Question Need help in buy process of a unit. - FYT Android Head Units

So I've been on here reading and getting to know what the ins and outs are of these units. But I'm still having a hard time finding what I need, like others the Teyes CC3 drew my attention as it come with the bezel I need for my kia forte 2019. But I'm having some thoughts on the price. If these units are the same just different resellers can i find a cheaper one with the same specs and find where they get the bezel from. As of now I have not had any luck in finding anything. Any help would be appreciated!

Assuming you want an FYT UIS7862 device.
Avoid teyes, my suggestion. They are a reseller of FYT units but with software lockins/subscription.
I brought two FYT UIS7862 type 53 and type 116 from a reseller called "mekede".
There are newer variants but largely the same FYT UIS7862, e.g. made up brand and model Name Mekede M6.
Whatever you do, make sure you get seller to provide screenshots of Android System information, so you can know what is being offered and dispute if not received = not scammed.
You'll note the many posts of odd ball head units in the Android head units forum where people come for "free support" for their flawed from new odd ball chinese origin head unit because they didn't know what they were buying.
Take your time or hurry to disappointment.

[Q] MTCD coreboard crapped out, replacements?

So my head unit ( Joying JY-UL135 ) stopped turning on. I went through various troubleshooting steps and the conclusion I and Joying support came to was that the coreboard has failed. They will send me a replacement one for a reasonable cost but I have to send the old one back direct to China which would bring the cost up to "ehhh" territory. And that assumes the package will get there and the deposit will be returned.
I have the original RK1388 1GB setup which was incredibly slow and disappointing. I asked Joying if it was possible to get a PX5 replacement because of how dissatisfied I've been with the unit. Joying told me that my unit was not compatible with the PX5 boards. I guess I was confused about the coreboard stuff, because I thought that RK1388 1GB board was the "PX3" that gets referred to here on the forums.
My questions are as follows:
* Is that correct that I cannot install an upgraded (more RAM specifically) board in the JY-UL135 unit? The PX5 boards are not compatible?
* Is there a place I can order coreboards domestically (US) to compare the price?
* Is there anything I can check/do with the coreboard to try and get it working again? I am very comfortable soldering, using a multimeter, etc. I've thought about using a heatgun to try and get the solder to reseat.
edit:
Update:
I had it confirmed on another forum that the PX5 RK1388 replacement boards are compatible with this specific head unit. It is the Joying-specific PX5 boards that are not compatible since they do not sell the appropriate type, and that is what Joying support meant by it wouldn't work.

MTK8259 VS UIS7862

Hi, i was looking for Head Units for my Toyota Yaris 2007, and i find two units that looks very good.
Both of them have 4G/64GB but one with an 7862, and the other one with a MTK8259.
Do you know how they perform ? Is the MTK8259 like the 7862 ?
Thanks in advance
(PS: Junson MTK8259 link and Navifly 7862 link)

What MTCD type units have you considered, being that you have posted in the MTCD forum.

Question Nevegator: What’s your thoughts about this headunit?

I found this headunit on Ali and seems interesting, what do y’all think?

What do you think. How have you identified the manufacturer of the unit and reviewed forum posts to make at least an initial attempt on buying decision.
Recently purchased the 8g/128g 2k screen unit from this seller. The android 12 is a fake. It has android 10 api 29 installed. Other than that its a generic FYT 7862 unit. Customer support is quick but tends to shake things off regarding android version.

What are your criteria for choosing.
I want to run apple carplay on it and i need it to be somewhat reliable.
I had an old 2DIN xtrons unit with android that died and i don't think that big brands like Xtrrons/joying are much more reliable than others, but they have better cuatomer support.
I was looking for units with uis7862 chipset because i saw a lot of posts about them.I thought that 3-4gb of ram is enough for running carpaly around 2 years.
I was expecting good/bad feedback about these brands in general
All the FYT units come from the one factory, the seller defines any customisation usually via software so they all have the same FYT hardware reliability.
You gauge the support from the seller by looking at the Aliexpress reviews noting that they can be distorted.
Teyes probably have the best support but you pay for it in locked features and the highest price.
There are no Android 11 or 12 units, they are fake and Android 10.
If you want it for Carplay then you really only need a display unit not a fully functioning head unit. A lot cheaper and if it goes wrong buy another.

Avoid, buy a genuine apple carplay unit. These are not.
Refer genuine units here:

Find out which car manufacturers currently offer, or are planning to introduce, models that support CarPlay.

Xtrons and joying are not real brands. They are resellers of various factories/manufacturers.
Good luck.

My car is from 2009 and i want to keep it for 2 more years.I don't think it's worth buying a genuine one that's around 1k second hand.

I agree. But if you insist on CarPlay or Android Auto and do not want to buy a 10.000+ euros/dollar car only for Carplay/AA, you better buy a cheap Android unit specifically designed for AA or CarPlay like a Podofo or a Carpuride (not FYT units).
The FYT units discussed here (7862/sc9853i and to lesser extend 8581) are high-performance units to be used as full Android units.
These Podofo and Carpuride units are low-performance units. They use more or less the same reverse-engineered Zlink/Carlink app, but are cheap.
And also for these units: Google and search Youtube.
