Wow!
I know it's not real world, but this is looking very good for battery life on the Flip 4.
From what I've seen and heard in 72 hour reviews on YouTube, the battery is much better than the 3. I'm hopeful.

I've gone from from 100% down to 74% in 12 hours so far, for my usage (Light/Moderate).
My Flip 3 would have been down to nearer 50 - 55%.
So far, so good
This is NOT a scientific appraisal, as every user has a different usage scenario.
1 week update.
Battery life has been so much better than my old Flip3 this last week.
My usual stats on the 3 were around 65-75% daily usage.
On the 4, it's showing my average usage is anywhere between 45-50% on a daily basis
Get mine tomorrow. If i get 4-5 hours SOT i would be thrilled.

Give us a review about the battery life!
real world tests show I get atleast 25-30% better batery life as well.
I had the flip 3 since release, battery life was pretty horrible. Have been running this flip 4 for a couple days and I can say the longer lasting battery is very noticable. The claimed better battery life is the main reason I decided to upgrade, along with the great trade in credit
I'm new in this gathering. I have a few inquiries regarding this gathering. These inquiries are displayed underneath:

My inquiry is about this string. Assuming that you have any data about this string. Kindly statement me and tackle my concern.

I used to get 4-5 hours of screen time on my flip3, but that would end the day on about 15% battery remaining (starting from 85%, as I had it set to stop charging to protect the battery).
I now get 4-5 hours screen time out of my flip4, and still have 40%+ battery left (also starting at 85%).
Still learning patterns etc for the adaptive battery and background apps and suchlike, so it may even get better.

My battery also is so bad
My battery is no better then my S22 which was horrible.
The battery in mine is also horrible. I got it on August 18, only charged it to 100% once, but according to AccuBattery the capacity is just above 3200 mAh (see below).
My primary reason for buying it was its 3700 mAh battery instead of the 3300 mAh in the Z Flip 3.

im getting the same in accubattery
I get between 4-6 SOT with mixed WiFi/LTE usage. Honestly what surprises me is that the Z Flip4 gets me more through the day vs my S22Ultra, but the WQHD+ and > screen explains it.
So the Flip4 would usually give me better SOT vs my S22U.
Battery not as good as my last phone, which was like carrying a brick, but seems good enough. My issue is I like to use wireless charging, and seems takes 12 hours to charge to 100 from 35percent battery. Going to try another brand charger, but current one supports flip 4 max charge rate.
Edit: Found issue, my wall plug was too old, didn't support higher amps out
Better than the flip 3 for me. I only charge to 85 percent before bed, unplug, then use through the day as needed. I'm in my computer for work more than my phone, so I'm not a mobile "power user" by any means. Have more than 20 percent at night when I plug it in usually. If I'm driving then I have it plugged in while I drive, so maybe the accounts for my good numbers.

I haven't heard anyone post their findings... what are they seeing in terms of amount of battery life? Days? Hours?
I posted my screenshots in the other ZeroLemon thread. To briefly recap, on my first discharge, I managed almost 9 hrs of screen-on time on almost 50 hrs of total on-time.
normally, it is about 1 hours. However, it also last longer or shorter. It is not exact result.

That doesnt seem too good for a 7500mAh battery. Thats nearly three times as large as the stock battery assuming the mAh rating is correctly showcased. I would expect at least 15 hours screen on time.

But then the phone was on for nearly 50 hrs. The screenshots I have seen of the 5200mah battery results showed about 9 to 10 hrs of screen on time with the phone on for about 24 to 25 hours.
If I were to watch movies or TV shows from a 100% charge, I would be able to achieve 13 hrs or more easily. And also, it was my first discharge and I flashed my phone several times during the first cycle, which also messed up my battery calibration and stats.
In the end, however, I'm not too concerned about the absolute validity of zerolemon's claim because the battery more than exceeds what I was looking for from an extended battery and I don't have to stress or worry about the battery running low or dying on me.
well my concern is if this beast is bulky just like their GS3
The initial charge (53%) lasted about 10 hours.
Sent from Spaceball One.
I'm still on my first run, but here are my stats so far on my very 1st cycle. Sorry, I'm on my work PC so I can't provide screenshots at the moment:
Current Battery Level: 58%
It's been off the charger for 1 day, 11 hours
Screen On Time: 4hrs 41 minutes
So if it follows suit the rest of the way, I'll be looking at roughly 11+ hours screen on time on the very first cycle, which is normally the worst performance you'll get on a battery. Well worth the $40 folks!
I believe most people are like me and they are only in the 1st or 2nd cycle. I am working on my first full cycle now. Nothing crazy so far, 3hrs 30 minutes of on screen with 55% left and the phone has been unplugged for 26 hours now.
I won't post any screenshots until the 5th cycle.

