Hello all,
I have installed a Joying 7” unit on my brera with bose system, without blue and me.
I can’t make the steering wheel comands to work.
I previous i had a Josmile PX5 unit with this steering wheel adaptor (alfa-bg-01) and it worked, steering comands, temp, volts, door open, trunk open.
Now i have connected the can adaptor RX to key 1 and TX to key 2.
On the car socket i have 5 pins:
- 1 can b high - to can adaptor
- 2 booster in - no connection
- 3 can a low - to can adaptor
- 4 +12V - to player +12V
- 8 GND - to player GND
From the can adaptor i have a blue wire SWC witch i don’t have space to connect to headunit socket
I attach:
- picture of the adaptor
- wire diagram of joying
- wire diagram of the socket adaptor (as the wires entered the old PX5)
In the joying factory/can bus alfa romeo does’t exist, i contacted joying europe and they said to leave to none and also couldn’t figure why comands don’t work.
Can you guys help me please?
Is it an MTCD device, post Android system information including MCU version

After playing with the idea for almost 5 years I think I am now ready to buy an Intercom for my old bike (1984 BMW R100RS).
My intention with the intercom is to be able to speak with the pillion rider of course, but mostly it is to have the ability to use the features of the Himalaya (Qtek 2020), including:
• GSM speech (from both rider and passenger)
• Audio (directions e.t.c.) from the Navigator software (GPS Bluetooth connected – so there are no issues regarding the GPS)
• Audio when using it as an MP3 player
I want to connect the intercom with the 22 pin flat connector, because I also want to charge the phone, and do not want to have the troubles of connecting two connectors (round and flat) at the same time.
I have had a look on the page: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/Connectors. Instead of going for the DIY Car-handsfree, is it possible to connect the pins from the Himalaya directly to the intercom unit? The intercom unit it prepared for attaching phones.
Audio Connections:
As I read the description (and if it is possible to connect directly into the intercom unit) I would connect it as follows (since the microphone and speakers will be connected to the intercom unit, the following is the “virtual” connections through the cable into the intercom unit and onwards to the mic./speakers in the helmets):
Microphone:
Pin 1 – Line in
Pin 5 – Mic. Ground
Right Speaker:
Pin 3 – Left Speaker
Pin 5 – Speaker Ground
Left Speaker:
Pin 4 – Left Speaker
Pin 5 – Speaker Ground
Question:
I am not sure about pin 19 (CAR_ON#), but as I read it, it must be connected to ground (not the audio ground), in order to have all audio input/output come from/to the intercom. Is that correct?
Charging connections:
I will be using a 5V (7805) regulator, and connect:
Pin 20, 21, 22 – + 5V
Pin 16, 17, 18 – Ground (and maybe pin 19 – se above)
Question:
The “Power hookup” digram shows pin 15 (UDC-) should be connected to the ground, along with pin 17 and 18 – but not pin 16.
Pin 19 is connected to +5/6V, but the pin 20 is not.
What is correct in my case – the “DIY Car-handsfree” or the “Power hookup” diagram?
Summary:
Have I overlooked something (forgotten connections/wrong connections)?
Will what I have described work as intended?
Has anyone had any experiences connecting the Himalaya to an MC intercom?
The Intercom:
The intercom I have in mind is an Autocom Active-Rider (kit 3). http://www.autocom.co.uk/
Thanks in advance for your help.
Steen
Did you have any success?
I have the MDAIII and want to use it on my motorbike with the Autocom.
Yes
I have used it all of this season, and coversation possible up to 180 km/h - which is as fast as my old Beemer can do.

Hi steen, are you still around?
I've just fitted an Autocom to my BMW and I am now looking to connect my XDA IIs to it and wondered if you could help with a schematic?
Andrew
I've just bought an Autocom unit and have laid it out for a dry run. I've fitted the speakers into the helmets and mike boons. When I attached my XDA mini s, I attached it through the headphone jack with a 2.5mm. Trouble is, when I receive a call, Ican hear them but they cannot hear me as it is in the headphone slot. Is there anyway of connecting the phone so that I can be heard, ie, via the mini USB slot.
Thanks in advance.
i think you will find you need a 4 ring 2.5mm plug for the mini s. im not sure which does what yet but will be looking into this soon. i think though it goes from the tip to the body of the plug
tip audio (poss left)
ring 1 audio (poss right)
ring 2 mic
ring 4 ground (common to both mic and audio)
so if you are using a normal 3 ring 2.5mm you will be shorting the mic to ground thus it cant be heard.
All you will need to do then is patch them to the correct connections on the bike system.
Im wanting to do this for myself but im going to build into the connection between the mini s and the bike system a push switch (add the patch to get the talk button to fire up the voice dial) and copy the wiring on the mini s supplied headphones.
I have used it all of this season, and coversation possible up to 180 km/h - which is as fast as my old Beemer can do.

