Tools required to edit an android firmware? (Samsung)

Hello everyone,
I have got few android firmware of samsung devices with me and I want to tinker with the files so that i can modify it as per my needs. But all I see .bin, .ffs etc. files in there. Do I need some special tools to edit those?

Hy Folks!!!
I bought a Mid tablet 2 days ago It's a sun4i CRANE-A721 and has an Allwinner A10 cpu with android 4.0.4
I found the original firmware, an .img file,
I want to modify it but 7zip and winrar gave me an error.. how can i modify it ?? i want to cook a room based on this firmware.
Suggestion??

a) did You try to re-download the *.img?
or
b) update the 7zip You used?

it looks like our devices based on this image(s):
LY-F1S
the third image reveals the back with the exact opening mine has (mine has a "QUART" as the "brand")

[Q] How to flash boot.img to AMLogic aml8726-mx TV BOX

Hi all
Ive managed to flash new firmware to my Android Tv box and am now looking to update it further.
Found a script which is supposed to be very good but i have no idea how to get it to run on the box

Thread above has a link to the .img file and links to scripts to add the image file but i cannot figure out how to do it.
Anyone either give me a step by step guide or point me to where i might find one?

How to convert .img.lz4 into .img file?

I was trying to build my own custom ROM for j7 2016. Inside of stock ROM there are files with extensions .img.lz4 so how can I convert them into .img. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.
Android kitchen was unable to detect .img.lz4 files. Is there any way to make them detect?

I've tried multiple way of getting settings.new.dat.br file extracted but to no luck
I need a extracter
And recompiler
And update zip maker
(from the pure basic of what I can look at and say I'd need before modifying the rom)
