Question Solution Wifi P50 Pro - Huawei P50 Pro

Is there a definite solution for the WIFI problem on the P50 Pro, whether it is the EMUI or HARMONY system? I have tried with EMUI 12.0.1.256 and with Harmony 2.0.197

​This problem is because Huawei P50 pro doesn't support 2.4 Ghz frequency , why! the problem with hardware not software its may be factory issue, so to fix your problem you need to connect your phone on 5Ghz frequency WiFi, which is need your home AP or router WiFi support this feature. mostly this feature is on new modern router or AP so yes, you need to change your old router or buy additinal modern AP connect it to your router.​​​see the pictures ... change DNS setting in huawei p50 pro, works for me. no need change router that supports 5GHz

actually, two days after change DNS setting, i still got wifi issues.
yesterday, i've got EMUI update to 12.0.1.286 . everything seems fine till now. i hope there will be no wifi issues again

[APP][4.0+] Anti Krack Vulnerability Mitigation Tool

Hello.
I've created a app to mitigate the new krack vulnerability and other MITM attacks like evil twin, etc.
This is just a mitigation tool, if you can get a update in your phone do it.
The app requeriments are:
1 - A fixed ip on your phone (Or a static dhcp lease).
2 - A fixed wifi channel.
3 - A local check URL, on your router If you use OpenWRT/LEDE/DD-WRT or anything where you can write to the web root, is just a
html accessible via a local URL with a long and random text.
If not you can use your router local admin web site (usually 192.168.1.1) or anything on your local network that
generates a static text.
4 - Android 4.0+ (I don't test with lower versions , but you can edit the source code.. )
The app will check your SSID, BSSID, Your Local IP, The Network Mask, The Gateway, The DNS Servers, The Wifi Channel Frequency (Only on android 5.0+), And The Text On The Check URL.
if any of that is not equal to the saved profiles it will turn your wifi off and give you a notification.
The app will do checks everytime a network status change is done, when you turn on your screen,
when you connect disconnect your charger and every 60 seconds is the service is alive.

Edit: found out why the zip looks like it broke. My zip extractor was broken. It couldn't recognize the compression. my bad.

Android 10 update kills Daydream compatibility

Just like that, without any notice or warning, Daydream no longer works on my S9+.
The same applies to S9 and Note 9, which used to be perfectly compatible with Daydream, but now all you get is this:

Note that the scene behind this dialog window is actually perfectly rendered, and the phone itself is using the "low motion-blur" screen mode.
The problem is, in Android 8 and Android 9, these phones have defined a system flag "android.hardware.vr.high_performance", which is no longer defined on Android 10.
This is a Samsung-specific problem, as Pixel phones running Android 10 can still use Daydream perfectly (as reported in this Reddit thread).
Another ****ing moronic screw up of Samsung devs... did you post on their forum and report this via Samsung members ?
I did report via Samsung Members, and their first response was: "We don't actually develop the Daydream app. We'd recommend contacting the developers of the app, so that they can begin implementing a fix.". Disappointing to say the least.
I've followed up with some technical details (mentioned the same system flag), let's see if that helps.

Isnt daydream a google developed service? Maybe they didnt update their app for the update pushed to our devices?

The app version doesn't matter: if it detects that the device doesn't specify the particular hardware flag I've mentioned, it won't run.
Samsung has removed this flag in Android 10 for some reason. All they need to do is to add
Code:
<feature name="android.software.vr.mode" />
<feature name="android.hardware.vr.high_performance" />
to /system/etc/permissions/handheld_core_hardware.xml, and it will work again. Google can't do it for them...
Typical Samsung... The support doesn't even ****ing read the messages !

Maybe if you send another message on Members just mentioning that they missed the flags (I mean keeping it short), maybe the support will actually pass it on to dev team ?
Maybe also don't mention daydream so it won't confuse the support with another app and a third party developer ?

Latest crDroid and some Magisk/Encryption issues

I have been trying a few Android 10 ROMS and getting same issues. At first I though it was VoLTE as it is not supported in UAE. So I ended up with crDroid ROM. But the issues are the same:
SIM one always show as disconnected and SMS and calls revert to SIM 2 and I have to manually set to SIM 1. Calls are working and so is SMS and Data
I cannot encrypt my phone. Encryption starts and immediately phone reboots
Magisk in showing the Hide option. I cannot hide any applications
Magisk is failing security checks:

I followed the instruction to the letter. I did multiple formats. I allowed Newflasher with base official ROM from XperiFirm every time. I might have lost my camera DRM keys I think. Didn't know it was a thing before it was too late.
Have I asked a very basic or silly question? Not a single response so far... I'm at a stage where I have to revert to stock Android 9. If I made a rookie mistake, please point it out.

External app mic very quiet

When using apps like Snapchat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger etc. the microphone is very quiet and the other person struggles to hear me. It seems like them apps are only using the bottom microphone. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

This problem was also present in ColorOS 7, unfortunately I don't think Oppo will fix it any time soon unless we can bring it to their attention
Same problem. When I switch phones, my friends says its a big difference. Oppo being the quiet one.

[CLOSED] Mi 10 Ultra - New Display - Fingerprint calibration issue (under-display) - 1001 Out of memory

Hi,
I broke the screen of my beloved Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, bought a new one from china, waited a couple of weeks, got the new display, gave it to a local repair shop to change it. Got the phone back.
I knew that the under-display fingerprint sensor must be calibrated, so I went to Settings - My Device - All specs, clicked a couple of times on the kernel version, got into the CIT menu, found the "fod fingerprint calibration" tool under "additional tools".
When trying to calibrate (I saw a couple of forum threads about this calibration in general) I get the error messages:
1. 1513 High brightness incorrect - I think that's a general one that indicates I am not doing it correctly. Many people in the threads I read have the same issue and have explained ways to avoid it.
2. 1001 Out of memory - whenever I do everything right, just like explained, I get this message.
Is the partition where this info is stored out of memory? What is the problem, what should I do?
I have an unlocked bootloader, the latest version of a xiaomi.eu ROM (12.5.8 stable), non-rooted phone.
