Hey everyone,
My galaxy s22 Ultra which I preordered last year has been stuck in a bootloop. When it happened I was browsing Facebook and suddenly it restarted and now keeps restarting. I keep seeing the Samsung logo by itself, followed by Samsung galaxy secured by Knox logo.
I tried the freezer method, where I put the phone in the freezer for 20 minutes and it booted for almost 2 hours. was able to get a backup through Smart switch. So I have backup of most things, however I tried to backup my whatsapp chats to Google drive and it stopped at 20% then it got stuck in the bootloop again.
Another day, I was out in a sunny day and had my phone in my car to check it at my local phone store, and surprisingly with the heat of the sun, it worked for about 15 minutes. Was backing up whatsapp and it stopped at 15%
The local stores were not helpful at all, I talked to Samsung care and they said I need to factory reset before they diagnose the problem, which I don't want to do until I backup all my data.
I only want it to temporarily work so I backup whatsapp data, before I try the last resort which is a factory reset.
I have developers option enabled, but bootloader is not unlocked.
Here is what I have tried so far and didn't work:
1- Latest image flashed through oden
2- different key combinations
3- tried restarting from recovery mode after clearing cache and hitting the fix app button
4- also tried restarting from download mode to see if it does anything
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As the topic says, last night I was browsing the internet when my phone froze and a few seconds later began to restart. But upon attempting it wouldn't load past the "Google" splash screen. I tried multiple times before I gave up and went into recovery mode. I wiped the cache and did a factory reset and the same issue persists. Will not turn on. So I've since been directed a couple ways, one was to try and flash the OS using WugFresh (just trying to get stock droid back, nothing flashy). I've since installed ADB drivers on my PC but I never enabled USB debugging and the program can't seem to do anything until I enable it (but the phone doesn't work...). I also can't contact google play about warranty or repairs because I have two step authentication on my account since they keep trying to send a text message to my phone.
Does anyone have any advice on how to progress?
i have a problem my s6 keep restarting without reason , help plz dont know what to do.
i flashed new version but still no change .
everytime the galaxy s6 logo apeers and than restaring and restarting...

Try getting into recovery by holding volume up and home button and power button at the same time, delete cache and then from recovery do a factory reset. Worth a try.

There are like 3 threads on XDA with people with the same problem. Nobody finds a solution yet. I have the same problem too.

I have an ATT S6 Edge 128.
Got first on May 27 and I replaced five days after since, under my opinion was malfunctioning (many restarts without a reason). So far I have replaced 3 (THREE) already... All of them with same experience. I tried them on SAFE MODE and still restarting randomly.
I cleared cache partition, did so many factory restets.... nothing!
On first try:
1. I have installed all apps from my google back up (same ones I was running on my S5)
2. I also had copied my camera folder, whatsapp folder from my previous S5 (I did a S5 back up on my PC and from my PC copied it to my new S6), then I restored a WhatsApp back up on my S6.
3. I restored all my sms using SMS Backup and Restore
On 2nd try:
1. Delete cache partition and did a factory reset
2. I did not install all apps, only WhatsApp, Nine (mail exchange app)
3. I did not transfer my camera folder from my previous S5
4. I did not restored my sms
On both scenarios I have the same issue.
I tried disable Samsung Push and did not work neither.
One thing that it might be important to consider: I use MS Office and I organize my Outlook in many folders (150 folders). With S5 I was using Touchdown first and ended using Nine. In order to get all mails on my phone I have to synchronize all 150 folders.
It shouldn't be a problem but I think that it might be an overflow synchronizing these 150 folders, plus my gmail account, two Hotmail accounts, facebook, etc.
All Apps installed are from Google Play
Any clue??
Hi
In the last month my S6 restarts or freezes randomly.
I tried clearing the system cache through recovery and some apps cache.
removed all unnecessary apps and reset configuration to the very basic.
It happens randomly and there is days where it would work perfectly.
when it does begin with the restarting and freezing loop, I notice that it gets hot, not extremely hot but noticeably.
(when its getting stuck its not that the phone is hot, but after it gets into these restart loops it does get hot)
Besides factory reset I've done everything, I am trying to avoid the factory reset since I can't re-activate WhatsApp after the factory reset since I am in a different country than where my sim card is registered, and don't have SMS/CALL access.
Is there any way to diagnose whats going on? log files? apps to diagnose problems?
any tips for me before I send it in to the lab?
Thanks
T
So I have had my phone for about 4 years. Over the years I have done allot to it. It has been rooted and working fine up until two nights ago when it started randomly rebooting itself. Then it stopped all of a sudden and returned to normal. The next night I was getting ready for work and I turned on my phone as I was leaving the house and it made it to the Samsung logo then after 15 seconds or so tried entering recovery mode. It then failed the bootloader authentication and said I had an unauthorized third party program I stalled that wasn't supported. After many attempts at following the forum suggestions of trying to recover through Odin it finally gave me something. It went to a window that said the partition was currupted and wanted to restore to factory settings. I hit this button and it just hangs there and doesn't even attempt to restore it to factory. The button seems unresponsive.
My main concern is that I lost all my contacts because I already had to go buy a new phone. My question... is there any hope to restore the bootloader to try to get it to boot up normally? I don't care if it is restored to factory settings. I hear there are still ways to recover contacts and deleted data after a factory reset. But my main concern is recovering my contacts which I can't do until my phone is working. Any input?
The phone is fixable. The contacts are probably gone tho. It's always a good idea to store your contacts to google instead of just the device. That way you always have them no matter what phone/device you are using.

If you had your google account there and sync was on so probably all your contacts are saved at google account.
Login with your google account and try opening this link and see https://www.google.com/contacts/u/0/

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, which I bought 6 months ago unlocked(new) and using T-mobile sim. For the past few weeks, I am having issue with the phone getting restarted too often and usually hanging on the Samung logo.
First this happened when not using Wifi and using mobile data plan. I came to the conclusion on that because it happens whenever I try to open a webpage or internet using app on mobile data. But when on a Wifi network, it doens't restart. After going through some forums, I did clear cache initially and later to a point to do a factory reset.
But the issue has not yet gone. This week, the restart is too often. I don't have any other app installed on the phone other than Whatsapp now. Last day, the restart happen when trying to send a video through that app (photo's send fine)and it keeps restarting.
Yesterday. I tried to download a anti-virus software and cleanup software(good one with trusted ) and when trying to open it, again got restarted. Now I think its something related to memory issue. Maybe that's why it restarted when sending video, as it has to compress the video before sending.
Has anyone faced this issue?
Is there a fix for this?
What can I do to make sure, it doesn't happen again?
Hi there and welcome to Assist,
That antivirus does nothing on your device, only consume more power.
Try to re-flash stock firmware and see if restarting is stoped.
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.
