Question Latest twrp which supports A12 encryption and decryption is here. Needs guide in installing PE+ - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Tired of miui, always been a stock android user till now. Needs guidance on installing PE+ since the twrp now supports encryption. Some people says that twrp gets replaced by stock recovery if i dont flash magisk and root it. Since the safetynet support comes prebuilt in PE+, i dont feel like rooting as what im searching for is a fluent stock android experience. Can i flash PE+ as soon as i flash twrp? Is there any recomended firmware need to be added before the rom file? Miui in my device is currently on 13.0.3. should i flash the same firmware again before adding the PE+ rom?

Whether the Twrp decrypts or not is irrelevant since for the first installation you will have to format the data (TWRP/wipe/format data type yes/reboot TWRP).
For the firmware use the one that corresponds with the date of the rom or more recent (global if not specify another).
Pixel experience provides a recovery:https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/vayu/install/

TWRP only one for A12:https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=322455
Rom:https://download.pixelexperience.org/vayu
If the requested firmware is not available, flash the recovery rom:https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/vayu/

So should i flash the latest firmware thats available for my device that is 13.0.3 for miui? Should the PE+ work efficiently with that firmware. What do you mean by the requested firmware not available? Can you elaborate on that specifically? Requested by PE+ you mean?

Nope, since you already have it.Global not EEA
I haven't seen any instructions for the firmware so it's assumed it's the latest.
Older firmware will not work, newer ones will.
For some AOSP the OP asks to flash a Chinese firmware for example.
Either way if it's not the right firmware the rom won't boot or work properly.
Ask on the thread of the rom you want to install.

As suggested by @NOSS8, Get the latest TWRP/OrangeFox (based on TWRP, a beautiful recovery) but be advised A12 encryption/decryption is still in beta (but is pretty stable IMO). Usually one flashes the latest Chinese firmware, no harm in flashing it even if you are switching over from MIUI.

Is there an already rooted oreo rom I can flash onto my rooted mate 9?

I have a rooted phone with a rom that isn't being supported anymore but it actually works great. I just want to update to oreo so is there a rom I can flash from twrp that is already rooted and ready to go? I saw a video of a how to install oreo 8.1 but it's just music playing with someone showing the menu option and no installation instructions.
The OpenKirin ROMs don't work with TWRP. Moreover, TWRP is risky -- it is much easier to recover a phone using the stock EMUI recovery than with TWRP. It is probably better to eliminate TWRP (which will not eliminate your rooting) by flashing the stock ramdisk), then use Magisk if you want to take advantage of root for installation of unapproved apps. I'm not an expert -- this is what I get from reading threads. Now that I'm running OpenKirin (Carbon), I haven't bothered to install Magisk again as I don't need it, but I appreciate that there are things you can do with it.

Last night I installed Oreo from a custom nougat rom. My wifi tether was working before now it isn't so I'll have to figure that out and maybe re root etc.. Is OpenKirin Oreo?
Yes, OpenKirin is Oreo 8.1.0, with security patches in Carbon 3.1 of July 2018. (The OpenKirin site currently has Carbon 2, which has the June patch, but you can get 3.1 from the telegram support group, which is what I'm running. It will show up on the OpenKirin site sooner or later.)
Can I go from stock 8.0 to OpenKirin? Since it doesn't use twrp I'll have to read how to do it.
Edit: Where do I find OpenKirin Carbon? I didn't see it in the rom section here.

There are instructions at the site as well as downloads. The current version of Carbon, 3.1, can currently only be reached by going to the telegram group, but I found no bugs in v2.

