I get pestered with security patch update notifications on my XT-2215-4 non stop. I am rooted, the service I need to disable (com.motorola.ccc.ota) is set as non-disable so I can't disable it via ADB.
Anyone have any magisk/lsposed modules that can help stop these annoying pop ups? Anything else I can disable?
This should work for any moto phone afaik. Disables the app under system, system_ext, and product partitions.

Thank you. I will try this and post an update.
edit: 5 days later, not a single notification since I've installed your magisk module. Thank you so much!

Hi Everyone.
I'm having issues trying to get secure settings set up with tasker. When I attempt to enable System+ Module it initializes forever. The one time I got it to work, it was operational for about five minutes, before it disabled itself on its own. I have SuperSU set to allow all apps that request root. Its still not working.
Any ideas? Thanks!
I have it running fine on my device. What steps have you tried to get it working? Rebooted the device? Cleared data and cache? Uninstalled and reinstalled?

Make sure you activate the system+ module prior to granting administrative access. Also make sure you have root.
I installed a new version of the settings app (I'm assuming from the OnePlus 7) and now it only Force closes. Any suggestions on how to downgrade it? I can't access the app info. I'm not rooted and don't want to. I also can't access recovery because I guess my phone is encrypted and asking for a password but I never set it.
What did you download, from where? What OS? Substratum (this could be it if your themed)? Logs?
It's the OnePlus settings app from apkmirror. No root or mods or themes. Open Beta 18

The password for recovery is the PIN you have on your phone.

Hi,
I had the same issue as you but I was rooted and had TWRP. I tried to install OOS 9.0.5 again but it didn't worked...
So the last idea I had was to boot on the second partition.
And it worked.
You can try to boot on fastboot and type : "fastboot--setactive=_a" or "fastboot--setactive=_b" to switch partition and reboot. It should work for you too.
Oh that's a good idea. I ended up getting one of the app uninstaller apps from the play store and was able to uninstall the settings update.
Android 9.0
Rooted with magisk and twrp installed.
I know it can be disabled in security and lockscreen settings. But it very often re enables itself.
I can't see any independent system app which might be responsible for it.
Is it a part of play services? Can i disable any individual service of play services using tools like servicely to freeze device manager?
Any other ideas?

Please read the post again. I have already mentioned that the method you are suggesting is a temporary one. It often re enables itself on its own.

Is it possibly re-enabling when you reboot? Maybe enabling itself is part of the boot process due to the possibilty that other selections you've made/set in device/security settings are overriding the fact that you turned it off prior to any subsequent reboot.

Anyone else getting a popup telling you your device will shut down in 1 minute (countdown)
This has recently started to happen and I'm confused if it's the phone or a malicious app doing something.
Any info on this?

Can you post some screen shoots. And using which apps exactly cause this.

I have no clue on what system/app is asking me to do this.
I know my battery hit 15%
Battery saver turned on
Then this popup ask me to shut my device off.
If I don't select a option it will turn off on its own.
Options = cancel or turn off
If it happens again I will screenshot it.
Do you by any chance have "scheduled on/off" timer on your phone? It's in settings > Utilities

Thanks I feel dumb. I don't know how I set it to 2pm instead of 2am
A mod can close this thread. Thanks.
I had this once. Are u using magisk and did a dirty os upgrade?
If than go to twrp and delete all modules from magisk. In the twrp file manager.
Just delete everything in \DATA\ADB\MODULES.

Nice to see your problem is solved!
Hi,
I have BV9800Pro with Android Pie (MediaTek P70) and now I noticed that after reboot, some banking apls and lockmypix app has problem with fingerprint. Jf I go to settings, remove it and add it again, then all is ok again with all apls, but after reboot, banking apps + lockmypix dows not allow for me to unlock uaing fingerprint because "biometric data changed" as one app tells me.
Any ideas? Has any one had such issue? How to fix this?
P.S., i Have tried ro disable xposed and magisk, nothing helped, only factory reset, but after that, I couldn't identify what caused this issie to come back again.
P.P.S., if I have let's say 2 fingerprints saved, and delete any of them, all appa back to normal until I reboot.

Any idea what might caused it? P.S., previously I have flashed the complete rom except userdata partition, and the issie was still there. Even if I disable all magic modules and xposed as well, the issue remain.
Has anyone faced something like that? Personally, I think some file is being overwritten after reboot and it might cause this issue. That's the only logical explanation I can figure out.
