Question Failed bootloader relock - Motorola Moto G100 / Edge S

Hello beautiful people of the internet!
I am in dire need of some help - today's morning I did the unthinkable and locked myself out of my phone once again, only this time I'm clueless how to fix what I have broken.
So i tried to lock the bootloader with fastboot oem lock and after I did, I got the "No valid operating system could be found" .
So now I'm stuck without any system to boot and flashing locked, and recovery doesn't exist either.
Is there anything I can do to fix it? I feel like I'm running out of ideas at this point.....
Thanks in advance!

The way to recover it is to flash it with an octuplus type box or another similar one. This can be done remotely, something similar happened to me with an LG and a Ukrainian repaired it for 10 or 15 dollars. Ask in the telegram group in case they know someone

I've been struggling to get mine working again, I'm at the point I need to remove an EM shield to pull a specific pin to ground to get to EDL mode...
Did you disable "OEM Unlock" in the Android developers settings? If you didn't, and since it's a Motorola, you can unlock your bootloader again with fastboot oem unlock <UNIQUE_CODE>.
(Side-note, it is a wonder why it's at all possible to lock the bootloader again without making sure "OEM Unlock" is enabled in case something goes horribly wrong and you can't do anything anymore with perfectly working hardware, forcing people to get to EDL mode, mode that is made less and less accessible over time. "OEM Unlock" should never be allowed to be turned off if the bootloader is unlocked.)

Pretty sure your problems are stemming from the use of fastboot oem lock, instead of fastboot flashing lock...
You can relock the bootloader, but only with fastboot flashing lock, as far as i know.
The moral of (my) story is, dont unlock if you want to relock later, the forum is littered with similar cases to this one sadly.

fastboot oem unlock goes to lock after reboot

I have a Nexus 5 that I purchased from Ebay, and I'm trying to flash stock krt16m to get the device working.
Here are some things that I've noticed:
When I fastboot oem unlock, I will see the lock state change to unlock, but then when I execute fastboot reboot-bootloader, the lock state after reboot will show locked.
This presents a problem when trying to run the script flash-all.sh because upon reboot of the boot-loader I'm unable to flash other images. So, I modified the script to do the following:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-hammerhead-HHZ11d.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
sleep 10
fastboot flash radio radio-hammerhead-M8974A-1.0.25.0.17.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
sleep 10
fastboot -w update image-hammerhead-krt16m.zip
so that I could change the lock state to unlocked after every reboot before flashing the next image.
This succeeds, but when the Nexus 5 boots, it gets stuck in an 'X' boot loop. Sometimes I see messages like Unfortunately google.process.gapps failed, or similar. I'll also get into X boot loops where I don't get error messages, but I do get messages like, "Starting apps" and similar.
I tried factory reset/wipe in recovery mode, to no avail. I get error messages like, "failed to mount cache".
I tried flashing the stock cache, then formatting it, to no avail.
I also tried to sideload the stock images with adb when in recovery mode. Also to no avail.
The Ebay listing didn't give much information, but it did mention that this was a T-Mobile Nexus 5.
Help me! What else can I do?
Sounds like a nand failure. The boot loader staying locked is a key indicator of that. There's not really much more you can do.

Just to be clear, we're talking about the part: Sandisk SDIN8DE4 16 GB NAND flash?
Is there anyway that I can prove it's bad, besides the bootloader not staying in an unlocked state?

The bootloader and the fact that you can't format anything are key signs. It's happened quite a few times on the N5 and I'm not aware of anyone who was able to fix it. Keep in mind I don't have the device in my hand but the symptoms you are describing are those of a bad nand.
I'd also vote for a corrupted NAND (As far as I remember, in the best situation the only way to fix a bad NAND is to power cycle it again.. and good luck doing that.. in the worst its just dead.). You bought a broken phone .
Also you don't need much more: If after rebooting the NAND is in the previous state, whatever you do, the NAND is broken.
Yes, your eMMC is definitely dead/damaged. It has happened to a few people, and it was the exact same every time. RMA or send in for repairs.
No one is going to "fix" the eMMC itself, not even LG, as it isn't worth the effort nor cost to do so. Any repair job will simply be a motherboard swap.

[Q] Bootloader unlock disclaimer not showing

I have a HTC One MIni that is stock in a fastboot loop every time I turn it on. I can't get any option from bootloader to work. So after doing some reading here I was going to unlock the phone and try to fix it but I can't unlock the phone. So fastboot was able to get the code and I went to htdev and get the unlock.bin file and I can run it with fastboot and it says it is all good but the disclaimer that it is supposed to come up after this on the phone, never comes up. I thought maybe restarting it would show it is unlocked but no luck. So I'm stuck with the phone only booting on fastboot mode and not being able to unlock it and therefore can't install anything to fix it. Is there a way I can fix it?
Thank you

[HELP] Softbrick due to FRP Lock?

