Question Too saturated colors on custom - Realme GT Neo 2

Hello !
I've already talked about this on the Project Elixir thread but I don't feel like there's really any progress on it.
I'm on Evolution X and once again, the colors are way too saturated, even in natural mode (which is the same setting as in adaptive)
I don't understand this problem which doesn't seem to bother people I have the impression...
Is this an AOSP issue? It's really annoying because otherwise the rom is really perfect, the author really did a great job for us but it's really difficult with a screen like that....
Thanks

Yes Colors are indeed too sharp and saturated in Custom ROM's
It must be due to wrongly calibrated value of screen

Use terminal with root
service call SurfaceFlinger 1022 f 1
With value run from 0 - 2
You can set it like
service call SurfaceFlinger 1022 f 0.985

Really ?! Is it good ?!

It's working on every phone I've ever test including realme

Is it better to Kcal saturation setting ? Unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problem. Unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problem.

It has nothing to do with KCAL. Non KCAL kernel support it even Samsung's exynos
It's literally an open Android API

Camera Blur Gone - Simple Fix

By simply changing the brightness level to -2.0 you will no longer have a blur - it's like changing the ISO on a camera and the FPS will jump by over 50%. check it out in full here: http://www.fuzemobility.com/decrease-the-blur-of-your-camera-really/
Very noice...I'm flashing a new rom and will try these when setup. Thanks

Agreed- It''s so freaking obvious once you think about it A simple change and suddenly the camera is functional...I'm just happy I can take photos of my son without that streak of his arm moving...
Man this camera and video camera is so much better now. It's pretty sad to say that this is getting almost as good of quality as my new Nikon Coolpix S550
perfect, just perfect
Thank you.

try to enable the frame rate (it's in the registry and detailed on the fuzemobility link in the first post) and tell me if you see a change in frame rate if you don't mind. It should be most significant in dim settings - bright light shouldn't have a blur without tweaks...
Thank you! This should be made sticky!

[REQ] Custom Brightness Levels in Power Control

I was wondering if it would be possible to change the preset levels that are in Power Control. I prefer my brightness in the early morning to be just slightly on but power control goes pretty bright on just its first setting(not including off). If there where a way to edit the presets that are in the app I think it would be pretty cool. I'm sure its just a matter of changing a couple values but I havent messed with coding since I had a SideKick 3 and studied a little J2ME so I dont really think I could handle the task, not to mention I dont have any software development software on my current computer.
I'd like to see something like this too.
I use bedside pro as my alarm clock and bedside clock but annoys me I can only go to 10% brightness as its a little to bright. First phone I've ever owned that's meant to be advanced compared to say my old SE k300I but even that is capable of it!
Just like groups, can't have it so only people in a group can phone me yet **** my old old old nokia 5110 could.
Progress huh
Seems like people love to run their displays much too bright...
Also would like to see a way to set the brightnesses for the power control widget.
+1 tenchar
i also made a thread about display dimming in q&a but somehow ppl arent very interested. the only thing i can say/contribute is that in the old times when cupcake hero roms where up to date and somthing special: you could set the brightness MUCH darker in hero roms than in normal. no idea y but perhaps a lil bit smarter person can have a look at it
Change brightness would you use my Rom OpenRemix if I had a go at changing the preset brightness levels or adding more? XD

Well thank you kindly fella, if you need a willing test victim for your rom just give me a shout. Always willing to help a new dev out, I don't have any developing skills but understand what is required of a test victim and can use logcat

Just sending the brightness mod to someone now to see if it is working XD
Good news. How is this going to be implemented, through an "update.zip"?

Did you know that the Eclair's power control widget only turns of autosync while Donut's version disables background data as well?
Maybe comparing both helps to find the needed property.

scrolling fix

A lot of us have faced some blur or sort of scrolling irregularity on android P. It isn't very noticeable but exists. If u copy the following to root/system/build. prop, and reboot, you will notice some improvements. Actually im pretty sure it fixed it. Additionally, if anyone knows what the signal cheat i have in my screenshot does please let me know. Dunno if placebo effect but i have had better LTE all day since adding that. These are from the op6 latest P dev preview..

Awesome, thats a great idea
Is this basically the same thing as screen smoothness on Oreo-based custom ROM's (under settings>system) or would it further help with scrolling on Oreo? I haven't tried out P yet.

Dont know depends on if the feature is included inside the oreo source, i think it is just for the shakiness of scrolling in P and the google devs added this to correct it for the one plus 6 latest P preview.. make a backup and try.
I dunno if placebo but it does seem less janky to me. Thanks op!!

Is this to help the screen jittering or the sporadic lag spikes I'm getting on p?

updated to new magisk template, enjoy
Don't recommend that signal mod, it really wrecked my signal and gave me a qcom_rx wakelock. Could be my area or carrier though

Hmm would make sense that it is only helpful in areas where signal is weak. Where it is strong it could mess it up
Here's what the new messages app looks like in full material 2.. as much as i could get working my substratum screwed up the lines in between each contact. I think..Yes, this has nothing to do with anything but it has potential.
Oh shoot

Hey there,
So far I tried derp, pixelex., Nameless and Cr droid without any luck.it seems that the aod is kind of broken on all of them, it works sometimes and sometimes not, I could not figure it out.
Also they are all bit stable enough for me, to much hickups, but that is just my opinion.
Greetings

Thanks for the reply. Finally someone. I tested a few too and there is not one that has dt2w on the aod working. The rest works Just fine, at least considering my daily use.

Question ported roms

I tried ALL custom rom, nothing that I liked.
I wanna try some ported roms but I didn't find any beside RUI 4.0 and ColorOS 12.1, is there any?
What do you expect from a rom?
I'm on Project Elixir and the rom is almost perfect I think

No, there are still a lot of problems I think.
(Saturation 1000%, ****ty camera, Fingerprint basically never working..)
I want something with new features, everyone says "it's not just another pixel rom" when in fact, it is.

For saturation, I made a subject on it which solves the problem.
For the camera, not a problem for me I hardly ever use it and that of the Neo 2 is really not great
Problem with the fingerprint sensor? Mine works perfectly on Elixir

The real problem is, why whould I use a rom that it needs a repair for daily use?

Because it's a custom, it's rarely perfect. Personally, I don't mind running a line of code (which I saved to the clipboard) when the phone boots.
At least I can have a pure Android 13
If you're rooted, download smartpack kernel manager from fdroid and change saturation intensity according to your preference