Firmware MIUI 8.8.30 for XIAOMI Mi5

Yesterday XIAOMI Mi5 has get a new update.
About TWRP aborts the update, because firmware MIUI 8.8.30 is required as a minimum requirement.
However, I find these not to download - does anyone have a link?
Regards & Thanks
Same here, does anyone can provide the download link ? Thank you
same here and the last update that worked has some bugs.
Apps crashing, battery drains etc.
Was hoping the new update would have fixed these issues but alas
I cannot get TWRP to flash giving the same error about MIUI 8.8.30

This is to all of you, you can't apply stock OTA updates on rooted devices or devices that have TWRP installed. Stock OTA updates require an unmodified system partition(meaning no root, no Xposed, no root mods of any kind).
OTA updates also require stock recovery, not TWRP.
You can all try flashing any stock firmware for your device then wait for the update notification then try the update process.
To those of you that have TWRP installed, this is a good example of why it is so important to create a nandroid backup of your stock ROM before you modify anything on the device. If you had that nandroid backup, you could restore the backup, then flash a copy of your stock recovery, then unroot the device, then wait for the update notification, then you'd be able to apply the current update. Then after applying the update, root the device again and flash TWRP again, then create a new nandroid backup of the updated stock ROM and delete the older backup from before the update.

I am running Lineage OS 15.1 when it applies the nightly update I get this error.
So what you are saying is they updated to MIUI 10 which as what I can see updates to MIUI 8.8.30 which includes new code
that TWRP and Lineage cannot install over. Also there is this Xiaomi's anti rollback that is installed as well so I am guessing
either live with the last Lineage OS update or install stock MIUI and call it day.

Oh, you mean a nightly update of LOS?
Maybe the MIUI update contained a bootloader update and the new builds of LOS were built to work with the new bootloader?

Interesting I encountered the same problem. Lineage Cannont update because 8.8.30 stock ROM Miui is required.
Simply download latest available miui firmware. Via TWRP install it and then immediately install latest LineageOS.
Here is the link to the new MIUI

Returning to OxĂgenOS from LineageOS 18.1

Hi everyone,
I wanted to know how can i go back to OxigenOS from LineageOS 18.1. I have tried fastbooting an older version of the Lneage recovery, but in their wiki Is no longer available. Also, i have tried fastbooting the OxigenOS 11 OTA but i am receiving an error that saya "The installed kernel version Is higher than this one"(OxigenOS 11).
Any idea of what can i do?
Thanks!
This is not the thread to post your queries.
Ans to your question is there is a Fastboot flashable rom(flash.all bat file in it) flash that. Flashing it will give oos10 and update to oos11 from there.
[ROM][STOCK][FASTBOOT][OP6] Stock Fastboot ROMs for OnePlus 6
Things are changing with the advent of project treble and seamless updates. OnePlus will no longer release ROMs flashable via stock recovery (with twrp is possible but not recommended). The updates will be done on the slot not used for example...

Thank you, and sorry, this Is my 1st post here. About the flashable ROM, where can i find it?

Question Updating ROM from Chinese (13.0.8) to EU rom

Hi everyone . Couple of weeks ago I received my 12S Ultra, and started with unlocking process. Phone is currently unlocked and I was looking for threads which show the process of updating it to latest EU rom. I've seen this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-miui-thor-xiaomi-eu-rom-for-xiaomi-12s-ultra.4481389/ thread and wanted to ask if this is up to date? I'd like to install MIUI 14 also if that is possible.
Another list of questions, would updates after flashing be working or would I need to manually update ROM as the releases come, and also are there any significant issues on MIUI 14 or should I go with MIUI 13?
Thanks in advance.
2 versions of rom, Weekly or stable. The weekly is a hybrid rom and for the moment the stable is installed with the TWRP.
Both receive updates via OTA.

Thanks for quick reply, okay so if I understood you correctly after flashing I can just update it directly on the phone when update comes via OTA. For the TWRP installation, so I can't just follow the tutorial and execute the first install script (which formats data) correct?
Just trying to wrap my head around this since I've flash global ROM before but without TWRP. Once more thanks for answering.

Installing TWRP does not require data formatting.
But for the first installation of a Xiaomi EU rom it is advisable to format the data with TWRP or use the first install.bat script depending on the version of the rom.