This battery is nothing short of fantastic. Got it for 30$. Usually always get at least 2 1/2 days of use and that's internet use, music, and GPS. Bulk bothered me at first but now I don't notice it.

Loving mine so far, battery went a bit faster than i though but i was out in an area with no signal for a few hours so its to be expected. 1d 9hrs on this charge so far and 41% left, screen time of about 4 hours. Not really surprised due to the lack of a signal though. Even if it doesn't work as well as others think it should it is total worth the extra $40 and bulk. I dont worry about my phone crapping out now, also I'm still on my first discharge. I left it plugged in for about 13 hours prior to unplugging it for the first time. I have had a few spikes of a few % but nothing bad. This is all on mobile data as well, dont have wifi set up at home yet (stupid comcast).

When comparing stock battery to an extended battery, I think it's important to compare not just the percentage level left + screen-on time but also the total number of hours the phone has been on since unplugged from the wall outlet.
Here is a comparison between the stock 2600mah battery versus the ZeroLemon 7500mah battery at the same 2% battery left state.
Stock (OEM 2600mah, 2% left, 5 hrs 6 mins screen-on time, total runtime of 16 hrs 4 mins):

}
ZeroLemon (7500mah, 2% left, 8 hrs 28 mins screen-on time, total runtime of 49 hrs 16 mins):
The ZL screenshot above was taken during the first discharge cycle. The GSam battery stats, however, got altered because I flashed the Crossbreeder mod several times (TWRP, reboot), as well as several reboots for the Xposed Nottach module tweaks. The real screen-on time and total runtime on the ZeroLemon should really be a bit more than 9 hrs and 50 hrs and some minutes.
When you compare the number of hours the phone was able to run off the charger until hitting 2%, the ZL battery provided 3x the life.
It's been 11 hours off of a full charge and I'm at 74%. I'd post a screencap of the battery statistics so far but I had to remove the battery to put on an iLoome screen protector (just got it in today).
I've recently noticed that the battery on my P3 seems to be dying. I've gone from 1.5 days of use at the start to 0.5 days. I also had some other issues with the port malfunctioning, so I managed to get a replacement under warranty.
Before I send my old unit back to Google, I decided to document how bad the battery has gotten to see if anyone is having similar issues with the phone at ~10mo of use.
Here's a screenshot of what battery looks like on it with a blank flash of stock, left it on airplane mode for the entire day and didn't use:

I bought mine used from Ebay so I have never seen "new" battery life..
Battery lasts less than a day but I have very poor cell reception.
On a new P3, does the 100% less the usage ever equate to current charge?

oh damn, that's a pretty big drop. i bought my pixel last december, but my had to RMA it. My current unit is bouncing between 3 to 5 hours of screen on time.
I do run always on display.
Roughly 3.5-4 hrs, which after playing with the mate 20 pro it really makes you jealous.

2586 mAh after one year. I would say that's ok, considering that I keep it plugged in over night. As for it's high consumption, i blame it on Android 10. I have no numbers, but it feels like I've lost 1/3 of the capacity since I got the phone...
5 hrs SOT with about 15% left. Kirisakura + Servicely
I was on lineageos, had more than a day. Since I'm back to stock, harshly have more than 12 hours

That is pretty poor. No degradation noticed on my year old Pixel 3. My wife's 3-year old Pixel is about what you are experiencing, and she is due for a battery replacement.
I'm on day 2 of using my UK Note 20 Ultra and the battery life is leaving a lot to be desired. Today I'm currently sitting at 49% battery with 1 hour 30 minutes screen on time. I'm using it very lightly as I'm mostly desk based while working.
I know the phone is still "Learning usage patterns" but this seems very little usage to be sitting below 50%. Is anyone else seeing similar?

similar scenario for me unfortunately, i got 3 hours SOT which bought it down to 14% before i charged. Will give a week or so to see if it improves before deciding to return it or not.
Yeah you need to give it time and completely discharge the battery before charging again
Same Uk Model, its been absolutely appaling.. the things also getting too hot all the time doing basic stuff but forcing the dim screen. I'm really not too happy with this so far.. just had an update so maybe this will improve things... though as above gonna give it a week or so to see if things settle down.

