Hi there Aditya, I am a new user for the PE 13 for davinci. I installed it couple of days back on my k20 and been a fan since. Why it's so smooth and responsive?! I dity flashed it on top of latest miui fastboot rom. Which was a long process coming from Lineage OS 17.1 Android 10. Had a bootloop straight to fastboot mode, thought I soft bricked. The new experience is totally awesome and was worth the effort. Thanks my man!
I found a couple of minor bugs, if you want you can add them to your list and rectify when you're free.
1) when I get a chat notification banner (eg. WhatsApp message) from someone and I start replying and typing directly on the banner, and if there comes another message from the same chat/person while I am typing, then the keyboard and banner both shuts-off/closes/disappear.
2) In the Settings > System > Buttons > edge long swipe action, There is no option for "App split"

good job! the system is very fast and the battery lasts a long time

Can i jump from PixelExperience to PixelExperience Plus without factory reset?

The first one I cannot reproduce still i'll look into it, 2nd ones isnt a bug actually, but i'll ask the source devs to add that feature.

latest update is lagging to much. App opening/scrolling/sliding/. Please look into it too. Also another issue is that some apps like flight booking/myjio-rechage app and Google pay app, after payment/ticket confirmation, the confirmation screen flashes rapidly (everytime during payment in gpay). Did anyone reading the forum face the issue? Confirm please.

Can I dirty flash this from
Pixel Experience 10 Build number: QQ2a.200405.005
PixelExperience_davinci-10.0.-20200409-12-OFFICIAL. ?
Or what would be the best route to flash this ROM in my case?

If I am not mistaken, the firmware is different. So you may want to install MIUI 12 latest updated rom with the latest firmware or another similar custom rom with the latest firmware that was derived from latest MIUI for davinci. Then dirty flash PE 13 it on top of that.
i had Lineage OS 17 (Android 10). So I installed MIUI Fastboot rom first, using MIUI flash tool and then dirty flashed the latest PE13 plus update

Sorry if stupid question, but can double tap to sleep be added so it works from home screen also and not only status bar?
Otherwise, great ROM, everything working so far.

Clean flash from ArrowOS, when unlock pattern is set to 4x4, it's still visible on lock screen, even if I later set it to 3x3, but the unlock points seems to be matching 3x3 pattern. Please take a look at this.

PS: couple of more things.
1) there is no pocket mode in ambient display settings (So that screen doesn't respond to touch while in a pocket). There is a "pocket" gesture to pulse notification after removing from the pocket. Screen accidentally responds to touches while inside pocket
2) this is a bug: when watching a video on youtube/VLC (more often on vlc) when I want to exit the player, the swipe to go back doesn't work. I have to open recent to clear the app.
3) the payment screen rapid flash glitch thing only happens when the payment app is re-directed from another app (for eg. a ticket booking app or food ordering app). The payment processing screen doesn't flash when I pay by opening the payment app.
4)bug: You can't touch 1 cm under the volume control floater/slider panel after changing volume level or just after opening the slider panel
5)Switching the hotspot on and off from lock screen dropdown notification bar isn't possible without unlocking the screen first. Is there any way to do so without unlocking the phone?

Thanks for your great porting rom.
I have some questions about how to boot with my compiled kernel form pe's offical kernel repository
I Got the mi 9t's kernel source form this repo:
This KERNEL REPO : https://github.com/PixelExperience-Devices/kernel_xiaomi_sm6150 .
kerenl build is successful, and got the Image and Image.gz kernel file.
Then run this command:
fastboot boot Image.gz
it report job is ok.
But the device cann't to be boot, just show black screen.
I compare the kernel (extract from official rom's boot.img) with my compiled kernel file(Image.gz)
File's size is same,
This is the kernel file from your pe offical rom
$ ls -lth kernel
-rw-r--r-- 1 kali kali 18M Apr 22 14:33 kernel
And this is the my comstom compied kernel file form the pe's office device_kenel repository :
ls -lth Image.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 kali kali 18M Apr 22 14:28 Image.gz
But file format is diffrent:
This is the offical kernel format info in the boot.img

