What are your criteria for choosing.

I want to run apple carplay on it and i need it to be somewhat reliable.
I had an old 2DIN xtrons unit with android that died and i don't think that big brands like Xtrrons/joying are much more reliable than others, but they have better cuatomer support.
I was looking for units with uis7862 chipset because i saw a lot of posts about them.I thought that 3-4gb of ram is enough for running carpaly around 2 years.
I was expecting good/bad feedback about these brands in general

All the FYT units come from the one factory, the seller defines any customisation usually via software so they all have the same FYT hardware reliability.
You gauge the support from the seller by looking at the Aliexpress reviews noting that they can be distorted.
Teyes probably have the best support but you pay for it in locked features and the highest price.
There are no Android 11 or 12 units, they are fake and Android 10.
If you want it for Carplay then you really only need a display unit not a fully functioning head unit. A lot cheaper and if it goes wrong buy another.

Avoid, buy a genuine apple carplay unit. These are not.
Refer genuine units here:
iOS - CarPlay - Available Models
Find out which car manufacturers currently offer, or are planning to introduce, models that support CarPlay.

Xtrons and joying are not real brands. They are resellers of various factories/manufacturers.
Good luck.

My car is from 2009 and i want to keep it for 2 more years.I don't think it's worth buying a genuine one that's around 1k second hand.

I agree. But if you insist on CarPlay or Android Auto and do not want to buy a 10.000+ euros/dollar car only for Carplay/AA, you better buy a cheap Android unit specifically designed for AA or CarPlay like a Podofo or a Carpuride (not FYT units).
The FYT units discussed here (7862/sc9853i and to lesser extend 8581) are high-performance units to be used as full Android units.
These Podofo and Carpuride units are low-performance units. They use more or less the same reverse-engineered Zlink/Carlink app, but are cheap.
And also for these units: Google and search Youtube.

Just purchased a 7.1 Dasaita 2GB PX3 head unit

Hello everyone, I just purchased this head unit for my 2015 toyota corolla, it was on sale for $350 a few days ago and I offered $325 and got it. I just decied to wing it since they include a 1 year warranty and if anything goes wrong, I'll just ship it back (shipping is not a problem since I get discounts from my employer) https://www.ebay.com/itm/2G-Ram-10-2-Android-7-1-Car-GPS-Navigation-for-Toyota-Corolla-Stereo-Headunit/253139409115?fits=Year%3A2015%7CModel%3ACorolla&hash=item3af048d8db:g:VVQAAOSwYVBZsNe5&vxp=mtr
I have a few questions:
-Is there a specific sub forum for these units?
-What are they categorized under? (By processor, brand, etc)
-Does anyone have any experience with these?
My needs are basic, I just want the factory backup camera and steering wheel controls to work (Which they do apparently). I plan to use a launcher(So far looked at Car Launcher and Auto Mate) + Spotify / Waze while driving. I have unlimited mobile hot spot on my Note 8 so internet won't be a problem.
Toyota also uses a plug in the dash that has both the USB and AUX ports on it with a wire that goes into the back of the OEM radio, I'm waiting to receive the unit to see if it retains these, if not its not a big deal.
Sorry for sounding like a total noob, its my first android HU
Thanks!

Once you receive it, you can check out it is px3 px5 or mtcd mtcb etc. That's how you find things related to your hardware. Dasaita is a brand that I see often so there must be a lot of information around

Help me decide: PX5 vs PX6 Units on Amazon

Hey guys -
Updating a really old head unit (mtcb) that's starting to die - need help deciding:
Vanku 10.1" (PX5 based): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08D3DMC7Q : $279.54 USD (on prime day, usually $339.99)
Dasaita 10.2" (PX6 based) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VBBZFBG : $499 USD
Both have 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM
I'd like to have a front camera, and it seems like the dasaita already has that in the harness - also, I was hoping to have wireless android auto (the vanku says its cable only). Not sure its worth the extra $220 though. Any thoughts?
Here is my feedback, just in case :
The Dasaita official store on Aliexpress provides fast shipping and an excellent support, even several months after the purchase.
Usually they answer within 3h (depending their local time off course) .
I ordered mine on aliexpress and paid more because of taxes then it would have been on amazon
do both do wireless android auto?
I wanted to try AA on mine but once the headunit is customized it gets more efficient than AA so I never did. My phone shares 4g to the HU using a WiFi hotspot and the phone calls are streamed by Bluetooth. AA won't do it better.

