Hello everyone,
I would just like to ask wether someone has experienced issue when the phone is connected to bluetooth.
Issue: When the phone (vayu) is connected to a bluetooth speaker or earphones, videos stutter and there is no sound on the bluetooth speaker or earphone. Music does not play as well when the device is connected to a bluetooth speaker or earphones.
It was working fine on a custom rom I was using, but suddenly it just bugged out. I tried formatting, changing roms, and going back to MIUI, however, the problem still persist.
I hope anyone can help.
I experienced something similar, a workaround is to disable HD audio in the BT device config. It is probably a firmware issue.
you using stock rom? I've encounter that too and switched to aosp.

Sadly, I've tried that both in MIUI and in custom rom (currently using Pixel Experience). The results are still the same.

Unfortunately, the results are still the same when I use both MIUI and custom roms. I went back to Pixel Experience after switching to stock just to test if the issue still persists in stock rom, and sadly it still does

hmm, weird. Try flashing aosp then if your problem is still there then we can say it's hardware problem.

This is probably a sign the phone is dying because my phone is now officially dead. Touch suddenly did not work even though the phone never fell, got wet, or got pressed.

So just wondering if anybody has worked out why the video player activates in the background occasionally since 4.1.2 update? Still bugs me anyone?
Mine always restarted even before the update. I've just learned to live with it.

Really happens daily on my device stock no root wifi version, only started since 4.1.2 update though. I'm used to it now but still would like to know why it does it
No idea, but I will add that mine is the 32gb N8000 version... I have 2 and both play nice, I bought one for my brother(still stock) and his has no problems and I got a friend hers(Omega rom) and it has no problems either... All N8000 32gb versions....
Might be just a problem with a certain model?
I have been facing this issue on my indian dual sim moto g since last 3-4 days. When i try to make a call i realise that there is no sound coming from the call. Putting it in speaker mode our putting a headset on does not help. The other party also cant hear anything.
The only solution to this seems to rebooting the phone which rectifies the issue. But i have already had this issue thrice in the last 3-4 days. Anyone else facing this issue or anyone has any idea of why it could be occurring?

Hmm.. wonder if its affecting in the indian dual sim model only or global version too. But the strange thing is that the issue occurred even when i switched to cm11 too. So i guess it has something to do with the radio..

This issue is common on most Moto G phone. Here - https://forums.motorola.com/posts/efb1c28e8d
You can fix it by pressing both volume down and up button at the same time.

Thanks a lot for the solution.. i had no idea that it could be resolved without a reboot. Happened to me today and got sorted after trying your fix..
Edit: just saw on another thread that this issue is happening on nexus 5 too. Seems like an issue with 4.4.2 and will hopefully be resolved with an update..

I think it's a problem of your device. As your problem is solved after a reboot, you may reset you phone, and observe whether the problem arise again or not. If the same problem arise again, you should better to contact the customer care.

Thanks for replying. But i am not the only one facing this issue. There are many moto g users who have complained of the same issue on various threads. I just thought that i will try to find the cause of this issue that's y opened a new thread. Also as i mentioned in the previous post, a guy with nexus 5 is facing the same issue. This tells me that its a prob with kitkat rather than my device..

I had wifi drops before on an Atrix2 on stock when I updated via OTA to ICS.
When I installed custom roms, that problem wasnt there, I had a problem and I had to flash stock rom with rsd lite for some reason the issue was gone.
I think the problem comes when the phone is updated via OTA, maybe it wilk be gone if I flash a stock rom with RSD lite.
Is there anyway to solve it? Did anybody have this problem before?

Just changed Wifi Frequency Band to 2.4ghz in advanced.
This has worked for me with lots of wifi networks but dont know why there is still 1 which continues with the problem.
Why can we not have a dedicated thread for the chinese version of the phone? I myself still have audio issues on my phone and changing regions did not help at all. Also since majority of users are using pro most of the solutions don't work for me. I also have 360hr wait time on my bootloader. I unlocked it originally on first try but I flashed china rom after checking out the global rom for a while and locked it again. Now I cannot bypass the wait time. Also getting recoveries and what not for the Ai is also difficult since it is usually hidden under a bunch of replies in a thread.
Because both are Whyred, and they're almost same except for camera, and everything works on both of the devices i.e., n5 pro and n5 ai.... and afaik there'll be same bugs too...
Why would flashing China rom relock your bootloader? That doesn't make sense.

I forgot to set flash all and instead used flash all and lock. Now its locked again and the fastboot command doesnt work.

Correction : I tried to use the twrp recovery that is linked in the first post of that thread and my Ai simply did not boot to it. After going into the discussion further I found a working version someone posted. Also china rom does not have any region other than china in the system. I flashed global rom on it to see if changing region fixed the issue and nope. The headphone low volume is still a problem.

It might be but I can't be certain until I flash a custom rom for which the audio works. And I can't do that because the damned bootloader is locked behind 240hr+ wait time.

Till then, you can try some other headphones to be sure that it's not the headphones that are messed up, see if any of your friend have N5 AI too amd test if audio is working fine there....and if nothing solves the problem then complaining to Xiaomi about this would might be the last thing you could do....best of luck?

That is not strictly true. I have tge Chinese version and as the OP has said when you instalk the Global Rom you cannot select any region.other than China you lose fubctionality because of this.

I know the earphones are not the problem as I have been using them on my last phone for a year now. And I got the Ai fairly recently. Mine is an unofficial version so complaining to Xiaomi is a no go. I will try to go to the retailer I got it from after I try using a custom rom on the device. Its honestly not that big of a deal as I can just use earbuds to circumvent the problem. My loudspeakers are loud af.

Nope. You do get all the regions on the global rom. But other than installing region specific bloatware it does not actually fix the low volume issue. Plus the global rom feels unpolished and has a lot of unnecesary tracker apps installed including facebooks own spying apps.
Today was released V11.3.9.0.PFCEUXM Stable Beta EEA. Anyone tried already?

I've updated but now I can't use Netflix anymore. The screen is black although I see the subtitles and hear the audio. I am so sick of this phone manufacturer!!!

I don't have Netflix, so the biggest bug is of little consequence to me. I haven't experienced any other issues beyond that. That said, don't expect a whole lot of quality development from Xiaomi for a while. Covid-19 has changed the lives of just about everyone in China in an enormous way.

They should at least provide a rollback to previous version. As far as I know it is impossible without unlocking bootloader (even with official Global EEA).
I have rolled back to previous ROM version with fastboot flash using mi flash. However when I used the new version, I did not encounter any particular issue.

1. I was on 11.3.5.0 and got the 11.3.9.0 (as an ota).
2. Bootloader was locked
3. So left all the apps.
4. Then a week later, I unlocked bootloader and flashed xiaomi.eu ROM to test android 10 stable. But that had a bug with wireless cast / share. So I flashed the fastboot ROM of 11.3.5.0 (no newer fastboot ROM version I had on my laptop)
Hope these answers your questions.