Development OP9-LEMONADE-A13-ROM-WATCHDOGS-JUNE 25, 2023

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS UP YOUR PHONE!!!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Watch dogs is a ROM I created and it started with the OnePlus 9 Pro back in December. I have decided to bring it to the OnePlus 9, it's based on LineageOS & crDroid source & dependencies and I thank them for its use. SafetyNet and CTS passes whether your rooted or not. Modules not required. Most features are the same as crDroid but I have made some adjustments to bluetooth quality and some fonts that are not available there, plus Gapps are included.
Before you begin, if you don't have the latest platform tools installed on your windows machine. Download it here:
DO NOT FLASH GAPPS!!!! THEY ARE INCLUDED IN BUILD!!!!!
Flashing Instructions
First time installation (clean flash):
This update requires OOS 13.1 - 13.1.0.500(EX01) firmware
Backup your data
Download the ROM, and firmware flasher listed further down on this post and place all in your platform tools folder,
Extract all the contents in platform tools, Firmware flasher in folder.
You must flash firmware in bootloader.
Boot to recovery and factory reset then adb sideload
adb sideload WatchDogs-13.0-20230625-lemonade.zip
Reboot to system
reboot to recovery if you want root
adb sideload magisk.apk or adb sideload magisk.zip
Reboot to system
Update installation:
Updates can be sideloaded with custom recovery. Updates do not appear in system updater.
Sources:

Bugs?
Let me know.
Initial builds
WatchDogs-WITHGAPPS-13.0-20230312-lemonade.zip
WatchDogs-NOGAPPS-13.0-20230312-lemonade.zip
If you require Google apps, flash the first one only!
If you do not want Google apps, flash the second one only!
You can't cross dirty flash a update which should be common sense. Example, you can't dirty flash the with gapps build then next update, dirty flash the no gapps one.
I tried CRdroid recovery and the one I was on and both said name mismatch. Got any suggestions for me to try? Thank you for the new development too!

That's weird. Did you try sideloading the firmware flasher first before the ROM? If you still have difficulties, I will post the dtbo, boot and vendor_boot files for you to flash to make it compatible. I don't have this phone. I have the OnePlus9 Pro so I can't test it. I'm sure it works or there would be other users saying the same thing.
I flashed the firmware successfully and tried it again but still got the same error. It wouldn't hurt to post the kit files and recovery for others too. If you do then I'll try again before I have to head into work in a couple hours.
UPDATE:
I used the CrDroid boot-20230106 file and then sideloaded fw_Oneplus9_IN_OOS13_F20 on both slots and was able to flash the rom on both slots successfully. Will let you know what I find in time and thanks again for another version rom to pplay with

Good deal, and no problem. Since I use crDroid sources, I figured that should work. I will still post the files necessary to flash recovery when I get a chance. Let me know if there are any bugs or issues with the ROM itself so I can work on it. Thank you!
I installed it on my first try without any problems. but I couldn't understand how it differs from crdroid.

Not to mention Gapps included if you choose it so OTAs with no issues... otherwise you'd have to sideload Gapps again after at least for me that's what was happening.

correct, sorry, forgot to mention that as well. Thank you!! crDroid doesn't offer a with gapps build. You can use the no gapps build to flash your own gapps but I won't support force close issues with the ROM. Example, pixel setup wizard can't be used because it interfers with the default launcher. And yes, on updates, just sideload the with gapps build and your done, unless you want root, then you will have to reboot and sideload magisk because root will be gone on a update.

Convert your T-Mobile to EU as listed on another thread, then you can use the EU firmware. I will be posting a update soon with the boot, vendor_boot and dtbo. If you don't want to do that, I will post them later to flash recovery on your phone. Keep in mind that different variants act different, so you may have bugs on T-Mobile, it wasn't tested.

You can use my custom recovery, files added in OP. You still need latest stock A13.
fastboot flash --slot all boot boot.img
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
You cant install this (or any rom but base 11) on tmobile 2117 without BL unlock key. Pretty sure its not possible.
You can only convert to base global 11\OOS11 on 2117 for root, then in ui updater doesnt work OTA or manually. You can get to 13 stock only, because you need to be stock to ota, where you need a key to unlock bootloader again (conversion would bring you back to 11).
*The rooting situation with this phone sucks. I think Jaguar is the only one that will work because it is base 11.
