Hello All,
I have a chinese Android phone model e1060 running 2.2.1 I can't tell you what make it is because I don't know !!! It has a built in QWERTY keyboard
that I want to change how it works. I have read that I have to modify the .bin
file in the /system/usr/keychars directory, but there are 3 files, mt6516-kpd.kcm.bin qwerty.kcm.bin and qwerty2.kcm.bin I have already rooted
the phone. Is there a way to determine which of these files I need to modify?
Thanks in advance,
Dave.
Dear comunity,
is anyone here who can tell me how to find out which files are necessary for a uncertain apk?
This question might look strange but I'm asking because I try to get an apk from a 4.0.x firmware to a 4.1.x and it doesn't work.
The apk I'm talking about is the Snote.apk from the N8010 device and this apk needs a lot of lib's and other fils to run.
So to get it run on other firmwares I need e.g. a tool that shows me which files are in cooperate with Snote. Or otherwise in which file into the apk are these information written?
This question might be helpfully for all android-users who want to find out which files are needed for an apk they want to port.
Thank you
Hello
I own a Chinese phone with a lot of unneeded applications.
Fortunately, the maker has given the .zip software to flash it.
I'm able to open and mount on my Ubuntu computer the .img files and I can see the .apk I would remove. So far so good.
But I bet it is not that easy....
I've tried searching but all I can find is for flashing back the ROM and not about making it.
I would also like to add an su binary at the correct place ...
So I would like to find some documentation for packing back the software and flash it to the device. An How TO would be great and/or some documentation about the process.
Many thanks in advance for your help !
Hi all,
I would like to gain a bit deeper understanding of how LOS is working in terms of actual phone function. I'm pretty sure that the following is only the tip of the iceberg, but with the stock ROM, for example on a Sony Z5C, there is a folder
/system/etc/customization/modem
that contains .mbn files for various providers and a folder
/system/priv-app/CarrierConfig
that contains a corresponding .apk file.
Now for example in LOS17.1, the first folder (or similar files) do not exist and the second one is called CarrierSetup with a corresponding .apk file. I assume the latter .apk is responsible for some sort of generic carrier configuration, but how does that work? Is it hard coded in the .apk, or is there some generic configuration file somewhere? And: How can I find out, what configuration is currently used and what bands are available?
Any helpful answers or references to further info are welcome!
Cheers,

Hi guys I have a Chinese android tv that I am trying to root, I am trying to unpack the firmware allupgrade_v553_8G_1G.bin. It is not mstar firmware, build.prop say Google/fingerprint=google/shamu/shamu:7.1.1/N8I11B/4171878. If I use binwalk I get a 25Gig folder. Any help will be highly appreciated....