Aaaaaaaand when I was browsing through le 2 roms thinking about having a look at something I haven't tried before there you appeared! Might as well become a betatester Cheers!
Second Q Rom to be released for the s2 after arrow OS! This rom is much more stable than Arrow Os Q Rom . I'd say Android Q is actually giving a better battery life than Pie but a lot of apps are still broken as they don't support Android Q properly yet. Anyways, great job @nullbytepl . Keep up the good work!
I'd really love if someone could port Evolution X, Havoc, Revenge Os and lineage Q ROMs too!
Anyways I'll link to the arrow Q Rom if anyone is interested :
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a2JMg96cQuantQqsM0qPmnoW0UqJPcNt/view
Screenshots??
It's nice to see that Le2 still have devs attention!
But this rom still can't be used, it freezes and reboot too many times.
New Update is up!

Thank you for this awesome Project.
Yes Lockscreen is broken and i can't unlock IT. I don't use Lockscreen.
Next is magisk Module Gesture. When i flash it and reboot, the Launcher or Something is broken.
But everything is fine, the battery is great.
PS: i can't Control the Hardware Keys in Setup, for Off or on or Hardware key Background light or Something.
Thank you
For some reasons the contacts app keeps on crashing.
I have cleared the davlik cache, contact and phone app cache and user data too.
Any other suggestions to fix the issue?
------------
Fixed
Had to do a factory reset from twrp and reinstall again.

Lockscreen works fine for me..
Call over bluetooth is broken, cannot hear sound on bluetooth headphone or speakers. Mic seems to be working.
Whatsapp voice calls comes over phone speaker even though it shows bluetooth connection. So sound doesnt go to bluetooth headphones over whatsapp too.
Music over bluetooth works. This looks like to be a common problem with many devices using Android 10. @nullbytepl can you look into the issue.
Let me know if you need specific logs.
Rest it's been stable from last 24hrs.

You can use gesture enabler magisk module for that for now. Its linked in the post
Wow..wow..wow..welcome android 10.. thanx @nullbytepi for make it happen
ok so i installed (not clear flash - update from pixel experience PIE)
so far so good. i was not able to boot into recovery but managed to flash recovery again
- when im in magisk manager sometimes my phone reboots and not load correctly - have to reboot it manually
- im using adaway to block ads - but had to do it manually as it was not able to get system directory writeable
what is my problem:
i was using fingerprints to unlock my device, but after second boot, screen lock was restarting. so i deleted files from
/data/system/gesture.key
/data/system/cm_gesture.key
/data/system/password.key
/data/system/personalbackuppin.key
/data/system/personalpattern.key
/data/system/locksettings.db
/data/system/locksettings.db-shm/data/system/locksettings.db-wal
but still see 2 fingerprints and can not change lock screen seetings as it is asking for pin, which is not working.
please dont tell me to clear flash. thanks
Well, that's because you dirty flashed the ROM. I had the same issue when moving between 2 different Pie ROMs and you moved from Pie to 10.

There is slight difference between huge companies with hundreds of people who write code for life and a small team of enthusiasts who develop in their free time. Custom ROMs don't have proper migration tools. The person above is right, you really shouldn't move between custom roms without clean flashing. Clean flash or stop complaining about stuff being broken.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11.0, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

There's an Android Auto opengapps add-on you need to flash after flashing your base gapps. This should fix Android Auto crashes.

