Yesterday, I replaced my Huawei P30 Pro with Xiaomi 12S Ultra and experienced text message issue.
1. Use Google messages and it didn't work at all. Checked and it said unable to read the SIM card.
2. Use Xiaomi system Messaging, I could send text to my friend's phone but I couldn't receive the message from him. However, his message was received by my old Huawei phone without a SIM card. My new Xiaomi could receive text messages from some phone numbers.
Does anyone know the issue?
Thanks,
Roger

Hi all,
My Mate 9 (MHA-L29C432B138 bought in Germany) works perfectly with regards to notifications from my daily apps, like Emails (Standard Huawei app and Nine) and WhatsApp.
But I noticed the following:
I checked the automatic screen activation for emails and WhatsApp and it works only partially. For email it works always, even when only one email had arrived but for Whatsapp the screen will only be activated when there are at least two messages. In other words, when someone sends one message, the sound appears but the screen remains black, and when someone (the same or somebody else) sends a second message, the screen will be activated with both messages...
Does anybody have the same problem?
Best,
Lars
Yes, I have exactly the same problem. A workaround is to use popup notifications in WhatsApp. Then the screen will be activated always when you receive a message. But another solution to this problem would make me happier...
Gone since the 190 update!

Hello everyone,
My Samsung Galaxy A32 5G phone does not receive any text messages from any of my contacts. It does, however, receive text messages from T-Mobile. I put a different sim card in this phone and the result was the same. I also purchased another Galaxy A32 phone and it also fails to receive text messages that my friends and relatives send me. If I remove the sim card from the Galaxy A32 and put it in my old phone (Moto X4), then the text messages go through.
Does anybody have any idea of what might be happening here? I tried switching sim cards, resetting network settings, restoring factory defaults, and changing APN settings, but to no avail.

Have you try a different messaging app to see if that resolves the issue?

Did you disable RCS if you had it enabled on the X4?
Thank you for the replies.

I never had it enabled.
I am now noticing a pattern - my Samsung A32 5G phones appear to not receive text messages from older phones only, such as Samsung Galaxy 6, Moto X4, Nokia 6.1, LG Journey LTE, etc. Both Galaxy A32 phones have no problems receiving text messages from iPhone 12, OnePlus 9, and T-Mobile.
I have two (work & personal) Blu G90 Pro which I believe are fantastic values bought on Amazon for <USD 200. My SP is AT&T and these are Volte compatible but not white listed so something will have to give. My problem is after recently applying security update BLU_G0370WW_V10. 0.04.05_GENERIC on ONE of them, ordinary Google SMS messages are "Not Sent". Sending MMS, sending "Chat", and receiving all messages work fine. All online fixes short of factory reset tried - no luck. All APN and mobile network *#*#4636#*#* settings same on both phones. Tried different SMS app - same symptoms. Swapped SIM/SD cards and problem follows phone. Wondering/warning if anyone experienced this and found a fix?

Follow up to initial post. As noted, the second phone, for which the referenced update had not yet been run, has had no problems with SMS - or anything else. (Still an undervalued, highly recommended phone). Today the update ran on this second phone and the exact same problem immediately manifested - it cannot send plain SMS text. No problems receiving and no problems sending MMS texts.
I tried several times to post this issue on the Blu support site and after filling out the form (including color of phone which is Purple Haze and not in the dropdown) it would not accept my post with no form errors. So I am posting here.
Hi,
I purchased a refurbished Note 10 Plus 5G. Been happy with it so far. But had some issues receiving text messages.
My phone does not have an option to enter a service centre number. I spent a while with O2 helping me trouble shoot. After trying everything else I could find online. It seems like in settings>more settings within the custom messages app that there is no option for this. Also th shortcut to get the number (*#*#4636#*#*) does not work either.
Interestingly when I put my sim in an old phone the old texts which were not received came straight through on my old mobile. Since then I seem to be able to receive some messages (but concerned the issue could return and the phone will not be able to be refunded). Particularly as the menu system online to enter the text service number is still not available.
Is my phone faulty? Or is this others have experienced.
Thanks.

I am able to send text messages, and make and receive calls with no issues.
I also do not have the option to request read receipts (I don't need this, but may be relevant to the issue).
