit.
Cheers
problem solved

Hey everybody i have a problem with Easy connected in Honda connect by HRV and i have an error 0x11 its adb-ec not found not exist. Whats is this?
I experimented with this app a while ago and couldn't get it working, it would never see the phone. I eventually figured out that it had to be plugged into the bottom USB port on my unit (KGL) for it to see it. Maybe this might help someone else with connection issues.
Im running 4.4.4 i downloaded the easy connect app and installed threw the mocro sd slot. The app i keep trying looks nothing like what i keep seeing on youtube and on other forum pictures. It connected to the phone one time just enough that i could see my phones vodeos on the radio.
My wife has 7.1, app already pre-installed. 5 minutes and i had complete mirror working in both ways setup and running car launcher AG.
Every old forum post with a link to the app i download is the wrong one. Im almost to the point of upgrading to a newer head unit.

Update
Hello,
Can you please tell me where the update was? On the phone or the stereo?
Hello, guys I'm new at this and I got a Ekiy T7 9 inch for my Peugeot 508 2013, the wheel controls worked, but in many ways it failed, I tried to work it out with the seller but no luck, I'm really disappointed, but maybe you could help me out.
I'm disappointed because you cannot configure as I've seen in other canbus settings, camera resolution and all the stuff to switch from reverse to front camera.
So here is my question, that can be done by changing the canbus or the firmware, to get all the options?
I've seen other moldels of canbus according to they site are compatible with my peugeot.
I attached pics of muy specs and menu,
PLEASE HELP, I can't afford to send it back or buy a new one.

Never got around to hooking up my canbus decoder (no factory wires on the radio harness), but I've read it's common to need to adjust the baudrate to get the headunit to recognize the decoder. Have you tried this? Which decoder is selected currently in factory settings?

Hi, thanks for the response, I selected my car a Peugeot 508, ir has the option of RCZ and 2019, chose 2019 due works better..
But still missing options and for example I saw some vids that the car reverse original sound, the beep, works in this unit doesn't, what I was planning if I find which canbus they have, install that one, if that doesn't brick the unit and maybe I can get all the options for the canbus.
But I want to be sure, if that doesn't brick the unit or i have the desired result.

Changing the CANbus decoder will not brick your unit. Check with your reseller whether he send you the correct decoder.
Replacing your FYT firmware with other FYT firmware will probably not brick your unit either, but might work not as good as you do need some minor tweaks to adjust it for your specific unit.
But first check with your reseller whether he sent you the correct decoder

Ok,
I talked last night, my time with some canbus sellers, they told me it was not probably a decoder problem.
As far as I could find is the same decoders that normally uses other radios, seems that the factory settings menu is not full developed by the seller engineer department or developer team or manufacturer, so is missing options and features, to be called. Mine is PSA-RZ-69 others are 15, it seems is newer by the date is set in it.
Don't know if I can just change that menu? and I'm not an expert of firmware changing or tweaking, more programing...I'm good following instructions and technology, if is not too complicated I could try, just changing that ROM..
After I open a dispute te seller agreed to show to the department of engineers, some vids of other units that has it and are similar to mine...and try to solve the issues I presented to him.
For me, the biggest issues is that I cannot setup the front camera for it to swap after I disengage the reverse gear, also it doesn't show the lines, also that I lost the original car beeping sound of the sensors through the car spearkers, that I see it works with almost the same canbus decoder in other radios...
My best bet is software related...I'll keep posted if the seller resolves the issue...
I have another question, I can change the BT app of the radio, only that, for a better one? that accept split screen?

Hello everyone,
I'm having a problem with Xtrons PQ89UNVIP – MTCE PX6 unit running on Android 9 and Hal9k Mod V4 with all OTA-Updates in a Golf Mk6.
Earlier, this unit occasionally had some difficulties connecting to the hotspot from any phone (tested with various devices) shortly after starting the car, especially during hot weather. Usually a reboot helped and after that it connected to my hotspot normally. I complained to Xtrons about it and got a new wi-fi antenna from them, but swapping it didn't solve my problem. Not feeling like sending the whole device back, I decided to accept it and live with it, as it was not a big problem for me because it occurred quite rarely.
However, a few days ago the issue escalated, the head unit does not want to connect to the hotspot from my phone at all. It sees the device's network, makes an attempt to connect to it, but it fails. At first glance it looks exactly the same as the problem I had before (continuous Connecting -> Saved, see the video below), except that a reboot doesn't help, the weather/temperature doesn't matter, and it connects normally to hotspots from other phones. I also tried to do it in Safe mode.
My phone is a 3-week-old OnePlus Nord 2 5G with Android 11. Until the last few days, the hotspot worked perfectly. I tried changing the name and password of the hotspot, resetted network settings completely on both devices, tried both 2,4 and 5 GHz band and various other options. Once shortly after renaming the hotspot, it was able to connect to it, but a few seconds later the connection was dropped. Other devices can normally connect to the hotspot from my phone.
Video showing the issue:
Before I restore the device to factory settings and have to install and set everything up again (which doesn't guarantee me a solution either), I would like to know if anyone has an idea what else I could do to fix this.
I would be very grateful for any willingness to help, I am desperate because this unit without internet connection loses most of its functions I used
Greetings,
Bansuj