What is your HU model number?
Check under Factory settings/canbus for a suitable option for your car; based on some Dasaita units wiring information your car need a decoder named CB008 if you previously had the default 7" screen unit
Usually you need a canbus decoder box to retain SWC controls or maybe you need connect wires named KEY1, KEY2, KEY GND to steering wheel for use controls.
Hi
Thank you for replying. Mr car did not have the 7 inch screen (NAV).

I tried changing the canbus option to number 37(on the radio) but this does not work.
Do you know which of the plugs need to be connected?(see original post)
On a different note. I put the OEM radio back into the car.
It now says "Locked, contact dealer"
What do I do to get this working?

Hi All,
I need to find some info for the Can adapter so i can fix my issue and help other people with similar problems too .Owner of an MTCD PX5 unit, specific for Mercedes ML (W164) that came with the Can adapter.
From day one the steer wheel buttons worked (vol up/down, phone) and reverse camera out of the box BUT i had no vehicle info at all (door opened, fuel level, temperature, parking sensors etc) as many of the users especially on VW units have. The car is a 2010 model therefore the canbus info should be plenty. Tried all the combinations of CanBus under the extra settings with no luck.
One think i noticed is that i had NO Vehicle.apk or microntek apk and MTCCanbus.apk installed on the unit. I tried to install but installation was failing for both. Even copying to system/app/** didn't worked.
Any idea ?
BTW Anyone knows what is the Knob Mode under extra settings ? Mine is set to : 2 10k/20K ADC Ports
Details:
Unit: MTCD PX5
MCU: MTCE_GS_V3.00_3
ROM: Halk9 Mod 3.1 (Android 8)
Can Adapter : GS 10280514 / HW:V2 SW:V3
Can adapter Setting: 23 Benz_B200(simple)
Hi, i have the same car the same headunit and the same problem.
All is fine but i want to have more can-informations/functions.

Good to know that this is a generic issue and not specific to my unit and car. It seems a lot of people with Mercedes cars have similar problems. I wonder if this is related with the cheap implementation of the Chinese Can adapters or related with the car.
Will keep searching
Another thread is open with more technical details for similar issue, more HW oriented though here > https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcd-discussion-questions-development
I have the same car w164 and px5 android 8
The same problem.
No I have more problems the canbas stop working no reverse camera no Wheel key vol working and no led light on unit key, I think my canbus dead ?
Hello, I bought car (Peugeot 307, 2005 - restyle) with already installed px5 headunit. The seller gave me a link where he bought it: https://www.erisin.com/erisin-es788...seat-peugeot-307-dab-gps-dvd-p0178-p0178.html
"(...) 7" All-in-One Design for old VW Cars with built-in CanBus Decoder..."
Car has no working steering wheel control (no external canbus decoder), but the auction on aliexpress says it has Build-in canbus decoder. I tried to activate it in Car Settings. I plug can-H and can-L wires into big black plug (numbered as 17 in the photo), taking schematic from this auction (where my friend with skoda superb bought the very same looking headunit);

My question: is there a chance to run it without external canbus decoder? How to do so?
Is it an MTCD
it is MTCE unit
Hi everyone
I have a facelift 2010 Lexus IS250 F Sport, I've had some large success installing this XTRONS head unit for it and I am largely satisfied with it. I am however having an issue with getting Steering Wheel Controls to work with the head unit.
Lexus | Various | Android 10 | Octa Core | 4GB RAM & 64GB ROM | Integrated 4G Solution | PMA10ISLS
XTRONS PMA10ISLS is a 10.1" large screen car stereo with customized face panel and optimized CANbus Decoding for Lexus. It supports CarAutoPlay, built-in DSP, PIP mode enabled ,Dual Theme, Instant Rear Vision and so on.

This ISO Wiring Harness is compatible with XTRONS custom fit units PSP10ISL,PMA10ISL etc. If your car is Lexus IS250/IS300/IS350 Convertible (2-door)with original navigation or fibre amplfier system, you need this cable to aid for the installation.
xtrons.co.uk
This is the unit I purchased, alongside a special wiring harness so that I could use it with my vehicle as its a facelift Navi.
With the default CANbus setting on my head unit, only Volume control seems to work and the phone call buttons and voice command buttons are mapped to functions like Radio and Hey Google but I cannot programme these on the app. With an alternative CANbus setting I get skip track functionality but I get different AC Controls and lose access to my factory amp settings.
The original wiring harness I got for the headhunt has not been used at all as I was instructed to usr the special harness, and that original harness had a CANBUS decoder. XTRONS claim that I am unable to programme the SWC due to the CANBUS needing to decode it, although I have played around with the settings and selected various different CANBUS settings.
Would anyone be able to advise me on how I can get the SWC working, would it involve plugging the CANbus decoder into the head unit? There is a 12 pin connection spare at the back but I am unsure if that would make the difference or not.
