It's in Accessibility Settings/Voice Access
Also maybe consider blurring the number and name? Just saying.
Turned off but pill is still there

As a friendly FYI, you may want to edit your pic to remove your personal information for safety and privacy concerns.

You can turn off quick phrases for incoming calls to disable this. Go to Google Assistant settings and look for "Quick Phrases" and turn of the toggle for "Incoming Calls"

OK, problem solved by turning off quick phrases fo incoming calls in assistant settings. yet, if I would like to use this feature I will have to live with the pill covering top of the incoming screen :-(
Can someone confirm this?

Yes, that is correct. This overlay is part of the Google Assistant Quick Phrases functionality.
I don't know why the overlay overlaps the caller details on your device because I don't have that issue. It's pretty non-intrusive on my device with the overlay displayed in the empty space between the call details and the caller photograph.

And I am still getting the pill on top and not in the center.
I have also tried different screen setting, to no avail.

The screenshot I uploaded above is from a Pixel 7 Pro. But I also have it displayed in the same area on a Pixel 6a.
I really don't know what to say...
Does anything else (3rd party) have phone permissions, or perhaps contacts?
Maybe there's something messing around with the stock overlay...
Don't know, is there s way to find all apps with overlay permission?
Even the alarm displays the pill on top

Yep, if you go to Settings -> Apps -> Special App Permissions -> Display Over Other Apps, you can get a full list of any requested and currently enabled.
This should be a pretty small set, particularly any phone app(s), typically only one or possibly a couple of helper apps, that you really trust, IME/IMO.
I tried this on my P7P, and I also do NOT see this issue (I have only 1 current phone-perms app, the Google phone app).

Hi everybody
Do you guys know a way to deactivate the annoying pop up view ? Because everytime I wants to access my notification bar, the popup view thing shrink down the app I'm using and it's pretty frustrating
+1. I've been having the same issue.
+1 same here, you would think they added a possibility to turn this off but I haven't found it yet.
+1 for this... still haven't figured it out, would love to know if anybody else has.
What do you mean by pop up view? The giant quick buttons with brighness bar and sfinder/quickconnect? That thing bothers the hell out of me, it takes 1/3 of the screen. Also hate that you can't double click the notification boxes on the lock screen.
Sorry. Replied to quick based on title..
Similar description but different issue.
No, not that either. Pop-up view is when you drag down diagonally from the top right corner of the screen to make an app shrink down to a floating window.
looking through some other samsung touchwiz phone forums recently and it seems that there isn't a way to turn it off.
It's called MultiWindow and it is, in fact, annoying as ****.

Bump. I hate it. Thinking of even getting rid of this phone.
I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung’s MultiWindow feature. Look for “MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung” on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nerd.multiwindowtoggle

In describing the behavior earlier in the thread, someone said "Pop-up view is when you drag down diagonally from the top right corner of the screen to make an app shrink down to a floating window. ". This application permits you to turn off that feature/behavior.
I believe that multi window, split screen and pop-up views are all part of the same feature. See Samsung's description of the feature in their SDK: http://developer.samsung.com/galaxy#multiwindow
The two features are definitely similar and related, but they are also distinctly different.

I apologize that the name for the application isn't specific enough. Regardless, it should disable the feature that includes the multi-window and pop-up behaviors.

Yes. It disables both. The application disables MultiWindow mode, which the popup behavior is part of. My reply was in response to the original poster who was looking for a way to disable the popup behavior that occurs when you try dragging down the notification bar. I believe the application addresses that undesirable behavior. I am sorry the application doesn't give you the control you want. If time permits, I will see if finer control over the behavior is available.

Such behavior indicates that something is killing Screenshot Assistant.
I've seen on the screenshot, that you're using Greenify. Make sure Screenshot Assistant is excluded from Greenify's hibernation.
On oneplus 3 you can take a long screenshot. If you have an article it can scroll down and capture more than just size of screen. Like doing a panoramic pic but vertically
Interesting. It works only in a browser or also in applications like Messenger or Phone contacts? Does it work with Google Chrome?
Can you add status bar and soft navigation bar in the screenshot?
Thank you very much!
I'm afraid I can't add status bar and navigation. The app receives screenshot from the system after you hold Home button. System sends it without status bar and navigation bars, so I don't have a control over it.

I know this is an older thread but I just wanted to see if there is any way around this. I appreciate the sentiment and like that it's on by default but to be completely unable to disable it on a per app basis seems a bit of an overstep. Yet another example of Google (perhaps OnePlus is partly to blame here too) not trusting users to be intelligent enough to make decisions regarding their privacy.
As for the quoted answer, it may have been possible at one point but now when you navigate to Settings>Apps & Notification>Show All Applications>Show system>System>Notifications, "Privacy Alerts" is greyed out and cannot be modified.
Again, I'm generally for this measure but it's popping up while I'm using projectM music visualizer which obviously detracts from the experience.
Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!

Google App sends countless number of Weather notifications per day.
There's no weather category in Google App notifications (just "Misc", "Assistant..", "Data download notification channel").
App Notification settings just opens system notification configuration window.
Year or two old guides have such screens. But I couldn't find that in Android 12 nor in 13.

Apparently it's there. Thanks!!!!
Can you please help me with that? I have looked everywhere...I only have 3 categories as the thread starter bat0nas already noticed. Long pressing the notification also brings me to the same place. I'm on the S23 Ultra as well and can't find this either. If you're referring to App Notifications, then no, that's Samsung's weather app. The only option I can do at the moment is disable Google notifications entirely which is not an ideal solution.

My S23 Ultra has also the same issue. I only can disable 3 categories, but weather updates isn't one of the categories. So for now I disabled all Google alerts. Not the best solution, because I still want alerts for security and my account.
Someone with a solution? Is this a bug? Waiting for an update? ...?
@FYL21 is the Google app multiple times "pending" in the Google Play Store? I saw this a couple of times. But it's strange, because the app is up2date.
Maybe the Google app is corrupt and this is the reason we only see 3 alert categories?

Strange, on my S23U I also see that the Google app is pending download in the Play Store.
It stays pending on 0 B. But the app is up2date.
Same thing can't find the setting on S23 Ultra. I use Today Weather and tired of duplicate notifications
Google uses to track you. So disable the whole thing.

I like some of the other notifications.
So this was driving me crazy on my new S23+. Like others said above, all the notification categories were missing about an hour ago.
And now all of a sudden they're here and I can shut off the weather specific ones
Now I see 2 categories more. I see 2 extra alert for the Assistent. So now I have 5 categories.
But still I can't shut off the weather alerts. Pffff.

I'm on the S23 Ultra as well and can't find this either. If you're referring to App Notifications, then no, that's Samsung's weather app. The only option I can do at the moment is disable Google notifications entirely which is not an ideal solution.

Post a screenshot.
*My phone in French but if you go in :
Settings
Applications
Search for Google and open it.
Go in Notifications
At the bottom you should see Category Notifications or something similar.
You should see all the Notifications related to Google. You'll fing Weather, etc.
If you don't, then I don't know. I don’t have an S23. But I doubt it's any different than the S22 series.

Maybe try to clear the data for the Google app
