Is that an active icon, or part of a screenshot? Are you using some type of third party app that allows QR code scanning?
Yeah, that's weird. I've never seen that before.

It's the default(1st party app) QR scanner, Also, you can see it in the quick setting tile(s) called "Scan QR Code".
*not 3rd party, it's built-in

Yes I know about the QR scanner in the quick settings tile. I have tried to find any settings associated with that tile and there seems to be none! Maybe a "Google" search or someone else might be able to chime in.

From what I've read it is a part of A13 -
https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1558870427065270276Probably Google half implemented it, but I don't understand as to why it is just there, even when always on display kicks in I still see it.

Tried Google, found nothing.
And at settings, I see nothing that really changed, from before I resetted to after.
I can't find it at settings, and no it's not any 3rd party app, it's like the wallets icon, just for a scanning QR codes.
- I don't really understand as much of android to know where to dig and find the setting(as in files).

I believe you.
I wonder if the information from here could help you re-disable it? Curious how it got enabled in the first place.
Android 13: Enable the QR code scanner shortcut - Real Mi Central
This lets you enable a shortcut to the same QR code scanner on the lock screen as in the quick settings tile.
www.realmicentral.com
According to the latest information, In Android 13, Mishaal Rahman spotted a new framework property “config_enableQrCodeScannerOnLockScreen”. This lets you enable a shortcut to the same QR code scanner on the lock screen as in the quick settings tile. For an instant, this option is set to false and there is no user switch.

With a lock screen QR reader and a Quick Settings tile

I even don't see the quick tile lol; maybe it's because of another app for that is installed here.
does search in settings for "qr" or "lockscreen" or sth related to it show some toggleable maybe?
does it disappear when you install an 3rd party qr app from playstore?

Hi everybody
Do you guys know a way to deactivate the annoying pop up view ? Because everytime I wants to access my notification bar, the popup view thing shrink down the app I'm using and it's pretty frustrating
+1. I've been having the same issue.
+1 same here, you would think they added a possibility to turn this off but I haven't found it yet.
+1 for this... still haven't figured it out, would love to know if anybody else has.
What do you mean by pop up view? The giant quick buttons with brighness bar and sfinder/quickconnect? That thing bothers the hell out of me, it takes 1/3 of the screen. Also hate that you can't double click the notification boxes on the lock screen.
Sorry. Replied to quick based on title..
Similar description but different issue.
No, not that either. Pop-up view is when you drag down diagonally from the top right corner of the screen to make an app shrink down to a floating window.
looking through some other samsung touchwiz phone forums recently and it seems that there isn't a way to turn it off.
It's called MultiWindow and it is, in fact, annoying as ****.
Now that we have root, anybody have any thoughts?

Bump. I hate it. Thinking of even getting rid of this phone.
I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung’s MultiWindow feature. Look for “MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung” on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nerd.multiwindowtoggle

In describing the behavior earlier in the thread, someone said "Pop-up view is when you drag down diagonally from the top right corner of the screen to make an app shrink down to a floating window. ". This application permits you to turn off that feature/behavior.
I believe that multi window, split screen and pop-up views are all part of the same feature. See Samsung's description of the feature in their SDK: http://developer.samsung.com/galaxy#multiwindow
The two features are definitely similar and related, but they are also distinctly different.

I apologize that the name for the application isn't specific enough. Regardless, it should disable the feature that includes the multi-window and pop-up behaviors.

Yes. It disables both. The application disables MultiWindow mode, which the popup behavior is part of. My reply was in response to the original poster who was looking for a way to disable the popup behavior that occurs when you try dragging down the notification bar. I believe the application addresses that undesirable behavior. I am sorry the application doesn't give you the control you want. If time permits, I will see if finer control over the behavior is available.

Pokemon PTC account
You will need to login with a valid pokemon (PTC) account.
You should create a specific account to be sure your main account won't get banned.
If you have trouble logging, try to login in the pokemon go app to check this account is working.
Don't hesitate to give me feedback and suggestions.
Phone need to be rooted?
Do i need a root for this? Can i refine distance?
Thanks

Killing the app works, but definatly get failed GPS more times than not. Still when it works it's very good. Can't wait for an update
Everything works fine outside but getting failed GPS in apartment, even if other apps doesn't have any problem. I can get a localization anyway, but 2 seconds later it will say failed GPS again.
Would it be possible to assume when GPS failed that the user is still at the last valid position for a certain time instead of display the message ?
Anyway, great job !
Edit: whoops, answered to fast, it seems i have trouble outside too.
Gps Issue will be fixed in next release, it was a stupid error, (had forgotten to uncoment a line sending location to the map fragment...)
nice feature to come in next release...
V0.02
Found pokes are now shown in a notification (show the 8 more rare ones) with their expiry time and rarity color
New Status Server info icon: open a webpage showing servers status (if you don't get any poke location try to login again once in a while)
GPS Location was not working sometime: fixed
Poke location search is a little slower but gives better result
(has been uploaded to play store, should be available soon)
Don't update to v. 0.02 there seems to be an issue, I will publish an update later today
is it safe to assume that is why I am not getting any notifications on my smart watch?

