Question Screened a call from someone in contacts . - Google Pixel 7 Pro

The other day I got a call from someone in my contacts who regularly calls me and the phone screened it , it never did that before. Any reason why it would do such a weird uncalled for type of thing all of a sudden.. ? Thanks

Anyone ?

Maybe your Flaky game is causing more problems than you realize?

Game causing the phone to screen a known person in contacts?? Hmm I don't think so

Lol, he made word for word response in another thread. Not sure how that happened

You might have had screen unlocked and accidentally tapped the screen call button in the notification banner.

This has happened to me before or turn off screen calling? I find everyone just hangs up when I screen their calls

I have the same issue. I had to turn Call Screen completely off as it was not even screening, but actually treating calls from my wife and kids (who are obviously in my contacts) as if they were spam and sending them directly to Voicemail, phone wouldn't even ring or show the missed call in the call log. I would just see a missed call notification. I have had this same issue on both the QPRs as well as the Stable release, so it isn't something introduced in the most recent QPR. It very well may have existed since I got the phone back in Oct. I raised a bug report, but never heard anything back on it.

My call screening won't even activate. It's been sitting there saying activating (requires wi-fi) since last night.

Occasional call drop - Why??

I've become increasingly irritated by something I have found in all WM6 ROMs that I have installed. I saw it in the PEE, EA and now VJs. Once every 5 or 6 calls, I will see the phone number come up on the display (phone is locked). I hit the soft left key to answer. The phone seems to think for a second or so, but never answers the call. The call gets dropped, and I see the missed call icon on the top bar. The same thing happens if instead of hitting the soft left key I hit the green phone key. I have to then unlock the phone, clear the missed call status, and call the person back. It's very annoying.
Does anyone else also see this? Is there a way around it? Or something that needs to be added/deleted?
Help!
Did you update the radio ROM ?

Two unique Evo issues, help please

Rooted Phone running Fresh
When dialing *2 Call in Phone mode, instead of calling Sprint Customer Service it brings me to "Sprint Zone". Any ideas?
Second issue. About 15% of the time and almost 80% of the time with certain people calling, swipeing the screen in a downward motion does not answer the call. I can stand there and swipe and swipe and swipe and if it doesnt want to respond it wont, until I get the missed call notice. Then the phone works fine until it happens again.
Ideas or thoughts?

Unfortunately, the *2 issue is present in many peoples phones... This is an error with Sprint. As far as a fix is concerned, I'm not sure.
As far as the swipe issue... I'm sorry, I don;t know what is causing this for you. :-/

[Q] My Nexus 5 dials calls without any action from me

Hello,
I have a Google Nexus 5 since almost 6 monthes.
When I have it on my desk, not touching it, it sometimes dials a call, usually using the last number dialled.
This is very embarrassing to recall people several times.
Does antbody else have this problem ?
Did you find a solution to stop it.
Thanks in advance
Genevieve
This sounds like you have kind of a virus on your N5...
Have you installed an app, which was not from the playstore or any other "suspicious" app, before you got this problem?
i feel your pain!

I wouldn't call it a virus...
Ive had the same issue too, I kept calling my sister in law... WHO HATES ME
I found it was my screen not locking on time.... but it could in the lowest sense of blaming somthing be a virus
but what would be gained from random calls to numbers you know? nothing.
check your lock screen settings, add a passcode see if it still happens.
I just know to double check its locked before pocketing it and butt dialing my a$$ off
He isn't talking about butt dialing because he put it in his pocket before it timed out. He said on his desk with no action from him. Phantom / Ghost calls lol.
OP did you try and see if a factory reset fixes the problem? Stock? Rooted? More info will help!

Incoming call notification

When I receive a phone call, the phone displays either 1 or 2 options.
Option 1: Regular notification where i can drag the phone icon to answer or decline, which is easy.
Option 2: It displays like the screenshot below. Nothing happens when I tap on the DISMISS or ANSWER. The only way to take a call is to slide the notification left or right to dismiss it, then pull down the notification center and click there. It is far too much work.
My LG G3 does not have that problem. Is it a bug? Does anyone have this problem. and how do I fix or avoid this?
Thanks.
UPDATE: I just tried reboot it, and it worked. Now I can touch DISMISS/ANSWER. Not sure if it will acting up again.
I never saw that. But I switched to a different launcher within an hour of getting the phone and may never have received a call during that time.

I get that too didnt realize it was a bug just an annoyance
Yeah I get that one one too sometimes and not sure why. Usually I screw it up and ditch the caller on accident when I get this notification bar for an incoming call. I hate it!
How did you enable that incoming call banner?
I always get option 1
Are you using the default phone app or hangouts

I use the default phone app.
And I don't think this has anything to do with launcher as I just changed to NOVA but problem still persists.

Incoming call screen not showing

Hello, on my new zfold2 the incoming call screen does not show when calls arrive. The phone rings, but the lock screen remains, basically i cannot answer the call until I unlike the device, go to the pull down menu and then see the incoming call to be able to answer it. I've searched whether there is a setting for this, but nothing...anyone can help me? thanks.
Same here. Fix?

I have not found anything yet. Must be a setting issue, i Hope!
Same here.
I've been using the Google dialer since using this phone and have had no issues. Not sure if this is really the answer that you're all looking for, but it may be a workaround for you until the stock phone app is updated.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer
I too was facing issues with the stock phone dialer, though the issue was different. It was not registering my touch or registering it after repeated attempts while wanting to make calls. Touch screen otherwise works fine.
Using a different Dialer now - True Phone app. and all issues of touch have been sorted out.
I had that problem, turns out for my problem was that I had do not disturb turned on. Doubt that's the same for you guys but just thought id share. Thanks.
Have you found any solution?
