Thanks in advance!
Maybe you have to use two mini to normal USB converters and a regular usb cable, think this is a lot cheaper as well.
Hallo,
i need a second usb data cable but Diamond cable is a little differnt than the ones for Prophet that i have many of, so which other HTC Phone usb data cable is compatible with Diamond i.e have the same end?

I'm using a standard usb to mini usb cable and it fits and works fine. The HTC cable with a square end won't fit a standard mini usb port but a standard mini usb connector fits in the Diamond.
Great, it works !
I should have read your post before buying a new specific USB cable for my diamond.
Strange decision from HTC !
@KIEN
Thanx bro
Not that strange. The connector can be used for audio, for which you need a special HTC connector and also for data, for which you can use a mini-USB connector. Well played.
I always sync my device using a regular USB cable. However ive seen that if i move the phone while it is syncing sometimes the syncing stops. I think its because regular cables doesnt attach as firmly as the original one does.

omfg... maybe i am too stupid or what, but i didnt even thought about putting regular mini usb cable into diamond. But, it work.
You just saved me a lot of money for two new cables and a car adapter...
i cant believe so many people didnt realise!!!
maybe its just me who has tons of USB cables lying around...
I bough a TyTN (hermes) and i was wondered about why it dont has audio port... 3.5 or 2.5... somebody sold me a convereter miniUSB to 3.5 the same port 11 PIN USB that my TyTN has but... it dont works...
Does anybody knows the configuration pins...??? i see a config for 11 PIN on a forum called Tracy and matt's blog USB EUM configurations pins... but... maybe it dont shows the real thing. any other source...?
htc doesn't use a plain mini usb plug they use ext-usb. Its a special type of plug. I don't know the pins but i do have the adapter and so therefore i know you can get an adapter to turn it into a headphone jack.
Here is an example of one... mine is a bit simpler with just the headphone jack but this will give you an idea.
Yep i saw this model... too...

it dont works... maybe not all the ext-USB are the same
My device is an at&t 8525 or htc hermes.
I don't know thats funny, are you sure they are a reputable seller? that your usb it working headphones ect.
I don't think their are different versions but i'll sniff around and see what i can find. They adapter i used worked fine in my 8925
I'm trying to find an adapter that allows me charge my phone and listen to my headphones with either USB c earphones or 3.5. So USB c on one side and 2 USB C and a 3.5 jack on the back. I can't seem to find something or maybe I don't know what to search for lol.
I'm not sure if anyone knows how to solve this. When i plug in the type c to 3.5 mm cable it says that the connected usb device is not supported. It used to work fine on my oneplus devices. Alsoz the Kishi plugs to the phone but it doesn't recognize it as a controller. Could it be something related to how the phone's type c port works?
I also tried a usb audio jack adapter and it says the same thing.. usb device not recognized. I hadn't tried our Kishi yet but am afraid to try now.
EDIT: In this reddit thread, someone downloaded the app from the store and then it worked. maybe smartswitch didn't move it over properly?
