@m3dd0g - what was/is the issue with the eSIM with O2? i have a US SD Variant (locked to ATT) with 2 IMEI numbers and Samsung support said an update will be pushed to enable the eSIM (yes, i have 20% confidence in Samsung support's statement). the use of a Nano and eSim was a driving factor in my N20 Ultra purchase. Thanks.

thanks for the quick reply. do you know if the update enabled the Sim Connection Manager or if was to fix another eSim issue? for me, the Sim Connection Manager isn't available in the Connection Settings, which is required to activate an eSim.

I'm sure the question will get brought up......
The answer is yes! This phone works perfect on Verizon. Lte , calls, mms all work flawlessly. You must already have a active micro SIM and just swap it from previous phone to the NEX
This is only for the s (sd845 processor) variant that supports the bands of cdma and lte.

Nice! The vendor from where I got the phone made it clear the phone won't work with Verizon. You're proof the phone will work.

I think VOLTE is like T-Mobile's band 12, 700Mhz concrete break through band. The phone has to be authorized by the provider for the service to work.
I believe you. No need to lie about something like this. No need for pic, but you can post it for those with doubt.
Here's a pic

I can't remember if the Service Dialer code *#*#4636#*#* works on the NEX.
If it's capable, you should be able to see if the toggles for VoLTE & Vo WI-FI are accessible (not greyed-out).
Just curious,as neither are available on the NEXs' cousin, the Find X.

3 questions
1. Is your Vivo Nex the 8gb ram version or the 6gb ram version? I heard that one of the two models do not work well with Verizon, so i want to know the model you use on Verizon if what i heard is true.
2. Did you buy the Chinese version or the India version of the Vivo Nex?
3. Where is a good place to buy a Vivo Nex? Is it possible to have the website where you got your Vivo Nex if you got yours online?
Ran into this info unrelated to your VOLTE problem but it deserves a read. Looks like IMS, which can be added in the APN settings, has to do with VOIP.
The settings location is APN TYPE located in your APN file @settings\Mobile Network\Access Point Name.

Hi,
Were you able to update to Android 10 even though you are not in USA? I think I read somewhere that the phone can only update when it is connected to Sprint's network.

It works, the LTE speeds are slightly lower then my v35 but still fast enough for HD streaming 20-40 mbps (in a city). Just got a security and software update as well from LG. No Volte, however.
The service menu code ##DATA# (or #Data##) may be able to tweak some settings.

Disabled on all U and U1 models. No way to enable it manually.

My guess would be carrier pressure, but then they're not an up and coming startup cellphone manufacturer so if Google and Apple can have ESIM enabled, they should do it as well.
Also they promised ESIM in future update for S20 USA model which has not yet happened with no explanation from Samsung.

It's carrier pressure, they did this to appease their major usa carrier clients. Whereas Apple stuck a middle finger at them. Oneplus eventually did the same and enabled dual sim functionality, but they are small fish in sales volume in the NA market compared to Samsung.
Unfortunately like you mentioned the s20 still hasn't got dual sim functionality and I very much doubt that they ever will. All eyes will be on the next generation S series for the NA market, in relation to their stance on this matter.

True, I hope with more people voicing their opinion regarding ESIM directly to Samsung, they'll change their stance.
We got them to do it to unlock bootloader a few years back at least for a few years that was going well so let's hope this will work...

Does anybody know how to enable E-sim (or get Sim Management Options) in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 USA Version?
I have SM-F916U1 and as far as I know E-sim has been enabled in international version.
By the way, I originally have SM-F916U (AT&T Model) which I unlocked and then flashed SM-F916U1 firmware on it. So, my box has two IMEIs written over it.
Can someone help?

If it is like the Note 20 and S10 Samsung has to enable it. Which they never did on those devices. It is capable but not enable and no figured out how to do it on those either.

Good day! I am wondering the same thing. I purchased mine in South Korea. I do not see the option. Despite many sites claiming ALL S22 series has that option. Were you able to get an answer?
There is a SIM administrator in the menu where you will see both SIMs in case you have two physical ones, or your can also download eSIMs from there. S22 ultra stock Android 13 One UI 5.0. Is this what you're asking?

My understanding from what I read all S22 models has dual sim. I checked and it's only showing one IMEI number and no sim option under connections. There's nothing showing eSIM. My model is SM-S908N.

I just read something from another site. Apparently South Korea has a restriction on their phones when it comes to dual sim. Doesn't make any sense especially since people travel a lot. I also read that they were supposed to implement changes in September. However it seems like it hasn't been done.

You would think, since Samsung is from South Korea. They would give their people the most options a phone could offer..