Same here this thing gets super hot, just light browsing socials the screen gets warm. Just typing this out had lost me 1%. Have you got bad standby drain also? Mines terrible with absolutely nothing running. Samsung are theives not upgrading the chipset in this phone but giving the US brand spanking new Snapdragons?
Today was my 1st day using the note 20 ultra at work and I also had below par battery life, got around 2.5 hours sot during a 12 hour shift at the end of which the battery was below 10%, phone was on medium/low brightness using lte with low reception and my phone also got warm to the touch when browsing.
It takes about a week or more to settle for sure but these early reports are looking really bad @ the Exynos especially in terms of batterylife and unusual heating.
I ended today on 13% battery with 2hrs52mins SOT. Also find the phone gets extremely hot when doing basically anything for an extended period. Can't see me keeping this past the end of the first week, there's so much ground it would have to make up.
should i pull the trigger ? i can save mad money on the exynos version
i mean roms will be amazing for it
which can help it
Overnight about 8h now use battery dropped 12%
I'm not an exynos fan but getting 4:30 SOT and no heat at all. I haven't opened any games yet though just installed them
Just done a rolling video test with the Note 8 and Note 20 ultra. Both on full brightness playing the same set of files.
The Note 8 display is brighter and more colourful. After 3 hours or so the Note 20 ultra has 82% left and the Note 8 has 76%
If you look at the difference in battery capacity (4500 vs 3300) and the difference in screen size then I would say the Note 8 performs better even with the brighter display.
Im currently on snapdragon, but my s10+ was exynos and I never had this drain you guys are experiencing. This is unacceptable. I hope you guys can figure it out.
Remember the battery takes a couple of days to "learn your usage"
I never trust those marketing gimmick said it will learn your usage and batt life will improves... Just put all apps you did not use into deep sleep and frequent use into sleep. That give me 6 to 7 hours SOT 120hz with 10% left
4th day in Exynos. Phone has been on for 3 hours, 45 mins SOT consisting of browsing socials, no apps running in background 75% battery remaining ? This is terrible, can't see it getting better....
This is mine...
I'm getting about the same as my Note 10+. Moderate use all day and still have 30 to 40% left. So I'm happy.

Sorry didn't make that clear enough. The phone had been on for 3 hours, only have 45 mins SOT left with 75% battery
It has been decent for me so far. This is the first charge cycle. But i was at home in wifi all the time (with 120hz adaptive setting)
Anyone here have any tips to increase the battery life of my Note 20 Ultra? Barely get 3.5 hours of SoT despite being a medium power user. Just scrolling through social media and watching youtube. Shouldn't that get me way more SoT than what I currently experience?
Use the function to let the apps go in deep sleep, this will give the battery a big boost, another good thing to do is a full factory reset, I'm getting in between 6-8 hours a day in battery life. (I'm on the android 11 beta though)

I tried the first option already. I also did a factory reset like 3 times. I even sent my device for repair but they couldn't find any issues and it peformed to Samsung standards according to the repair service.
Yet I still average 3.5 hours SoT with below medium usage.
Sold that garbage phone. Now got the Find X2 Pro and I'm getting 6 hours SoT on the first charge with the same usage.
Give the battery some time to optimize. After 3 to 4 weeks the battery has improved on a daily basis. I constantly get around 6 to 8 hours SoT with a full day's use (over 20 hours total usage including spotify background usage of around 2 hours). Over the weekend from morning to evening on the phone, I got 11 hours SoT - 16 hours total usage - mostly streaming netlix and youtube and doing nothing else with the phone. Phone on medium power saving, which is more than what I need for my usage (emails, lots of streaming netflix & youtube, calls etc.). If you do gaming, you should try to leave battery saving on optimized.
Also noticed that same battery tech used in note 10 plus. Friends of mine who use that phone still get amazing battery life after a full year of use. They also saw noticeable battery improvement from after one month of full use. No idea why this happens. Also I exchanged my first one because of the battery issue after 3 weeks of use. With the replacement I gave it a full month and saw a huge improvement!!!
I sold my Note 20 Ultra a few days ago and bought the Oppo Find X2 Pro and on the first day 5-6 hours SoT and now on average 6-7 hours. **** Samsung.

