You have to manually set the assistant app under the default apps part of the apps section of the settings. Took me a bit to figure that out.

Some Pixel exclusive features like Now Playing or Live Captions require a device personalisation services priv-app that is only installed with micro opengapps or larger. You may have to wait until fixed gapps packages are provided by OpenGapps.

There's an Android Auto opengapps add-on you need to flash after flashing your base gapps. This should fix Android Auto crashes.

Resolved

Is there any way to 2d facelock? (EVT)

LineageOS for Nokia 7.1
About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free and open-source operating system for set-top boxes, smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. It is the successor to the custom ROM CyanogenMod, from which it was forked in December 2016 when Cyanogen Inc. announced it was discontinuing development and shut down the infrastructure behind the project. Since Cyanogen Inc. retained the rights to the Cyanogen name, the project rebranded its fork as LineageOS.
LineageOS was officially launched on December 24, 2016, with the source code available on GitHub. Since that time, LineageOS development builds now cover more than 185 phone models with over 1.9 million active installs,having doubled its user base in the month February–March 2017 And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Hm.. intresting
Main reason behind the bugs is
Recently Nokia 7.1 Snapdragon 636 handset received Android Q update named with 4.08B & i used the vendor from that . So my job is only system & boot so blame Nokia to fix that mic bug which is related to vendor.img
Hi, this looks great! I haven't used a custom rim for a while, mostly as I was looking for something more stable and with the best possible camera quality. However, I'm struggling with stability of the stock rom after android 10 update.
Is camera quality in lineage the same as stock rom?
Is this stable enough to be day to day phone?
Is this unrooted by default? Or easy to unroot? Worried about app compatibility.
Thanks for your help and development!
Works great, only no bluetooth audio
Just flashed the latest version to my 7.1.
First try many things didn't work (wifi, sim, etc.). I think this was connected to twrp not installing correctly or something. After installing again, it works great.
Screenshot on imgur /dAiYMl0 (i can't post links)
One (I think) bug: bluetooth audio doesn't seem to work. The device connects, but there's no sound. Tried with different headphones.
One other issue: wired headphones don't seem to work for calls. They do work for music etc.
Changelog - 25-01-2020
Note - clean flash recommended
* January security patch
* Disabled force encryption
* Compiled using legacy
* Linux version 4.4.194 ( Black caps edition ) based on Official stock kernel sources 4.10C & compiled using clang 9.0.3
* Fixed mic bug during calls via headphones
* Comes with 410C vendor.img
* Added OTA Support
@Raghu varma awesome work, thank you! Shame the bootloader unlock procedure is not yet straight-forward enough so more people can enjoy it.
NFC issue
Hello, everything looks good, but NFC is not working on my Nokia 7.1 device anymore. Is there any way on how to resurrect it?

Hey Google works for me on this rom.
After a few hours of using, starting to get frequent random reboots and system UI crashes.
Updated to latest crDroid version.
Hey Schumi_wk, thank you very much for the great rom.
The Rom ist very stable, smooth and Battery friendly!
No reboots oder UI crashes.
So if the rom is functionaly perfect, I'd nag about UI:
on initial install the status bar icons are aligned incorrectly,they go behind the curved corners, I fixed it with crDroid settings, but can't it be there by default?
Thanks for the great rom!
Many thanks to Schumi_wk for the awesome work.
Could anyone recommend a camera app that works on this rom and can use the telephoto lens? All the Gcam versions I've tried are crashing when switching to tele, and ANX camera just zooms digitally when I hit the 2x toggle.
Thanks in advance.
Fantastic ROM, thanks. Everything really stable so far. No slider but can live without.
Install this gcam and your slider will work.

Best rom imo at the moment (except maybe Evolution but that is no longer supported). 6.8 seems to working smoothly (same as my experience with 6.7)

I'm guessing cts Profile will no longer pass with Magisk, the latest security updates switch to hardware assertion and break it. GPay fixes rely on cts Profile so probably not. Would be good to know from someone who tries it. Also good to know if it can pass without rooting.
Update: some few lags and bugs here and there with 6.8. I think 6.7 might be more stable but I had limited experience (<7days) with 6.7. I didn't factory reset though so maybe that's a cause.
Will try downgrade to 6.7 and see if it's smoother for me and I'll update in a week or so time
Also for safetynet, I've found that I haven't got it to pass the check on magisk but apps that check for root seem to be working fine when I use this patch (found from AOSIP thread @Jaitsu): https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83028387&postcount=40658
Also remember to turn on magisk hide and check the app you want to hide from root. I also used the fingerprint magisk module that is used in basically every youtube video that tries to resolve this issue.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

Many many thanks for your work friend, and for the explanations and screenshots.
I feel motivated to go, to the next step. Ehehehe.
Thanx very much for your efforts!! I have a question regarding the NikGapps: Which files do I have to download if I only want to have core functions, comparable with the pico package of Open Gapps?

Just core... This is minimal nikgapps package.
But if you would like to use Android auto you have to install that addon as well.
Thank you Ceracz. Any possibility to be official with OTA support?

Battery is good!
With MIUI, battery with 2 years need to be charged every day, with this rom i installed Magisk, universal GMS Doze and greenify and i have 40% battery left, with same usage and i am on second day of usage.
In addition, this rom is more fluid and faster, and bloatware free.
I found a terrible bug:
Call dialer is not working properly, i had to replace it by google call dialer app.
If i try to call someone, i only hear the ringing, i can´t see anything and no way to turn off the call.
Besides that, it´s working flawless i think!
If Im installing the linage os freshly from stock MIUI, I just need to wipe the system and then install the Linage os package? Awesome work, I am glad to see this phone still supported

You need to follow the steps mentioned above...
First step, is unlocking the bootloader, then you need to flash the compatible TWRP in fastboot, and then follow the steps, exactly as described above and you will be fine.

No. I'll be keeping it stock for stability. You can install whatever you like after installing the ROM. I prefer GCam anyway.

Okay thanks! Last one , can we have this in the future builds ? This is from the cdroid for poco x3 pro, some apps like wild rift forcing the 90hz refresh rate even with the auto refresh rate setting (60-90hz enabled) resulting a choppy performance in games .
Nice rom. Very good
i found a problem with this rom, dont search network operators, only automatic, Can someone help me?

All major functions seem to be working well, thanks so much! FOD is working for me. Haptic strength adjustment doesn't seem to do anything though, it just reverts back to strong if I change it to anything else.
I partly take back what I said; FOD mostly works, but every so often it seems to not register/unlock and I have to use PIN. But I also had that issue with CrDroid 7 (A11).
Hi all. Does this ROM pass safetynet by default? If not, is it compatible with ih8sn? Cheers!
does anyone know why hey google keeps disabling itself? i tried nikgapps and mindthegapps and flashed them over and over again but could get it to work its driving me insane pls help
