how can I install a custom recovery on my a125w I have tried to install twrp before but it ended up failing as the touch is not responsive I am assuming that it is not for the right a12 model
you can't because a125 f/w/s/k/l has mediatek so you can't install custom ROM

You can. Use a GSI instead. You can use rainbow kernel, or use GSI Repacker in this forum (I recommend GSI Repacker since it works with touch and doesn't modify kernel)

people can use the cwm recovery for the G360H to create an for G360F, the product are similar only 4G not present on the 360H. caution because i see the recovery arent on /dev/block/mmcblk0p21 but on /dev/block/mmcblk0p17.
ps: i try to flash recovery from G360H and cant go to recovery.
Anyone has CWM or TWRP compiled for SM-G360H?
9999 hours in linux
Not sure if it works, I don't have the phone ( I will in 1 week or so, but not sure if the LTE or non-LTE)
anyways this is for G360F
and I compiled it with -eng, so maybe there is more debug output..
Also I don't know the GPIO key values so I don't think you will be able to move through the menu.. I only want to know if its bootable.
zip is not flashable
Edited, not bootable
Look at the latest post, new image!!
Is the recovery tested?

I think I know what's the issue now. Just one more test,
attached are two recoveries, both are TWRP, one is using the stock kernel that the default recovery uses and the other is my compiled kernel.
Try both and please tell me if it works or not.
Try using adb if the phone doesn't restart or the touch screen doesn't work in TWRP
Also everyone can try it, go ahead.
And another thing, I used the kernel from the recovery.img of the OP.
Edit: Look at my second post for the recoveries..

The thing that bothers me is that the error is very generic and doesn't explain anything, it has to be something related to knox. You downloaded the one in this post, right?

yes i downloaded the right one, i think the knox is integrated in the recovery or in the boot.img. this is the grand prime twrp recovery forum it has the same spec only the display is different 5 inch compared to 4.5 on core prime. http://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/share-twrp-2-8-4-0-galaxy-prime-t3064506

I extracted the stock firmware AP
replaced the recovery + vbmeta
Rezipped it in .tar
Tried flashing it than it worked
Than I found out that you have to flash magisk and disable vm verity in order for the system not to autoreplace TWRP with stock recovery
And rmm state disabler to not get locked out of the device ..
But after that it works flawlessly .
Just that I don't know what custom rom could be good for this phone!

Yes thank you ! ?
I got a Motorola G8 Power, and as far as I know, it will not get Android 12, so I was wondering if there is already any Android 12 stable GSI (because I doubt that there are any ROMS, and even less likely for this device).
Also, if I installed it, would I get any OTA updates? What about Google Play Services? Would it be better to just install a ROM like HavocOS (GSI) and wait for them to release the Android 12 update?
Thanks in advance.
Apparently now their is. Check https://ci.android.com/builds/branches/aosp-android12-gsi/grid?

Yes. You have to get the version that corresponds to your phone. For example, my Moto G8 Power is an ARM64 device, so I visited this website and downloaded this zip file containing the boot images, the system image and the vbmeta image.

What about the vendor am I going to flash it?
Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short. Its a fully touch driven user interface, completely theme-able & you can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Now ported to the SM-A315F | SM-A315F/DS | SM-A315G/DS | SM-A315G | SM-A315N. (DS means Dual Sim, thing that doesn't matter a lot for TWRP)
I am not responsible for any bricked imei, when flashing TWRP backup the EFS & NVRAM partitions to be safe, do not root until having an actually good working backup, if you signal goes restore your backup, if you didn't have a previous backup I got a fix for you , flash your firmware as always but on the CP slot in Odin Flash Tool get the CP slot from a CUD4 firmware corresponding your CSC code.

There is for A32 -- not much as it should, but it at least has. A31 has no, basically no rom other than the stock. It's a real pity.
I won't stop saying that until one pops up out of nowhere then I shut my mouth while it didn't happen I couldn't... deal with it the same way we do
Send me the xda thread of that roms.
I doubt A32 got more to offer than A31
And roms don't pop out of nowhere, we're trying to develop and that requires time, money and people.

You cannot, unless you use BROM Mode, which I do not recommend, since A125W and A125F are really different even though the model just has a change in the letter at the end, and it can brick your device permanantly.

Yeah you cannot, because the A125F is very different, and the A125W, if unlocked version is already equivalent to the A125F, so why would you? I think you can use A125F TWRP, and etc on A125W fine, so no need.
and A125F will give you pretty much the exact same signal and speed capabilities as the A125W, so if that's your reasoning, there's absolutely no need to do it.

If your storage is encrypted you didn't install twrp correctly.
1. Connect to pc and boot into stock recovery
2. Factory reset
3. Reboot into download mode.
4. flash twrp tar file into the ap slot
5. reboot to recovery

Or flash samsung multidisabler zip
Or, for older phones flash dmverity zip
8. Reboot to recovery from main menu (not just reboot)
Backup boot, data, super and dtbo