Hi there,
apparently I screwed something up while trying to prepare my 6X for Lineage
I did the OEM unlock but FRP Lock is still active and somehow this prevents me from doing anything else.
The combination of problems seems quite special, I've found (and tried) a lots of tipps for softbricked devices here but unfortunately none of them worked for me.
When restarting I get the warning that the device is not secure and will boot now - however it is stuck on "booting now" until the battery is drained.
It starts into Android when charged again but on every restart it will be stuck again.
When in "booting now" only Vol- key combination works when connected via USB to a PC. All other combinations (Vol+ , Power and Vol+/-) have no effect. Doesn't matter if connected to PC or not.
I can only get into fastboot, however I can't flash images (remote command not allowed), seems to be because of FRP lock.
The device is recognized (fastboot devices) and HiSuite sees it too. Drivers are OK IMHO.
Simply locking it again is not possible, the fastboot lock/unlock options don't work and when booted OEM unlock is greyed out in the options.
dload method is not available, because I can't get into erecovery since the key combination doesn't work.
I also tried factory reset, but:
doing it in the options doesn't work - it reboots and is then stuck in booting. After charging it everything is still there, so no reset at all.
doing it with *#*# 2846579#*#* doesn't work - says can't do it because I have a google account. Removed the device from my account, message remains.
erecovery is not available, can't get in the menue
Any help is greatly appreciated, I would be very happy to just restore it to default settings.
Cheers
Did you removed your screen lock password before unlocking bootloader?
yes, i did. At the moment I don't have a screen lock pw set. Should I set one?
Maybe you need to use dc unlocker
hm, not sure. I got the unlock code from Huwai and it worked. I read up on dc unlocker, how do you think it could help?

Look into DC unlocked Phoenix. It can write to the phone in fastboot mode if the bootloader and frp is locked. I used it and it worked... Cost 20 dollars not better than buying a new phone
Thanks, will try it in the next days and post my results.

Are there any ways to hardreset a bootloader locked phone with fast boot?

Hey everyone,
I have an LG G5 and I'm trying to hardreset it. I can't turn it on because it always goes into "incompatible module" mode, telling me to change the battery. The power button also doesn't work anymore.
I have however managed to get it into fast boot mode. From there I tried to use
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
but it says that the bootloader is locked. I checked with LG and they said that my particular phone (from Australia) can't officially be unlocked.
Now I'm looking for a way to either unofficially unlock it or to wipe all data with fast boot without having to unlock it. I can't use adb because it somehow doesn't recognize my phone, fastboot does.
Thanks,
Josh

Huawei Watch 2

I have bought a Huawei Watch 2 on Ebay. It has arrived with a pattern lock on with no response from the seller. When trying to hard reset through fastboot loader it comes up with a large red circle with an exclamation mark in it then restarts. Anyone know how I can flash a stock sawshark onto it without being in developer mode or any other suggestions to get it working? thanks

I just ran into this same issue with mine after not wearing it for so long I forgot the PIN.
What worked for me was the following:
Install Android tools. You'll need to use `fastboot` for this to work.
Set the device in the dock and plug the USB into your computer.
Put the watch into fastboot mode the same way you have been, but don't select any options yet.
Run
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Choose Yes on the watch when prompted. Note: Apparently this voids the warranty, but in our cases I think we're well past that anyway.
Run these commands:
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
I still can't get into recovery, but it did factory reset the watch so I can use it again. I'm going to just lock it back up and use it as-is probably, but I assume from here you could now enable developer tools and flash whatever you want on there.
Just a quick question does unlocking the bootloader kill off GPay? Because I thought that I read something about it that said that it did. Or can you just relock the Bootloader again later. Also does does this leave a permanent mark on the device?
Got locked out of my watch after losing the phone it was connected to and not using the watch for a while. Downloaded the fastboot thing (I am inept at coding and the only cmd experience I have is running files in FDS fire simulators.) Couldnt get fastboot to work properly. Super easy way to reset the watch:
1.Keep input the wrong pattern or input to get locked out for 30s.
2. After the 30s, keep inputting wrong until it asks you if you want to reset the watch.
3. Wait for it to complete its reset!
Hope this helps someone!!!!
