Question Pixel 7 pro main Camera issue - Google Pixel 7 Pro

Hello,
I have a problem with my new pixel 7 pro with the camera. Namely, a line a couple of pixels thick appears almost constantly on the main camera (0.5 and 5x are ok) and when I zoom digitally ( 2x, 3x,... ) the line is still present and moving with the zoom. I have tested other Camera apps and everything is the same.
The Pixel is brand new. I just turned on the phone, set up email, did the updates, opened the camera and the line was there. I will also post a couple of pictures.
Has anyone had similar problems? Could this be a software or hardware issue?
Thanks in advance for the answers.

I'd say it is a hardware problem, i have not seen anything like that from anyone else.

Factory reset, check if it's still there, return for a replacement. I'd say definitely hardware

Blurry Photos when taken up close

I was trying to use the this barcode scanning application to scan a barcode and for some reason the main camera does not want to focus when anything is only several inches a way.
I thought it might be the app but when I tried it in the stock camera app I noticed that the camera cannot focused on anything close up.
Is anyone else not able to get focused macro shots?
Yes, it's impossible to focus on a object that is close. I don't think it's a problem but the (****ty) way this camera focus. I wonder if any fix regarding this and the slow focus can be done by ROM devs.
Nexus 6 Camera suffers blurry close ups too

As you can see in the above link this guy has the same exact problem with focusing on close object that my Moto Maxx has on both video and still shots.
He RMA'd his phone and the replacement works perfectly fine.
Isn't the camera on the Nexus 6 the same as on the Moto Maxx?
Can anyone else confirm if they have this problem with the Moto Maxx or not?
Thanks
SOLVED!
So I was able to solve this problem by opening up the phone and replacing the rear camera module itself.
I purchased a Droid Turbo XT1254 Camera Module on Ebay for $25.00 shipped.
Took me about 15 min to install using a Droid Turbo Teardown Youtube video as a guide.
Now I can take photos of barcodes, labels, that are clear and about 3 - 4 inches away.
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
I also solved this issue by replacing the camera as rbalfury suggested but I'm not happy with the performance of the camera. I blame it on the software side since it doesn't allow me to manually focus the damn thing and my lg g2 could take awesome macro shots and could see very fine details with it. This camera focuses automatically and before it finishes focusing you can see for an instant when it's adjusting that it becomes crystal clear but then blurs up the shot a bit which sucks. Need a camera software with manual focus but no luck yet.

S7 front facing camera quality

My phone's front facing camera gives my face a blurry look while background seems to be finely focused. I know that this has been a problem for many s7 users too. I wonder what you guys think about that if i go to samsung service and have my front camera changed, can this problem possibly be solved ? Anyone tried this yet? , any results?
I think it may have to do with the fact that the camera is fixed focus, not autofocus like almost any other phone front camera. Having it replaced might not do much if the error is within the phone's configuration (in the NAND), but if Samsung will do it for free, why not try?
I really want a solution to this annoying detail. Looking for people who tried this as a solution and got any result on this particular problem.
But as you said, why not if it's free of charge.
i got a new camera in my s7 and its same...i told them it makes blurry images and they replaced the camera but its the same again...still blurry...background is fine but my face is smudged...even 5 year old nokia does it better... someone sad that sgs7 front camera is set to infinity mode ,but u cant change it so ur stuck with it....shame on Samsung....overall probably the best in android world ,specialy the back camera focus... and for the note Samsung will replace ur camera for free...THEY MUST!!! hope i helped u clarify things...cheers.
I have tested my Black Onyx S7 and havent had any issues with the internal 'selfie' camera.
Clear and sharp images of my grumbly mug at the office,, working on a weekend *grumble*
Might be worth checking with Samsung, see if they will swap it out and offer some feedback?
Thanks for the experience sharing. I know that many samsung s7 has this problem but what frustrates me is that i checked one other s7 in store and it was better in quality in terms of sharpness and details. So why not my phone have that quality. That is my problem
This is a flagship phone and s4 takes better selfies. Samsung should beware of this problem, should feel sorry and replace front cameras with better ones in services.

Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Rear Camera Blur/Focus issue which Camera Module (Sony/ISOCELL)

I've got myself a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (G955FD) about two weeks ago and this morning I had a camera blur issue.
Upon Googling I noticed that a lot of people out there have the same issue and a tap on the top (right corner) of the device fixes this.
(Supposedly switching to pro mode would fix it as well, but couldn't verify since the aforementioned solution fixed my issue, for now.)
What I also found out is that Samsung is shipping these phones with 2 different camera modules: Sony IMX333 or Samsung ISOCELL SLSI_S5K2L2_FIMC_IS (I'm focusing on the rear-facing camera, since that's where the issue is at).
According to a poll on this forum, most (+-63% as of now) people have the ISOCELL camera module.
What I'd like to research is whether there is a correlation between one of the modules and the camera blur issue.
So if you'd all be so kind to find out what sensor you've got (i.e. by downloading the AIDA64 app from the google play store and clicking on "Devices" in the app) and voting on this poll accordingly, it'd be much appreciated!
Update:
My previous Galaxy S8+ got stolen (24/02/18), bought a new one, the same seller, exact same model with the exact same camera module, and I haven't experienced the blur once. (knock on wood)
So, it would seem that some camera modules are just defect and need to be replaced. This is in accordance with what I've read from multiple users around the internet.
I was going to bring mine in for repair (to a Samsung experience center), but the phone got stolen before I could do so. If anyone does bring it in to get it fixed: let the other's know how that worked out for you!
Cheers
I personally have the exynos s8 with both Isocell cameras. I don't have any kind of blurr on the left upper corner, they are complete on the right upper corner in my pictures, basicly in any picture taken in automode.
But whats way worse is that damn focusblurr. If you try to make a picture from somethin smaller (some inches) from around 6-8 inches away you always get a top sharp center picture with completely blurred, undetailed sorroundings.
I own the S8 since 06/2017 and I tried a lot. Also it is not a defect, every s8 exynos is exactly the same (couldn't try a snapdragon so far). Came from the Honor 7 and this phone was able to perform way (way!) better in macro shots. And yes, it doesn't matter which mode your in with this issue.
Snap dragon, no blur nice pics

