Hey everyone so I just got the new Sony Xperia 5 II XQ-AS52 UK version and I tried to flash it to the XQ-AS62 US firmware version of the phone as I can not use VoLTE. Everything went fine and flashed but for some reason I just get the endless "Sony" bootloop I followed all the steps to flash it using xperifirm and newflasher. I did some researching here on the forums and some of them say its because of the slot that I flashed it on "slot b" instead of "slot a" which I tried to do the steps to switch the slots and reflash it again but all I got was the "can not change slot in locked state" I don't know what else to do I just wanted to flash it to the US version of the firmware and start using my new device. Can someone please help me? Thank you
Well, it is due to you flashing the wrong firmware you have XQ-AS52 not XQ-AS62. Not to sound rude but as a general rule it is best to only flash firmwares designed for the hardware you have. Now as for how to fix your issue try first to flash it back to the UK version so at the very least you have a working device. Also is your UK version at the very least unlocked?

As title says I am having trouble flashing original stock firmware onto my phone.
The model number is: SM-G920F.
I originally installed a rom which caused my phone to lose it's baseband. I then tried to flash a stock firmware and it didn't work. In ODIN it just fails instantly.
I noticed that in download mode it says that the "product name is: SM-G920P" however.
So I flashed the G920P instead which got it working back to normal.
The only problem is I don't live in the US. I live the UK. The firmware is rejecting my sim card.
I want to flash the G920F and am having some trouble. If anyone could help I would appreciate it if someone could talk me through this.
I have looked around the forums etc and I haven't seen a solution to my problem.
Thanks in advance.
You've got a CDMA version of the S6, as far as I know, no UK carrier uses CDMA, they use GSM, so you're out of luck if you want to get it to work in the UK.

You can try using "Smart Switch". I wasn't able to flash ITV firmware over the BTU, it failed at hidden. I tryed with Smar Switch and it work.
Hi,
I'm giving my old Moto G to my brother, so I need to remove root and install stock firmware, as the sim unlock code does not work on the custom firmware. I can easily install the stock 5.1 lollipop EU rom, but then when I try to install the stock firmware (I'm pretty sure it's O2, but I've tried both O2 firmware as well as the Retail GB) it gets stuck on the bootloader unlocked screen. It's still there after ~30 minutes, so I'm fairly certain that it's crashing.
Does anybody know what's going on, or potentially have any fixes? There are no errors when flashing the firmware, and I've triple checked that I've got the correct firmware version.
Thanks.
I recently received a T-Mobile Galaxy S6, and it was rooted and had a custom kernel, which was a complete mess (the person who owned the phone previously clearly did not know what they were doing) so I just wanted to restore it back to full stock.
I am decently experienced with ODIN, rooting, custom firmware etc, but I have just done one of the biggest rookie mistakes I have ever done. I had accidentally downloaded the most recent firmware for my G920T, not realizing that the file was not for T-Mobile. It was the (XAR) carrier (I believe that is C-Spire but i could be wrong) and the latest was PK1.
It flashed perfectly and all seemed fine until I decided to unlock the device. The T-Mobile S6 requires the use of the "Device Unlock" app and since I had flashed the wrong ROM, the phone thinks the Device Unlock app is not compatible. When I put a different GSM SIM card in the phone, it prompts me to use the Device Unlock app.
I do not have a previous NANDROID backup from the original T-Mobile ROM, and now that I am on the lastest Bootloader for XAR, it will not let me downgrade. I have tried flashing pretty much every MM bootloader and TWRP for both T-Mobile and XAR and none will work (except for what is currently on the device of course) I always get the error "Device: 5 Binary: 4" (sometimes the binary is 3, depending on which version of MM rom or BL I try)
To sum it all up, I am on PK1 (latest for XAR) and I need a way to get back to the official T-Mobile ROM (latest is PD1). Is there a magic method to get this figured out or am I pretty much stuck with what I got until T-Mobile releases an update that is PK1 or higher?
Thank you in advance to all of you that take your time to help (and I am sincerely sorry if I am posting in the wrong section)
Hello,
I recently flashed my firmware to the EE UK 58.0.A.28.25 from XperiFirm and everything went smoothly.
I wanted to try different ones so I attempted to flash others (as well as trying to go back to stock 58.0.A.22.21) but this ended up giving me the dreaded 'Your device is corrupt' bootloop.
I thought I had bricked my phone but I can flash the initial EE UK 58.0.A.28.25 and everything works fine again.
Am I missing something? It's been a while since I dabbled in flashing phones but the process seems pretty straight forward.
I always dumped the TA files and never touched the backup persist partition.
I wanted to post this in the Newsflasher thread but I guess I don't meet the requirements.
My phone is currently working but now I'm a bit weary to proceed with future flashes as I don't know what exactly the issue is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
i met that isue, charge your phone battery morethen 50%, repair with xperia companion, when your phone repaired, use newflasher again but remove all file TA in firmware folder.
I tried flashing an Australian (G970FXXS9DTK9) anrdoid 10 firmware but odin wouldn't let me-
phone still works thank goodness. it's on android 11
I thought with an unlocked bootloader I could flash whatever I want as long as it worked for the phone (staying within 970f)
whats happening? how can I flash an english working stock firmware? also can I flash an older firmware or am I still locked somehow from going down or changing country
