Copy text within a message - General Questions and Answers

I installed textra hoping it had this feature. Does ANY messaging app allow you to select & copy selected words (e.g an address or phone number) from within a received message? Haven't found any that allow this. Thanks

Selecting, copying and pasting by touching the screen is not dependent on the app, but on the android that came with the device.
I don't know how to handle such apps on Android TV, because I don't use it, but I suppose it should work when you press the mouse button or select text for a long time.

Android has a Clipboard functionality ( copy & paste ) implemented. Use GBoard to deal with it.

[Q] Pop up Menu Window Size

Hi, is it possible to adjust or modify the Pop up Menu Windows Size? I currently have total of 6 templates on Messaging/SMS, most of them are too long and each are containing information that I'm planning to send every day via SMS.
Lets say every template has 30 to 100 characters, and when I'm trying to "Insert template" on the "Compose" field on the SMS, I'm getting FC on the Messaging app, maybe the app can't handle the massive character count on my templates.
I have tried the Gesture Trace feature for the Templates, it's working but it's not that accurate, sometimes it would mess up the composition field that it would insert 2 or 3 templates with one gesture that i make.
Right now, the method that I'm using is using a Notepad app, that i would just edit it and - select all text - and copy, that does the job. I really can't use of its features to share or send it via SMS because of the nature that most of the time, i need to send those info via reply to an anonymous number (not saved on my contacts).
So is it possible to adjust the pop up menu window on the compose field so that when i choose "Insert Template" it would display all of my templates? I'm thinking that those long templates are the cause of the Messaging FC.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I'm currently using Android NAND on HD2 (Gingerbread Hyperdroid CM7)
and by the way, leaving only 1 template gives me no FCs anymore... anyone?
Got what i wanted thru GoSMS, but would love to know if there is a workaround for the native SMS app. TIA!

Asus email app - select text?

Is there no way to do this? Often I want to select text from one email to copy into another, or want to significantly edit a forwarded email thread. I tap away an nothing comes up to allow me to select text - unlike with documents.
IGNORE - found it, but it is cranky

How to Copy and Paste Multiple Messages in Whatsapp

How to Copy and Paste Multiple Messages in Whatsapp
Whatsapp allows you to copy a single message by long pressing it, But occasionally we need to copy part of a conversation, which is not supported by Whatsapp. Here is a way to do this. Hope it comes handy.
Requirements:
Whatsapp application.
Jota Text Editor application (available in Play market).
Method:
Open the conversation to copy messages from in Whatsapp.
Press menu button and select "More" then "Email conversation" then select "Without media" then select any of the Email applications shown, for example "Gmail" but don’t send any message just cancel.
Open the Jota Text Editor application.
Press menu button and select "File" and "Open" then select the "Whatsapp" folder, then "Media" folder, then ".Shared" folder. You will see the name of the conversation you asked to Email earlier. Open it.
You will see all the messages of the conversation and you can copy multiple messages from here.
Notes:
We used "Jota Text Editor" application, but you can use any text editor or file explorer that can open a TXT file.
This method is for Android system, but can be used for other systems with minor modifications.
Use a file explorer to dispose accumulated TXT conversations in the ".Shared" folder. This folder is hidden but file explorers has an option to show hidden folders and files.

[Q] Is there an Android email client that allows quick moving of items to a folder?

I'm using the inbox zero scheme, which requires me to be able to quickly move inbox items into a "to do" folder or an archive folder. Unfortunately, this requires multiple clicks with the native Android email client.
I'm looking for a client which allows using simple gestures (e.g. swiping a message left or right) in order to move a message to a predefined folder. Also a designated button inside a message window will do. Oh, and it has to support Exchange.
The many clients I tested only allow deletion by swiping.
Any suggestions will be welcomed.

[APP][2.3+]SMS Hider-hides & stores messages privately even marketing type

Hi! I am new to android and its my first app.
SMS Hider:com.tech9pedia.dontbother
playdotgoogledotcom/store/apps/details?id=comdottech9pediadotdontbother
SMS Hider is an app which hides SMS from numbers selected by you and stores them separately. It also works for those numbers which are used to send promotional messages. The best thing is that when you select any number to hide SMS then you don’t even receive the notification when the SMS is received by your device. It means complete peace of mind for you and whenever you feel like reading them, you simply need to open the app.
And to prevent the SMS Hider app from intruders, it comes with a fully working Audio Manager as the disguise screen. You can use the Audio Manager to manage audio levels of your Android device. In case, if any one gets successful in bypassing the screen (keep Pressing the audio manager text for few secs) then he/she will still need to enter PIN before he/she can see the hidden messages.
Main Features of SMS Hider:
• Choose any phone number including promotional messages number to hide. You won’t even get notification when you will receive SMS from any of the selected numbers.
• Access all hidden texts from the SMS Hider app via an easy to use interface.
• Add number by typing it either manually or import from your device’s phonebook.
• PIN protect app with PIN of your choice along with fully working Audio Manager as the disguise screen. No restrictions over choice of length for adding PIN although we aren’t responsible if you choose an easy to crack PIN
• Filter hidden SMS by date or sender’s name.
• Reply to SMS, forward SMS, Share it with others and copy to clipboard.
• Muti-select option to delete hidden SMS and Sort SMS by time.
The app is still in BETA phase so you might face a few small problems.
If you have any more features in mind which you would like to see in the app then share them via comments.
PS: Its compatible only up to android 4.3 or earlier version. If anyone knows how it could be made compatible with kitkat & higher version, the help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for using the app.
