Question Emergency SOS for non Samsumg mobiles - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Is there any workaround to use the SOS feature of the GW4 on non-Samsung mobiles?

That feature is part of the Samsung hardware/firmware. I disabled it with prejudice.

[Help Required] Proximity Speakerphone

I normally use a Macro in Macrodroid to activate Speakerphone when I am on call and phone is away from my ear. This help me do multitasking, easy way. I can manually activate and deactivate Speakerphone, but it slows down my regular working while on phone.
However, this is not working in Oneplus 6. I also tried Tasker profile, but it is not working as well. Does anyone have any idea how this will work on Oxygen OS? I looked in to Oneplus Forums and can see many users facing this issue with earlier OP devices as well.
P.S. I tried Auto Speaker app from play store and it did not work as well.
I do believe this may be achieved by Gravity Box, but I am not inclined to install Xposed as of now.
Update: some people on OP forum said that problem could be dialer. So I installed Google Dialer as default but It did not work as well.

Why not have speakerphone on always, but deactivate it when the phone is near your ear?

Same principal is used in the macro, profile and app. It's not working.
That's Automation.
Any help?
Still haven't found a solution for this either.

I'm looking for this feature too... In resurrection remix 7.1.2 on nexus 6 the dialer has the option to activate the loudspeaker with proximity sensor, you could even set the reacting time. This feature is present even on pure nexus 6.0.1 but it's no more present since Oreo. Don't know why . Every option o app or trick I tried to emulate this feature is not working as good as the integrated one . We should try to dump the phone app , it's almost a replica of the Google one . I really miss this feature, because when I work on smartphone repair over a microscope, I could answer with my android wear and my smartphone over the desktop answer the call in loudspeaker mode

No video calling on phone app ?

Just noticed that there's no option to video chat on the stock phone app and that's weird since all of my other phones I had in the past had that option . I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed this
@xdamember143
I don't know which OP7P you're using but, I'm the TMO model and I have Video Calls (check screen shot), and DOES work... I video chat with my Girl.
I have the 6T and 7 Pro both unlocked version and never seen a video call button on stock phone app.

That's weird , I also have both 6T & 7P (Branded TMo), both have Video Call in the phone app....
Should pop up next to the call as soon you tap the dialer as you can see in my screenshot....

Never even noticed it before but low and behold it shows above the dialer.
I don't have it. Weird
Depends on your carrier. Otherwise you should have duo shortcuts if that is installed

Screen Off Gestures

Has anyone else on had issues with the screen off gestures like the V shape for flashlight not work all the time? Or the double tap to wake just refusing to working sometimes? Have this on the 7 Pro and had this on the 6T before this phone. Weird.
OOS of course

The problem I have with the gestures I've noticed is that they don't work if Ambient Display is triggered. The screen has to be completely off for them to work for me. I don't know if it's a bug or a feature but it's pretty annoying. I didn't have this problem when I had my 6T at all, or if I did, I didn't notice it much before I got rid of it.

Yeah I've always had issues with the gestures working when they feel like it. Both on my 6T and now on my 7 Pro! I always liked the V gesture to turn on flashlight, but it's so finicky that I'm using Renovate Ice mainly for the power button torch. (And secure app screenshots, but that's unrelated for this thread lol)

They only work when you don't want them to it feels like. Half the time I pull my phone out of my pocket and my flashlight is on or my Galaxy Watch is disconnected cause I turn off Bluetooth due to taps while my phone is in my pocket. Agreed on the Power Button Torch and Secure Screenshots in Renovate Ice though. ??

Pocket unlock

Had anyone experienced their device being unlocked while in their pocket. Mine had several times, even some quick toggles have been changed from where I had them set. Apps opened, not just opened but digging into multiple button presses. Even today mi wife says I called her twice while phone in pocket. I use fingerprint security with pin backup and somehow phone is bypassing both of theses in my pocket. I've tried numerous times to replicate out of my pocket with no avail. I'm on stock TMobile no mods or rooted.

It happened many times for me.. you might be having Smart Lock enabled... even then, proximity sensor on OnePlus 7 Pro isn't good.. but disabling smart Lock should fix your issue
Yeah I checked and smart Lock has always been off
I encountered the same issue today

Weird. Do you have fingerprint lock enabled?
Yes I do. From what I can find on the web previous OnePlus devices had a Pocket Mode which is not present on the 7 pro. But viewing T-Mobiles website under settings list it shows it is in the utilities section under settings. But not on my phone. I even searched for it with the search option at the top of settings menu.
I've also noticed that in settings under utilities there is a section called app locker, when I click on it, it asks for pin and then just resorts back to the utilities menu giving me no option to add apps to list. It does nothing.

What Pocket Mode did (I had it on my 3T) was ignore screen touches, if the proximity sensor sensed an object nearby (assuming it was your pocket).
Even without Pocket Mode, a press on the screen, or movement of the gyro should only turn on the "ambient display" screen. You can't do anything from that screen except scan your fingerprint (which you confirmed you have fingerprint security enabled). So I'm puzzled how the butt dials or other things occurred in your pocket.
I suppose it's possible the power button is being accidentally pressed in your pants. Which brings up the lock screen - slightly different from the ambient display screen, as it gives access to the quick toggles, camera and voice assist. But it would seem like a strange combination of accidental power button pressing and screen touches happening in your pants, to make the things you mentioned happen. TWSS
Also the fingerprint is disabled whenever I take my phone out of pocket,It says too many attempts
Yes I also get that message

Got this very message this evening along with flight mode being activated. Pocket mode badly needs to be reintroduced by OnePlus
Can anyone who has converted to international firmware confirm that pocket mode is or is not present in the settings under utilities?

Not to be found :good:
I've had the same issue, but temporarily solved or at least appears to have by turning off lift to wake
Never had lift to wake on as I assumed it would cause issues like this
Hey Guys what screen mode Do You use,I used Nature mode but it's on a warmer side & can't adjust sliders. Can I change through a custom kernel?
If you just look in the settings there is custom mode under natural that allows adjustment. Stock room stock kernel.

How to set GCam as standard?

Hello,
i tried to set GCam as standard, but I failed. I cannot change it to standard even if I disable the stock one. GCam not showing up in Default Apps -> Camera. After disabling the stock cam it just cannot open camera from lockscreen, so it doesn't recognize GCam as "true" App.
Any advice from your site?
The way I did it is I enabled the double tap power button to launch camera gesture, then the phone offered me to choose a camera app and use it as default.

And which phone do you have? I got a pocophone f2 pro and enabling doubling tapping the on off button to open the camera isn't working for me. There is still the problem, that gcam don't show up on the standard camera option
