Has anyone else experienced this problem? Just noticed that I haven't received anything in over 49 hours unless it's an RCS message. Worked fine for the first week and essentially randomly it stopped. I've clear cache and storage. Reset network settings. And finally did a hard reset of the phone without a resolution. Spent 2 hours on the phone with tmobile and they were unable to help.

I've been having an issue where my incoming calls are sent directly to my voicemail. It happens about 70% of the time, and its incredibly frustrating. I went into a Sprint store and they performed a firmware update, and it seemed to fix the problem for a couple weeks, but its back again. I've tried searching but havent been able to find anything.
A Sprint employee told me that Android phones require a couple seconds to "completely" hang up. Not sure that the issue though. My area is 1x, phone is in Hybrid Mode and the feature to automatically send to voicemail is disabled.
Any ideas? Anyone else having this problem?
I am having the exact same issue; and I've noticed it has gotten worse over the last week. I'm not in a 3g area, and I notice it happens more frequently if I've been surfing the web or using data.
do you guys/gals experience this in one particular area? meaning it o only happens at home? seems like your phones might not be getting service and the calls get sent straight to voicemail.
Since CDMA cannot handle voice and data at the same time you may notice calls going straight to voice mail if you've been browsing or using data. The call may never come through if you happen to be using data at the exact time a voice call is coming through...
check settings/call settings and make sure DDTM mode is not checked

mine seems to be more or less random. I usually have solid signal; and I've had people tell me they called four or five times and the first ones went right to voicemail and then one randomly gets through. In these cases I KNOW I haven't moved my phone...

This is true, however, the device is smart enough to know when to cut the data connection if a call is coming in.
I got a replacement device yesterday, seems to be working fine now.

This is exactly what I was experiencing, also in solid 1x coverage. I would recommend going to a Sprint store and asking for a replacement. They replaced mine with no questions asked when the Rep tried to place a call to my phone unsuccessfully in the store.

maybe i'll pop down to my sprint store today then...
I did an ODIN flashed Gummy_GBE1.9RC1 Rom and then did a CWR flash of the MinimalGummyGBv2.0 theme over. When I went to My Verizon to switch over from my Incredible 2 to my Charge but only the SIM card registered. So now I can access 4G and get online but I can't make phone calls or send SMS/MMS over 1X or 3G.
I called Verizon they said play the waiting game. I've waited for 24 hours, activated my Incredibe again (successfully) then tried the Charge again, multiple times, (different SIMs) with no prevail, still only recieving 4G.
I just flashed the EP1W modem, and got the same results as before...
VZW then suggested a wipe... Took so long to get it the way I wanted it. lol
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or heard about it before?

I don't quite understand what's going on here with the My Verizon and and Incredible 2?? you had a Charge that you flashed all that to and then tried to switch phones?
When I was first starting with flashing I accidently checked "EFS CLEAR" once. That was real interesting, it caused me to lose all data services like net connection, but still let me make phone calls. I find it very interesting that your problem seems to be the complete opposite. I figured that one out after a while, but if your problem is with phone calls and texts with data working I don't think my solution would help you.
IMO you should just suck it up and odin back to stock, including the charge.pit file, and see if the problem remains.

if nothing's working you may want to follow kamikazemikes option below and get to EE4 stock and have VZ give you a new 4G sim card or a replacement phone... it happens a lot so you shouldn't have a problem doing that

When I first got my charge I wasn't able to send messages. I restarted mt phone and it fixed the problem. Idk if that will help or not bit it's with a shot if you haven't yet.

Well, turns out it just needed a *22899 :-( of course I figured this out after wiping and reinstalling the ROM. Getting and making phone calls but I can't text over 1X... lol Always something.

Hey, my girlfriend got a LG optimus Hub phone, like 3 months ago. It was all working fine until like a week before. Once in a while there comes this problem that she can't receive any sms, but she can still send me an sms. When she takes out the sim card and puts it into another phone, all the sms i've sent she receives then. And then when puts the sim back in her phone, she can receive the sms. And then it works fine for like a day, and then the problem starts all over.. What could it be? How to fix it?
Oh, and btw, it's the stock ROM and the phone has only been rooted, nothing else.

She's on Tele 2, that's the most popular carrier in Latvia.
Btw, what's towers update? 0.o
In the states you are able to type in a code (usually the same number used for activation) and it will just reconfigure to the cell towers in your area.

Oh no, that's not the case here. We don't really need an activation code here, too. So that's something different.. :/ It happened today, like 2 hours ago, again. We had to put the sim card in another phone and after like 20 mins, we got all the SMS. Then when put the sim back in the LG, it works again. But this happens like everyday. :/ The incoming messages just get stuck, but she can still send them. :/
On some sms/mms stock apps there are settings that if checked can block all outgoing and or incoming sms and mms messages. Check the settings of the app itself and if all else fails there are some really good free 3rd party messaging apps available as a replacement.

Have you applied any updates recently? A buddy of mine installed a carrier update and it made his phone go all wonky. I would suggest backing up her data and doing a factory reset. Factory resets usually always fix software issues like what you're experiencing... Also if you do a backup, start from scratch don't restore any data from the backup as you don't know what is triggering the issue....
It's not the messaging apps fault, that's for sure. Checked that one like tons of times, and tried out other apps, the problem always shows up.
Well I guess that I'll just have to do a factory reset. :/ But could it maybe fix it, by installing another ROM? Like Optimus HUB has an official support for CM7.

I've heard somewhere about something that SIM cards can get old and then this thing happens when they sometimes get stuck and you can't receive sms.
So yeah, my girlfriends SIM is like 5 years old, could that really be the problem?
So, i told my GF to go and ask for a new SIMcard, and that fixed the problem. Basically it was just too old SIM. Im just saying if anyone gets the same problem.
My phone was working 100% normally, it died and i let it charge. I was not having any issue sending or using cell data, but realized I could not make any calls... or receive them. I have factory reset, flashed a new modem.... I have NO IDEA how to fix the issue or what caused it.
Any tips or suggestions or remedies would be AMAZING because I dont have the ability to call or get calls as of now.

Are you still on sprint or is thisndevice unlocked for another carrier?
So I bought a U1, got a new Metro acct yesterday and they got me up and running and everything worked great, including 5g.
Was setting up the E911 address and the call I was on dropped, and I can no longer get texts or calls, in either direction. Data works fine. Customer Service can't verify me because I can't get their text. The store is blaming it on the phone because they saw a reddit post from another user with no calling / texts also, but he's on ATT.
Anyone have any ideas? They are telling me it's a phone issue, but it was working just fine until I used their app to do my E911 address. They want me to factory reset

Had the same thing happen went to 7 different stores to get it straitened out. Go to a store tell them to suspend your service on that phone then re enable it. It should be a simple thing for them to figure it out but the stores are clueless it has an option on there computer for customer request to suspend the service. I had metro and switched my phone Wednesday and didn't get it fixed till today. The girl who fixed it knew exactly what was going on and says its a trick they use every now and then.

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. These guys are insisting its my phone. Factory reset and now I'm looked out of my password manager, everything.
The store was like its your phone, you need to factory reset it. Customer service wants to text me a OTP to work on my phone. I'm like dude, I can't recieve texts! They can't turn off the E911 without it.
Thanks again! Dude looked at me like I was insane and goes "thats not gonna work" and I'm like can you just try it? As soon as it reactivated, I got like 50 texts all at once..... all problems solved!
