QFIL "ERROR: the opreation is not allowed for write..." - General Questions and Answers

when trying to flash STOCK rom for my hard bricked Vivo Nex 3s in EDL mode, I get that error.
I even put the firmware folder into the same one as QFIL, but to no avail.
I'm using rawprogram_unsparse0.xml and patch0.xml.
The bootloader is locked and I hadn't enabled developer options...
the firmware file doesnt have rawprogram0.xml, so I'm using the one I mentioned.
My phone is stuck in bootloop, because I accidentaly downgraded my phone, and now its stuck at saying "updating", and constantly reboots.
PLEASE SEE LOG IN ATTACHMENT!!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe the issue is that the bootloader is locked and my developer options are disabled ? Can I still flash roms of those things are locked?

could you give me the error log?

Sure. Here it is:

EDL mode doesn't care about bootloader is locked or developer options. it's just a matter of correct firehose programmer.

Chances are slim then. Try holding power button for about 10 seconds to make it turn off, then press power+volume down and hold it for a few seconds. Also try power+volume up button combo, I don't know if it would open something or not but you can try.

Unfortunately on this device, if you can't get to the bootloader and access fastboot, you are pretty much screwed. There is no download or emergency recovery mode I am aware of, so if you overwrote the bootloader you probably need to send it to Moto for reflashing/replacement or send it to a JTAG programming service.
please

I'm not sure what your asking for... Never heard of raw program for this device, the only thing available is the fastboot images for each partition.
Can you provide a link to the software your talking about?

Ahhh... OK. To my knowledge there are no directly compatible images for QPST for the Moto G 3rd gen.
On the good side, according to this article, QPST flashes seem to use dd images of partitions, and the factory images available from Moto contain those img files!
If you find a flashable file for XXX device that works with QPST and compare it with the Moto factory images, you may be able to find a working solution... or at least enough to get the bootloader working. If you can get the bootloader to load, you can fastboot flash the rest of it.
EDIT: BTW, if I can be of assistance, let me know. I have a working, stock XT1540 with an unlocked bootloader that is not a daily driver phone, so I can play with it (although I would REALLY like to not brick it). Also, if you can come up with an unbrick for this device and share it here, I am sure your 9 posts and 1 thanks would jump significantly and quite quickly.

[try][experimental] unlock and re-lock bootloader

Warning: The whole procedure is fully Experimental, this tool can brick your device, I will not responsible if you brick your device, try it with your own risk.
I have not tried the method yet, this tool performs so many function with NOKIA 6 too, but I didn't use the UNLOCK BOOT LOADER option yet, I want a tester who has already unlocked the bootloader and want to re-lock it, try it and give a feedback if it works
I would like to share a tool with you guys, this tool can perform many functions
Note: turn off your antivirus first then proceed
Download the tool from here
https://mega.nz/#!9Up1XJ5a!1nhxdqtIljdItjgPers9qM0ry8d4Dhc8HOX5pJ2mEQI
This tool is patched already so you do not need to crack it or use any BOX for it.
This tool works without box or modem
You only need to see if your PC is up to date and all drivers and frameworks are up to date or not
Now open you tool
REMEMBER: Turn off your Anti virus application before launching the app
Now an UI will appear, select "MIRACLE CRACK 2.27A" from there.
Now connect your device to your PC. Make sure your on DEVELOPER MODE
Then a new UI will appear, select on "ANDROID" Then "HOME ADB"
After that if you want to unlock your BOOTLOADER, reboot your device into download mode then select unclock bootloader from the options
Or RE-LOCK option is also available
Finally click start button
Done
Hit thanks button if you find this useful
happy flashing

Does the Nokia device have exclusive system keys such as Sony (DRM key) devices? Unlocking loses those keys. Can you tell me. And I will test this tool soon.

Do your computer has all driver and framework installed properly?
And do your phone is developer mode on, also make sure in developer mode allow oem unlock option is turned on.
Because my phone is working fine with it, just not ready right now for any brick, damaged, dead cause to device, because this is only the source right now i have.
Try rebooting to fastboot from ADB option on the tool, if it works then it might unlock the bootloader too, check the drivers..
Finger crossed :fingers-crossed:

The ADB system works well, maybe ROOT is.
But fastboot mode does not work. I also try to put the phone on fastboot mode with OST (edit fone information)
But Miracle Box does not work with fastboot of Nokia 6. (Wait for developer update)
You cracked the picture as old version, maybe it Nokia 6 not support )

Is my stock phone bricked?

It's a stock phone, unrooted bootloader locked. The phone was updated to the latest firmware a few days ago and was working well since.
Today I left the phone on the desk for a while. When I came back, the phone had rebooted and was in the fastboot mode screen.
I tried to restart but it just loops back to same screen. Does not even go into recovery!!
What snapped it, cant understand!
Is it bricked? How do I revive the phone now?
Please help!
Thanks
Could be some CRC glitch in the main memory which prevents your phone from boot.
Being in FB mode try to flash some stock ROM (download the latest stock or Beta 9). Don't try to go to Recovery, flash from FB with fastboot utility.

No, recovery is part of the ROM, so not needed.
If it's a completely stock device, why not contact OnePlus and get a replacement?
Are you guys suggesting ADB sideload command? My USB debugging seems to be off, returns empty on "adb devices"
I am unaware of fastboot command to flash the stock rom, googled it but could not figure out the right command.
Thanks

(a) there is no such thing as "bricked" when it comes to any OP Qualcomm devices
(b) as with ANY OP Qualcomm, OnePlus can reflash remotely directly to the Qualcomm or you can do the same thing yourself. Just follow the simple instructions.

I tried the unbrick tool, but device manager (Windows 7 64bit) shows the device as Oneplus Android Bootloader Interface (under Samsung Android Phone )
Therefore, MSMDownloadTool does not show any device in the list.

Now I have free BL unlock, root and custom ROMs and mainly GCAM + AMOLED display, SD 855, 6 gigs of RAM, etc. Thanks for your time BTW. Never buying Huawei phone again, because being locked in your own phone forever s*cks...

It's already covered somewhere here... (1) Flash original stock boot.img back to the device (2) Use 'fastboot oem asus-csc_lk" to lock the device
Just mind that some owners of the CN/CN>WW converted versions apparently have issues re-unlocking the device again if you change your mind later. If you have a WW version you're fine however.