FAQ:
1. Can I dirty flash?
A: If you're coming from a different previous firmware, no. Subsequent builds I post after this can be dirty flashed.
2. Root?
A: Flash Magisk.
3. VoLTE sarr?
A: No. Hardware doesn't support it.
4. Can I disable Android GO?
A: Partially, yes. (You can get some animations back, but not all of them.). Just change the properties as shown in disablego.txt (DON'T REMOVE THEM, just find them and change them). This step is completely optional and not recomended.
5. Why can't I see recent thumbnails?
A: They've been disabled in favour of performance.
6. Updates pliss sarr?
A: I'll be updating this every month as long as I have the device and as long as nothing breaks for good. I'm not very well versed when it comes to device trees, so no Lineage 18+. Please don't ask for ETAs.
7. Is the ROM suited for daily usage ?
A : Yes, Looks like all basic daily usage stuff is functional.
8. Double Tap to Wake broken?
A: No, it's disabled since it doesn't work on third party screens, increases battery use and causes false wake ups.

I can't give you the exact numbers, but Lineage is the smoothest among all ROMs due to it being lightweight.

Most unofficial Lineage builds are signed with public keys, this is not a problem and does not pose any threat whatsoever. However, its fixed in the latest build. All newer builds will be signed.

I can't give you the exact numbers, but Lineage is the smoothest among all ROMs due to it being lightweight.

Nice. But this is based on Android GO, am I right? So it must be more smoother. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nope. Extra stuff link is there only because I personally use that and maybe someone else will find it useful. Not at all necessary. They're APK files and zips. Install them as you normally would. Read FAQ.
this os is like okay type of rom nothing special or anything if you wanna see your old lenovo phone got an "andorid 10 tag" then you can put this rom just to fill your fictional satisfaction, but otherwise stay whatever your current os is, it has way less options than what i had it before in my "andoid 9 dotos 3.0" and i am going back to my old os again!
i am using "android 9 dotos 3.0" for almost 1 and half years is very good and stable and got so many option and very userfriendly and beautiful looking!

I see. I've been or RR 5.8.5 Nougat version and I've managed to remove and replace apps like the launcher (using KISS launcher as default). I have also decreased the RAM usage with about 300-400 MB free RAM and it's been running smoothly for the past 2 or 3 years. Great to see there are some people using this phone despite being old.

By any chance, do you have file for latest or a stable magisk? I'm planning to replace mine (Magisk 5.3.0 Version 14.0) because it says "cannot verify safetynet, no internet connection"

You can download ArrowOS Recovery if you like or use other 3rd party recoveries
FAQ::
Tip: If you are new to custom ROMs, I would suggest taking a TWRP backup/partition backup (usually: persist, efs, firmware partitions, etc) saved in your cloud or computer.
Q1: How can I update to a new update?
A1: Flash ArrowOS recovery and download and install the update from the OTA Updater application OR Download from arrowos.net [codename: vayu] boot to TWRP and flash it; if you are using ArrowOS recovery, copy build zip to external storage (sdcard, USB otg etc) and install via "Apply system update option"
If you are on PC, you can also use adb sideload while being on recovery
Q2: Why is Mi8 (dipper)/walleye oreo or any other device's build fingerprint and desc props/values are used?
A2: As most of the custom ROM users might be aware that SafetyNet cannot pass with devices own build fingerprint props due to the multiple checks or other aspects which is unknown, done by the OEM/Google which fails hence nowadays devices are generally spoofed with build fingerprint and description props of devices which passes CTS/SafetyNet like from a device with Android Oreo or Pre Android Oreo (walleye oreo; mi8 oreo, etc) or from latest Pixels (like redfin)
This device as of now uses Mi8 (dipper) build fingerprint and description to pass SafetyNet!
(In future release: It can change to Pixels or some other device too just to "Pass SafetyNet checks") hence don't consider this as some lame reason to spam or message about.
Q3: Facing ghost touch issues on your device?
A3: This issue has been recognized by Xiaomi as a fault in their MIUI firmware, I am not yet sure if this is completely a hardware fault or just a firmware fault with specific variants
I have an Indian 8/128 variant and I never faced such issues.
Since Xiaomi does not release newer changes done to the kernel source, we are stuck with the initial R source release hence we don't know what changes they made to fix it on MIUI if they ever did
But, some people have fixed ghost touch issues by :
* Flashing MIUI 12.0.4.0/12.0.6.0 full MIUI rom, booting to it, setup up everything (like registering the fingerprint, etc), and then moving to custom ROMs.
[* Using 120hz? (not confirm but 2 users have suggested doing this has solved sluggish touch issues for them)]
If this method works for you do not update firmware unless you are sure that will work
This is not a global issue, only a limited number of people face it!
Also, users have faced ghost touch issues on MIUI 12.5.3.0+ versions aswell, so this is not something custom from related! It is hardware/firmware level
Do not report bugs with mods or custom kernels.