Hello everyone.
So I recently bought 2 Samsung S21 for me and my wife, but only one is recognized by our car, the other not. I suspect that somehow the problem is with USB File Transfer not being correctly enabled.
For the cell phone that works, we plug it to the car via USB cable and instantly the car recognizes it, pair and works.
For the fault cell phone, we connect it to the car via USB cable and nothing happens, it just start charging and nothing more.
I could see that the working cell phone has a "USB Settings" menu accessible via notification panel, while the other one doesn't. Talking about this menu:

I already:
Accessed the Developer Options and changed Default USB configuration to Transfering files
Did a Factory data reset (soft reset)
Restarted the car's system to factory default
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance

Normally a phone has to first connect via Bluetooth. Check if the faulty phone does so. If not, bluetooth pair it with your unit.
Only then connect it it via USB to your unit and see if it now works.
Even though this is a phone question, next time mention what kind of unit you have, which Android version level, etcetera.

Yes @mobilefox , very important information to us to help providing well targeted answers !
Thank you for the answer.
I just noticed the faulty phone cannot transfer files to Windows and the working one can. It is the same behavior, when connected to USB, just charging. Must be something about data/transfer not enabled
Android 12 I suppose, check if , when connected via usb, both units ask for data transfer / charging only question !

Or a faulty USB-C connector. My previous Samsung had that as well.
Just an update:
I could manage to make the faulty phone to connect both to computer and car.
The only way I could do it was:
Plug-in the USB cable both in phone and car/computer
With cable connected and phone charging, access Developer Options
Changed Default USB configuration from "Transfering files" to any other options (Transferring images by example). Right after doing it, "Transferring files" turned into "Transferring files / Android Auto"
Changed back to "Transferring files"
Doing it the car recognized the phone immediately and could open Android Auto.
The only problem is that doing this, bluetooth connection gets unavailable (what makes no sense to me).
It is not the ideal, I'd like to use both AA and Bluetooth like in the working phone, but posting here to maybe help someone else having this issue.
If I can manage to get this working 100% I'll post again.
Thank you for the answers.
Btw, the Android Version is 13 and not 12 as I commented at the end of my first post.

Hello,
I bought the device "NaviFly-Autoradio Android 12, M6 Pro Plus 7862S 8 + 128GB 9.5inch" and "Media player frame with power cable and canbus box, 9 inches, for Alfa Romeo giuletta 2010 – 2014".
I have some problems:
1: I find that the screen quality is not great for the 2K, it is at the limit of the 1080P.
2: the quality of the launcher is really bad with some application that is displayed pixelated.
3: I especially have a second Bouygues Telecom 4g Sim card for mobile data sharing and it is not recognized by the device.
4: Steering wheel controls are not recognized.
5: Unable to insert my car logo.
6: Menus are not intuitive.
7: I feel that the bone is bridled.
Would anyone have a solution to solve the problem at least 4g or even the way to change rom? thank you.

1) I am very happy with the unit's dispaly coming from a 1024x600 unit. AIDA64 says its indeed 2000x1200 but if you dont like it you dont like it, its a matter of taste. However if your unit is not faulty then this is the best dispaly you can currently get i think
2) well you can go in settings factory setting (code: 3368) and change the UI. Also you can find other UIs to download and install with usb method.
3) I have no expirience. I have ordered my extra sim for the car, once it arrives i will try it out. (live also in an EU country)
4) probably Canbus isnt configured. Go to settings factroy settings and there choose cabus and choose the brand and car type (mekede came with Rizen (RZ) canbus)
5) Tough cookie indeed, i also didnt succed alhough its possible. Probably you should flash it with the usb method, but havent looked into it too much. It must be noted, logo has to match the display screen reosultion and must be in BMP file format
6) Well its very subjective not sure what you mean but there is an app which can give you access to the real android settings with more options. and then there is quickshrotcutmaker with which you can create shortcusts for further access (like battery and autostart menu)
7) not sure what you mean.

Thanks for the directions. I’m seeing my mechanic next week for a look.
I’ve triggered a claim to get my money back if it doesn’t work.
I hope you succed. The mechanic if not expirienced with Adnroid Headunits and with FYT type of units might not be able to help you softwarewise but he can indeed check the mechanical parts and wiring for sure.

Hello,
I bought the device "NaviFly-Autoradio Android 12, M6 Pro Plus 7862S 8 + 128GB 9.5inch" and "Media player frame with power cable and canbus box, 9 inches, for Alfa Romeo giuletta 2010 – 2014".
Would anyone have a solution to solve the problem at least 4g or even the way to change rom? thank you.

You need to do a hard reset for the unit to recognize the sim-card after install. i.e. push a pin into the reset hole.

No need of hard reset. But restarting the os is needed for sure.

Call it what ever you like, but use the pin and the reset hole and all will be fine.