On standby took 3 days no charge. On 4th beta.
I also sold mine exynos... Wlan is okay but if you outdoors and use mobile data (5g off!) the phone cant hold its Charge. Its an amazing phone (looks nice, feels nice, fast, but a little hotter than other phones wich is okay... But if i must charge two times a day... Yes tried factory reset, Medium battery save,debloatin...) its sad that Samsung has gone with this bad exynos...
Surprisingly, despite having google play services at the top of my battery usage and running constantly, I'm surprised how good this is on Exynos. Think I seem to have hit the golden trade off between usage and settings. Had 22 hours standby, 3 hours screen on and approximately 45% battery left. Had 18 hours standby and 6 hours screen on the day following. Adaptive power kicks in at around 11pm and seems to be a very good trade off. No noticeable slowdown whatsoever.
More than happy.
First day
Following day, same charge
I read somewhere that the adaptive battery setting actually makes the battery life worse for some users (i guess this is subjective). Have you run the phone without adaptive battery saving?

On my 10+ running on Pie the only power setting is for the display/cpu power mod, Optimize.
Any other power management screws up functionality and increases battery consumption.
I simple close apps when done, sometimes not even that.
All buckets show as active; Android automatically handles them; no 3rd party power management needed.
Actually solving excessive battery use takes a lot more effort than flipping the Device Care toggles which if active only complicates the task of finding the hogs, causing excessive power usage as well as causing unpredictable behavior with apks. This doesn't show up immediately but over a course of days it seems.
Only fast charging is toggled.
Eventually all 3rd power management apps cause conflicts with the native Android system as far as I have observed.
Just feel good junk that causes problems rather than fixes them.
One may have been part of the cause of a boot loop that cost me 2 back to back reloads...
-No Thanks-

Johnny... please show us some new stats. Will it work around 15 hours with normal/medium usage? I'm afraid this battery... just battery ;/
Hi,
Normal/medium usage is different for everyone.
All I can say, is I was worried about be the battery size, but it has got me through the day just fine.
Depending on what apps I'm using and light gaming, I've been getting around 3.5 to 4.25 hours of screen on time.
I've averaged 16-22 hours of use even with my smart watched connected for around 6 hours a day.
We have to remember though, this is an early software version, so may improve over time.
For now battery life is very disappointing for me. Came from pixel 5 when I could leave the house with half the battery left and not worry. However, I am sure this can be improved but need some suggestions based on the below. I have google play services and carrier services that are draining quite a lot. Any idea how to pin those down/improve?
EDIT: clearly me being stupid after too much work. that's usage over the last 7 days and not 24 hours.... still battery life for me leaves something to be desired for now. I do lots of calls for work. after taking off the charge at 7am, I had to plug the phone back in at 6pm. will report towards end of the week to see if anything improves
Any news after few days of using?
Horrendous for me still after clearing caches and even turning off location. Google play services is at the top.
I need to charge twice a day. Comparing to Note 20 Ultra it's very disappointing. I am thinking about returning my Flip.

Yea. Mine lives on the charger. I get better life from my Galaxy Book. I'm assuming this will be fixed. I've seen a couple cases where people said they had better life on the Fold than note.
Had the Flip 3 for just over a week now.
Battery for me was acceptable yesterday, fair amount of camera use (mainly on 4G), and today so far is decent (mainly WiFi). At 80%, with 50mins SOT.
the only thing that did it for me was turning off 120hz refresh rate. sticking with 60hz visually hurts but it improves battery life a lot. it is now capable of getting me through the whole day easily and lasting around 24hrs. SOT is around 3 hours.

I need to charge twice a day. Comparing to Note 20 Ultra it's very disappointing. I am thinking about returning my Flip.

Wow. Are you heavy user?
Latest after going for a walk to get some beer, and I know it's sad . Did some Pokémon Go on the way.

No, more a moderate user. A couple of short WhatsApp video calls, 20 text message, some light gaming, 20-30 photos, and maybe 30-60 mins on Chrome.
I have 2 accounts for Google/Gmail syncing.

Not terrible for me . It's not the best, but good enough for me. Gets me through the day, even when on the mobile network.
I have some back ground Sammy apps disabled like Bixby.
It has definitely improved over the last couple of days.
screenshot attached now. again, this is with 60hz only.

Could try the app in the mods section, set it to 96 refresh rate.
I'm going to give it a go, and try setting it up with 96Hz, and 48Hz idle.

thanks, I will give it a go in about a week. just want to see a little more how it deals with my regular working week when I am always on the phone. will post later once i've checked that.
why 96 though and not 90?

90 not available, 48, 60, 96 and 120 are the options
Am I the only one losing 30 percent after an hour of SOT? Not even using the big screen? Almost all apps are asleep too. Absolutely nuts. I'm gonna have to carry a battery with me if I ever take this on vacation. It can't last a work day. I hit 30 percent before 11am from 85.
