Installing Good Lock in Samsung Fold 2 dual sim phone - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Questions & Answers

My Indian based Fold 2 is dual Sim,one Nano SIM and eSim.For installing Good Lock is it sufficient to remove the Nano SIM only?

What exactly are you in mind?
I have fold 2 5g and use Good Lock with 2 sim mode - esim and physical sim without any problems.

Thank you for your help. What I meant is that do I have to remove the physical Sim Card and stop the eSim to install GoodLock?Or remove the physical Sim Card alone without stopping the eSim?

You can install good lock like every normal app, especially if you can acces for this app in samsung app store.

SamsungPay CH getting installed instead of SamsungPay UK

Hi,
I had officially (official Samsung reseller) bought my Galaxy S6 when I was living in Switzerland. I now live in UK.
Today I wanted to setup SPay so I have upgraded to Nougat and automatically Samsung installed the Samsung Pay app on my Galaxy S6 but i cannot for the love of god manage to find how to install it on my Gear S2. the option is simply NOT THERE.
Also I just realised that when I go in the Galaxy Apps it says "SamsunPay CH" ...
I have successfully added a UK card though.
I think this is why in my Gear S2 settings there is no option for Spay... because of the samsung Pay country version..
Can anybody tell me how to manually switch to SamsungPay UK ? Or can anyone give me the UK samsung pay apk I can try install it myself?
thank you

I'm also getting this problem, but I've never been to Switzerland and I've got a UK S7 edge, and UK sim card ?
Would love a UK apk for Samsung Pay.

After searching it appears that clever samsung didn't actually release Samsung Pay for any Gears in the UK.
No ETA announced... this probably means never

Spoken to almost every department in samsung support today with no answers.

You can find the apk online somewhere instead of installing the app from playstore.
Do a Google search for:
"SamsungPay.apk UK"
Then go to system settings>security and turn on "allow unknown sources"
Then manually install the app from the apk that you downloaded.

Even if you install the Samsung pay gear manually when you try to lunch it it says "This gear is not compatible"

Change the phone's CSC code to "UK" should be worth a try.

Using SPay on Gear S3 when phone is locked out of SPay

Hi all.
I'm thinking about buying a Gear S3 Frontier. I'm currently using a rooted S7 Edge that does not pass the Safetynet stuff, and SPay won't run on the phone either - I get advised that the phone is locked out of SPay.
My question is: Will I still be able to use SPay on the Gear via the Samsung Gear app, or will I be locked out of using SPay on the watch as well?
Thanks.
I am using it and it's working fine on my rooted S8 plus. You have to run magisk to root and hide the Samsung pay apps plus remove sign of busybox from xbin folder.
Hey, sorry about the delayed reply, I don't recall getting a notification of a response to my post.
So you're using Samsung Pay on your Gear S3 without a problem, with the Samsung Pay native app on the phone not working?

I can't use SPay on the phone, it says the app is locked due to "unauthorised modification" etc...
Yes Samsung pay is working great on my S3 but not on my phone because it's rooted (S8 plus).

Nice. So you add cards via the Gear app I assume? Is there any functionality that isn't there?
Sorry for the questions, I don't own a Gear S3 yet (currently using a Pebble Time Steel) and don't really have a reason to change at this stage unless SPay works well on the S3.
Thanks!
As far as I can see I get full functionality, I can add cards from the gear app I guess it's totally separate from the Spay for the phone. It's really good paying with the watch very convenient.

Awesome. Thanks for your help!
Heheh so here's the issue now... the Gear S3 I bought is an HK version. Pay doesn't appear to be enabled on the watch. I installed a sideloaded version of the SPay plugin for Gear but when I run it, it says I need an HK SIM card in my phone to install Pay.
I think I can get one of these (an HL travel SIM should work) but I don't know if it will only work with that SIM installed, or if I can just "activate" SPay and then add my cards in afterwards.
Another complication might be that even if I can do this, the fact that my credit card is Australian and not HK might cause a problem as well *sigh*
Thoughts?

@m3dd0g - what was/is the issue with the eSIM with O2? i have a US SD Variant (locked to ATT) with 2 IMEI numbers and Samsung support said an update will be pushed to enable the eSIM (yes, i have 20% confidence in Samsung support's statement). the use of a Nano and eSim was a driving factor in my N20 Ultra purchase. Thanks.

thanks for the quick reply. do you know if the update enabled the Sim Connection Manager or if was to fix another eSim issue? for me, the Sim Connection Manager isn't available in the Connection Settings, which is required to activate an eSim.

Does anybody know how to enable E-sim (or get Sim Management Options) in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 USA Version?
I have SM-F916U1 and as far as I know E-sim has been enabled in international version.
By the way, I originally have SM-F916U (AT&T Model) which I unlocked and then flashed SM-F916U1 firmware on it. So, my box has two IMEIs written over it.
Can someone help?

If it is like the Note 20 and S10 Samsung has to enable it. Which they never did on those devices. It is capable but not enable and no figured out how to do it on those either.

Is it possible to change csc on Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G?

Hi,
I have Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G (Model SM-N986N) (Korea) (Snapdragon).
I purchased this from eBay for a great price, was wondering if it is possible to change it to a different native language without bloatware, Without ROOT? Is it possible to change the model of this phone to SM-N986B?
If i do it with ROOT, is there a ROM that would still allow banking apps to work?

I can only really, answer you on one of your questions.........
You have a Snapdragon device, correct?
However,
the SM-N986B is a Exynos device..?
So far as my knowledge base goes..
You can't flash Exynos firmware onto Snapdragon.... you will "brick" your device!
( I have a SM-N986B Exynos device, it's a dual sim device)
To change to different language, should be possible.
Factory reset your device and in process of setting up your device
just change the language( in one of the preset options....)
Unfortunately this won't change CSC.
As with root i cannot help you, as i stopped rooting a few years back... due to my Banking apps and few other apps that was not root friendly.
Yes, i do believe if you root,
you can " spoof" some banking apps... to work.
Personally, this is not for me.
Good luck.
Not sure if this still works, install Google Dialler, set as default, dial this number

not working
I know this is an old thread, but did anyone try this? does it work?
I have Note 20 Ultra (SM-N986N) and want to flash (SM-N986B) firmware.
The main reason is to get e-sim feature "Sim Card Manager" option in settings. as it is disabled unfortunately.
If any one tried this, please advice us.
in case this is not possible; what is the soultion to enable e-sim without rooting.
Appreciate your response.