Master device doesn't use battery.
Tracked devices do but only when tracked in real time and just for that time. There's no background process or wakeups.
Passive tracking barely uses any battery instead, you can track passively all added devices by just swiping down/refresh main window.

Thank you. What about GPS? Does it have to be in full precision mode or it also work on battery save mode or GPS only mode?
By default, when configuring tracked devices, it will ask for full precision settings.
Nothing prevents you from switching to a lower power settings after that.
You will be warned though when you try to track down any device whose location settings aren't satisfied so you know why location may be inavailable or inaccurate.

hi, thanks very much for the nice review
I've got many during the years for many projects but many didn't caught the very essence sometimes.
You actually deeply pointed out all the things i'm actually trying to accomplish with this app and the small differences with others. Thanks again.
About the hide icon feature, i've implemented a secret code at first but then realized not every device got a dialer app , so went with a remote command.
It's done and works ok, i'm just holding the update a bit cause i understand too frequent updates for an app like this can be a bit tricky due to the multi device tracking nature.
Will push it soon though.
If user will hide the icon then How will they open it? I mean it will be hidden. Short code will be awesome

In 2nd attachment showing that I excluded this app from battery optimization.
If you cant figure it out, maybe a logcat can help? I can try to get it if you want. This app is supercoll because my power button will be dead soon, so Im trying to use my power button lesser than before.

Such behavior indicates that something is killing Screenshot Assistant.
I've seen on the screenshot, that you're using Greenify. Make sure Screenshot Assistant is excluded from Greenify's hibernation.
On oneplus 3 you can take a long screenshot. If you have an article it can scroll down and capture more than just size of screen. Like doing a panoramic pic but vertically
Interesting. It works only in a browser or also in applications like Messenger or Phone contacts? Does it work with Google Chrome?
Can you add status bar and soft navigation bar in the screenshot?
Thank you very much!
I'm afraid I can't add status bar and navigation. The app receives screenshot from the system after you hold Home button. System sends it without status bar and navigation bars, so I don't have a control over it.

I have try some app but it can't take full screen as well...
Thank you. Keep going bro.
Doesn't working for me on LOS 14.1!
EDIT: Yes! Working now! All I had to do is change Long Press Setting on Buttons!
Btw, great app!
Works well on my Samsung Note 4.
Shame it can't be installed on my Samsung Tab S2 or Tab A tablets, it says device not compatible. Is there any reason why you prevent it from being installed on tablets?
Is there a way to disable the feature to answer calls by voice saying "answer"?
When receiving a call in full screen the "say answer" pill is covering the top of the screen

It's in Accessibility Settings/Voice Access
Also maybe consider blurring the number and name? Just saying.
Turned off but pill is still there

As a friendly FYI, you may want to edit your pic to remove your personal information for safety and privacy concerns.

You can turn off quick phrases for incoming calls to disable this. Go to Google Assistant settings and look for "Quick Phrases" and turn of the toggle for "Incoming Calls"

Thanks
OK, problem solved by turning off quick phrases fo incoming calls in assistant settings. yet, if I would like to use this feature I will have to live with the pill covering top of the incoming screen :-(
Can someone confirm this?

Yes, that is correct. This overlay is part of the Google Assistant Quick Phrases functionality.
I don't know why the overlay overlaps the caller details on your device because I don't have that issue. It's pretty non-intrusive on my device with the overlay displayed in the empty space between the call details and the caller photograph.

So, I have opted out of all beta apps and now I have
Google Phone 105.0.5349... (same as you)
Google Play Service 23.17.17 (newer than you)
Google App 14.20.11.29 (same as you)
And I am still getting the pill on top and not in the center.
I have also tried different screen setting, to no avail.
Do you have a Pixel 7 or 7 PRO?

The screenshot I uploaded above is from a Pixel 7 Pro. But I also have it displayed in the same area on a Pixel 6a.
I really don't know what to say...
Does anything else (3rd party) have phone permissions, or perhaps contacts?
Maybe there's something messing around with the stock overlay...
Don't know, is there s way to find all apps with overlay permission?
Even the alarm displays the pill on top

Yep, if you go to Settings -> Apps -> Special App Permissions -> Display Over Other Apps, you can get a full list of any requested and currently enabled.
This should be a pretty small set, particularly any phone app(s), typically only one or possibly a couple of helper apps, that you really trust, IME/IMO.
I tried this on my P7P, and I also do NOT see this issue (I have only 1 current phone-perms app, the Google phone app).