It's an android head unit. Using AA on it is kind of useless and redundant.
PX6 is noticeably snappier

No, they run a hacky screen mirroring app.
Only certified devices are true Android Auto, these are a modified Android.

I have the Dasaita you listed and am no longer using it. Now using a 1DIN PX6 because it is custom for my vehicle and looks nicer. As for PX5 vs PX6, I think the PX6 gets better benchmarks. I had to add a fan in all cases. For example if one tries to copy a large amount of data externally (from USB, SD card, or wifi) to the internal sd, it fails without a fan. If interested in my "old" unit pm me.
Although this is just my opinion I spent a few months researching Android head unit and although dasaita seemed like one of the higher-end options the more digging I did the more problems I seen that people had whether it be flickering screen poor lighting large gap between screen and glass lots of issues with people having whining noise coming through their speakers bad compatibility with amplifiers however I have not owned one myself. Also from all the research I saw the px5 units are pretty slow I bought a px6 unit and I have never been disappointed with speed the one that I bought is a vanku but it is not the tenant it's just the double DIN 7-inch 4 gig 64 GB came with Android 10 and is easily rootable

Question Nevegator: What’s your thoughts about this headunit?

I found this headunit on Ali and seems interesting, what do y’all think?

What do you think. How have you identified the manufacturer of the unit and reviewed forum posts to make at least an initial attempt on buying decision.
Recently purchased the 8g/128g 2k screen unit from this seller. The android 12 is a fake. It has android 10 api 29 installed. Other than that its a generic FYT 7862 unit. Customer support is quick but tends to shake things off regarding android version.

Question Anyone know if this Corsa D harness will work with CC3/ similar units?

I have a Corsa D (2009), but I can't find any cables or adapters anywhere, and don't want to spend lots of money on connects2.
Anyone have any experience with installing a 9" uis7862 (cc3 or Mekede M6 pro) into a Corsa D?
And will this adapter work with the HU?
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EzDF5a1
From the listing
Suitable for Opel Astra, Corsa, Antara, Vectra, Zafira with CDC40 head unit
So does your car have a CDC40 head unit

I believe that side will fit my car, even though I have the cd30, I believe the pinout is the same (I have compared it), and I believe my car had the option for a cd40, so I think it uses the same connections.
I was asking about the other side, which is the 16pin connector, I was wondering if this is compatible with the teyes cc3.
Best if you ask the seller, if they answer yes then when you get it and it does not you can raise a dispute, I have won these with photo's as evidence. A screenshot of a forum discussion will not work but seller answer will.

Question New into android HU, help choise

Hi, I'm really struggeling between 2 head units, because I have no idea if what they claim are genuine. The HU are those two:
€ 338,51 48% dto. | TEYES-reproductor Multimedia CC3 para coche Opel Astra K 2015-2019, Radio, vídeo, navegación GPS, estéreo, Android 10, No 2 din, DVD
https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ev3lyS9
€ 152,55 35% dto. | Reproductor Multimedia con Android 12 para Opel Astra K, pantalla de Monitor de coche, Lettore, autorradio, navegación GPS, TV, Radio estéreo, 2015 - 2019
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHpq87X
First one is perfect but doesn't have 2k screen
The second one is more expensive but I doesn't inspire trust as is the only one with 2k screen and android 12...
What info are you not sure about? The claim of Android 12?
The 1st unit is a Teyes CC3. I would guess most of their info is genuine.
The 2nd unit might be Android 12. There certainly are genuine Android 12 head units out there, just not made by FYT.
I can't see anywhere on the page listing that says any technical info like what CPU is in the heat unit.
To me it does not appear to be an FYT unit so it might be Android 12 but that's just an educated guess.
I just don't want to make a dumb purchase, I want to hear opinions from more educated users, should I go for that 2k?
There are no real brands. Avoid Teyes.
A a unit you like and ask seller for pictures of Android head unit to know what you are ordering and ability to dispute if not sent the expected unit.
Read the find forums and find out....