Thank You So much man for providing this Rom. Please include Miui or Oneplus camera in your Rom. Because Oneplus Camera is just Love . Now we have same ISP and 48mp camera which is on Oneplus. So having a Oneplus port on Poco X3 Pro would be charm
Thanks for the rom buddy

I understand
This isn't LineageOS but I'll take any AOSP rom over this MIUI crap. Thanks... I'm really just tired of my OnePlus 7T which crapped on me after the Android 11 OTA update, and I'm ready to just make my X3 Pro my daily driver.
Hi, does this rom have call recoder like miui (auto record all call without alert sound).

I doubt it since it's an AOSP clean ROM. You'll have to install it after you flash the ROM or find another call recorder app.

Call recording is there for country's which do not ban/disallow it, and auto call recording won't be added to comply legal restrictions

I just flashed the Gapps version ROM; I thought the boot animation was cute, and I'm relieved that you included 2-button gestures, oh how I've longed for that feature since switching to my OnePlus 7T. A minimalistic clean AOSP experience w/o all the clutter that MIUI perpetuates ... One question: will this ROM present me w/ a notification once a new update is available sort of like how LineageOS does it?
... Time to sell my OnePlus 7T

nowadays arrowos is always the first to come on a new xiaomeme phone lol
thanks for your work
Thanks for this amazing rom!
Did all the steps, but my phone stops at the Arrow logo. Did a factory reset, installed again.. nothing.

If you've recently purchased a Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro, but were on the fence about using it until an AOSP ROM became available then you're in luck. Kudos to @kubersharma for his contribution by providing us the first official AOSP release, ArrowOS...

Fixes/Changes done for next build/update:
- Yellow tint on screen
- Lowers vibration intensity to a decent level
- Force volume steps to 25 as some MIUI vendors are forcing this to insane 150 volume steps, yikes.
- Fix Recents Overview sluggishness
- Ship GCamGoPrebuilt instead of AOSP camera2
- Other minor improvements and fixes.
How to make complete backup Android system before flashing?

Anybody else getting any crackling/sound distortion during audio playback? For me, it occurs across every app I use that emits audio, even when callers are on speakerphone. However, this doesn't happen while listening to phone calls w/ my phone to my ear.
So I realized there was an update (dated for 04/26/2021) that popped up this morning on my device and after flashing the "compatible recovery" (vayu ArrowOS Recovery) in fastboot mode and rebooting my device to let the update automatically install, that in itself seems to have resolved my issue. Hopefully this helps out anyone who's experiencing a similar situation.
---Edit---
So after some further research, I was able to pinpoint that the app known as Boldbeast which I use to record my phone calls was the culprit. Installing their "CallRecordingFix" module by way of Magisk was what caused the unintended result that produced the crackling/sound distortion audio playback through my speakers, and come to find out I never needed to install it in the first place .
First of all, thanks for the ROM.
And i have a query that is if you can provide the device, vendor and kernel trees links too.

Thank you for your work. It seems many of us LOS-faithfuls will have to switch to your ROM for our device after it lost official LOS.
Can't wait to jump from Android 11 (LOS18.1) to Android 13 (Pixel Experience). Which kernel version will your PE-for-A2 ROM have, by the way?