Doogee mix 2 - camera

Hi guys,
I appreciate that this is a specific Mix 2 question but couldnt see a mix 2 section yet to post in.
I recieved my Mix 2 about a week ago and my first impressions are that its a great phone - it does everything I want....... apart from when it comes to the cameras.
Firstly, the quality is pretty bad and a large step back from the oppo find 7 I am switching from. Both front and rear facing cameras fail to properly focus and always seem to take photos like there is a dirty lens, a sort of soft look, most obvious when photographing text, which just isnt sharp at all.
Secondly, it appears that the second rear facing camera doesn't do anything - is it even real?!? I believe its there for the optical zoom option, but even when you zoom in with the camera app, you can still cover this camera and it has no effect on the photo, therefore it is not used.
Any ideas on how to improve the picture quality? I presume its going to be a case of waiting for Doogee or some developers to take this device on to update the firmware......
Thanks

A new update of the firmware is being "cooked" to solve this problem.
I know that will be released soon.

It would be great... Camera performance is the main issue of the device. On the other hand, all the other features are quite well
Sorry to put this query here. Even i haven't got any place to right it down. I also have a same problem. Rear camera not working. Bought this phone specially for camera specifications. When will be the updates release to make the second rear camera work. Even 8 MP Nokia camera takes better picture than this 16 MP. And there are many bugs. Many apps crashes. And on YouTube I have seen many videos which shows many camera app showing 4k video recording option, but I think that was after update and I still haven't received it.i show that video 1 month back.
New update from company has improved the camera lil bit. But still not a usable one. And it keeps on hunting for focus in video.
From morning all Google apps are getting closed by itself. Please help to solve the issue in mix 2
no updates have improved the camera on this phone for me so far. Taking photos of static images is ok - maybe 6/10, if I use whatsapp to take a photo of anything it always appears very soft and a little blurred. If I try to take a photo of my cat.....no chance, the shutter is so slow, unless the object doesnt move at all you cant capture the image. I do like the phone and previously havent been bothered about camera specs, but that was when all my previous phones could take decent pictures. This might be the reason I get rid of this phone in a few months, it turns out a decent camera is a must for me - I was spoilt with my Oppo find 7, which had an incredible camera

+1 about camera perfrmance, i bought it to do a review and the camera is the worst thing in an otherwise decent phone. I did a comparison with the honor 7x, which has a much better camera at the same price.

Hallo guys, there isn't a procedure to flash Google camera hdr+ on this smartphone o mediatek CPU. I founded everything for Qualcomm but nothing to mediatek.

Blurry Photos on Front Camera

Hey guys, Got my phone 2 days back. I received a software update the very moment I signed in and I did.
Later through the day I went on checking the cameras. I was in a medium to low lit room and I could see the front camera was blurry. So I tried taking pictures but they did turn out well. I tried gcam but the viewfinder was still the same blurred with good shots after the photo was clicked.
I went outside to check the camera and I could see the viewfinder preview was sharp as it looks on my op5. I went back to the low lit room and the viewfinder turned blurry again. Also I tried video calling and the receiver told me that my video looked like some low frame rate camera.
I received an update later which reduced the blur effect a little but it's very much noticeable.
Anybody else has this issue?
Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to be as detailed as possible.
Also I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue. If it's a hardware issue the viewfinder should've been blurred in good light too right?
Also photos when clicked in low-light come out good. The issue is with the viewfinder only.
I'm sceptical of getting a replacement if it's not a hardware issue due to the lockdown delay and all and since it's from OnePlus site I don't get the return option either like Amazon.
Please share your valuable thoughts regarding this and if anyone else's facing the same issue.
Seems like nobody has the issue. So I might rma the device.
Thanks people

I am still trying to understand if this is an hardware problem or software. I wrote on a forum and they told me "sometimes blurry, but its okay with the colours" and another "whatsapp videocalls were always pretty bad, but I faced issue with blurry camera only at night". People answered me like if this is normal for a 1000€ phone...I come from one plus 7t pro and the front camera was better. I don't know what to do, I wait some days to find more discussion about this, if this is an hardware problem I try to replace otherwise I will ask refund...
I'm pretty sure the 7T & both 8s use the same font camera sensor (Sony imx471) so the images should be similar depending on software.

Actually the photos in low light turn out good once you've captured them. They're blurry only in the viewfinder. As such video calls are also blurry since what you see on the viewfinder is what the receiver gets.
To top it all the viewfinder is sharp when it's good lighting out there. The issue is only with medium to low light
Hi, i am facing the exact same problem. I got my phone (OnePlus 8) two days back and I started having second thoughts. I really hope it's a software issue. Spent a lot on this device.
I just bought one plus 8 and I am feeling so regretful as I figured out my front camera blurry, I don't know what should i do
Should I wait for software update?

I had a pixel2xl before the one plus 8. When I compared the quality of the photos in general, I thought that the one plus 8 must be broken. we agree that the camera of the one plus 8 is simply ****...
