Ok, bought a device that had a "global" rom flashed to it.
I wanted 5g, so I attempted to reflash China rom using XiaoMiTool V2
I am getting an error saying it cant flash super portion of the rom.
Please a little help... im stuck
Try downloading the very first original China fastboot version made for the Fold 2. Enter fastboot again, then run the bat file flash_all_lock.

Hello friends,
i wanted to update my twrp from the very first on to the latest 3.3. I did this in the recovery itself. after i could not boot into twrp anymore. Neither through Updater app, nor through Button Combo.
It all sent me to bootloader. So i tried flashing the twrp img through fastboot.
First: always in cmd fastboot flash recovery twrp.img; but result was that cmd gave no answer at all or failure
Second: i tried fastboot boot twrp.img.; Result was a successful flash, but no boot into recovery afterwards
AND AFTER THAT I cant boot into system anmyore
Edit:
on another pc I got Miflash running and installed latest global rom. Now im stuck till mi recovery. Phone is still unlocked
Edit2:
Got TWRP installed and after newest xiaomi eu rom. Still lost all my data, because everything was still encrypted..
I tried to search regarding this issue but couldn't find a solution so I am posting this issue in hopes that someone can guide me to a solution.
I wanted to install pixel experience on my Redmi Note 7 Pro. My phone was successfully unlocked by myself and no issues were faced. First I tried to install Peter's TWRP but then can't go the recovery instead every time I was booted to fastboot menu. I then tried to just restart by holding the power button to boot straight to OS but instead I was again back to the fastboot menu.
I then downloaded the latest global ROM "violet_in_global_images_V11.0.5.0.PFHINXM_20191022.0000.00_9.0_in_9bff00d97f" for flashing using xiaomi flash tool and faced many errors but resolving one by one and then finally ROM was flashed but it only took 1 sec to complete and nothing happened on the phone. Then I searched around a bit more and tried to use CMD to flash "flash_all.bat" directly and got the error "Current Device Anti Rollback is greater than this Pkg". What I don't understand is that if I am using the latest global firmware then how the current device has a higher arb no. ?
I hope that I am able to explain the situation for other's to understand.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try the command "fastboot oem edl" in cmd of adb folder when device is in fastboot mode. Ur phone should go black but dont panic. Now open miflash tool and u see ur device is connected in edl mode as COMX ( X may be anything 10 or 20 like that). Now try to flash the lattest fastboot rom for over device. Remember to check the option in mi flash tool to not lock bl again. But this will wipe all your data.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my query. I did what you suggested and got into EDL mode. Xiaomi Mi Flash picked up the device as COM10 but when I tried to flash it shows "sahara read end error with status:40" and nothing happens.
Any further idea?

I suggest you use the older variant of the MiFlash tool.
How did you flash Peter's? Did you use "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"? That's the only right command.
Also are you sure you have the Indian variant of the phone? Another way to bypass anti roll back would be to clear all partitions, and then flash the required ROM.
Sorry if I'm not able to help you, I'll try having a look later on.
Thank you for your support. I had to go to the service center as no solution could be found.
Wait i know what happen... Ur phone has twrp and rom successfully installed don't worry about that. Just problem is ur phone has again locked the bootloader thats why its not able to boot os because it has twrp not the official recovery. U can verify that u have bootloader locked.. when ur phone starts when there is mi logo there will not be "unlocked" written in bottom.. see... That is very easy. Just try to unlock bootloader again with mi unlock tool.
And ur good to go. I got same errors on my friends redmi 6 pro. Service center will tell u to change motherboard as it cant be fixed with edl mode. JUST TRY TO UNLOCK AGAIN WITH MI UNLOCK TOOL.

Thank you for your feedback but the phone bootloader remained unlocked as when the phone starts there is "unlocked" written in bottom.
I got the phone back from Service Center. It's working fine but strangely still the bootloader is shown as unlocked in the start animation.

yeah I'm to confident using CMD, that more safe & likely work with Mi Tool. ty anyway
I had similiar situation and all I did was I flashed different version of TWRP and it worked.
hello all.
i was trying to root my xiaomi mi a2.
I followed all steps from this site -> https://www.thecustomdroid.com/root-xiaomi-mi-a2-a2-lite-android-pie-magisk
everything done correctly, no error nothing (correct version of boot.img)
only thing i did differently is that i flash that img for cmd not powershell, but it worked fine.
after restarting it tries to load system like 5 mins and then showing message "can't load android system. your data may be corrupted...)
1) try again 2) factory reset. none of them worked. Also bootloader is unlocked.
Now I'm downloading firmware my exact model V11.0.28.0.QDIMIXM.
so can I flash that fresh firmware like showed on that website (fastboot flash boot new_firmware.img) will it work?
And another problem I don't have USB debugging on.
so if this does not going to help me, then what can i do else?
########## UPDATE #######
I managed to flash with new fastboot rom and miflashtool, phone is working without any problem, but i want to still know what did cause this brick ?
hi, I wanted flash a custom rom in my Redmi Note 11 Pro+ which is not the 5g model but I accidently flash an another vendor_boot from a other model and he stuck in Fastboot mode. when I execute the adb devices the phone is not detected by adb but when fastboot devices, the devices is now detected. I tried to flash stock rom but nothing happens.
I had a similar problem last week and I solved it yesterday. Commands did nothing but Xiaomi's flash tool did. :
Go to http://new.c.mi.com/global/miuidownload/detail/guide/1
Click on the fastboot tab
Download the MIUI ROM Flashing Tool (step 1)
Download your ROM (step 2). If you bought your phone in Europe, it's the EEA version. Otherwise I suspect you need the Global one.
Unzip the files into their own folders
Open the MIUI ROM Flashing Tool
Paste the path of your ROM folder in the tool
Click refresh
Click flash
It will then take about 12 minutes to flash
