Im still at 35% as I type...

I got 48 hours my last charge with light use and wifi on most of the time then 2 charges later the thing died in 8 hours after i practically never touched it @[email protected]

why does your battery stats screen look different?

Oh and if I use the phone with light browsing/videos/music it can go for 5 maybe 6 days with the Gingerbread update and Mugen 4500 mAh extended battery. I got 3 days and was still at 68%.

To be completely honest, my battery life hasn't been very good lately. I'll take it off the charger at about 7AM in the morning. It'll be about nearly dead (in the orange or red) at about 6-8PM. Before the update, i'd get a lot more life out of it honestly. Whether I was using it or not.

i'm at 78% after 17hrs right now. but i utilize wifi.

had exact same experience. I've decided it's because while I'm on wifi at work, it's not a strong signal so the phone keeps dis/reconnecting.
I'd say that I generally get around 20 hours with normal weekday usage.

I installed xboarders tweaked with LG cam and nothing else and would get about 10hrs out of the battery. Then I installed the nontweaked version with all bloat and stock camera and when I put it on my charger I was at 30hrs with 28% left.

If you wanna feel good about yourself dl ZDbox ... it always seems to exaggerate my battery life...lol
With heavy use I get about 8 hours.

Since I installed this plain rooted rom my battery has flatlined. All I have installed on it is Beautiful Widgets and enabled wifi calling.
has anyone ever seen anything like this? 15hrs and it was still at 76%.....

My battery was horrible until yesterday. CM7 build 97 helps my battery a lot and then I also use SetCPU with a screen off profile and an in-call profile. Those 2 things left my battery at 7% after exactly 24hours off the charger and light to moderate usage.
Screen off - 312/216
In Call - 1000/216 with priority slider set higher that screen off profile.
Credit goes to 'phburks' for the profile settings.

Dude you didnt even use the phone until the end where it dipped.

Yeah, isn't that what your looking for? I only want my battery to drop when in use. Every other rom I have tried the that slope has been at around a 45° angle.

I've gotten better battery performance on Eagleblood 2.3.5 ver1.6
Overall, still sucks. I've not tested the battery because I accept that having android, I can't expect for more than a day's use. My nokia e72 has great battery performance.
I'll push to see how much I can get, but honestly, I accept it. I'm always near a charger so it doesn't matter. Spent most of my frustration on getting a working ROM with my phone.
Now I can tweak with battery performance. I don't expect anything more than 8 hours. I use my phone alot.

last full charge on my G2x with Faux's rom and UV kernal lasted me 55 hours with normal usage, H+ (3g+) most the time, the true 42mb 4g isnt out here yet

I got 12 hours today. Amazing.

[Q] Question about my battery consumption.

Hello there everyone.
I used to have a blackberry phone in the past and my battery life sucked.
I've been out of work recently and I noticed that I charge my phone quite often daily. I've had this phone for about 4 months now. In the past, since I'm either in the office or trying to catch some sleep, I get by with one charge a day. But now I can barely last 5 hours with a charge. Granted that I seem to be holding my phone always and always doing something with it every time that I'm awake.
Let's just segue a bit with my Blackberry experience since this might be affecting my mentality a bit.
I used to have a bb 9630 and that phone literally won't last through a work day without me plunging it in my office computer mid work day.
So now we come back to my Xperia Pro.

I have been on YouTube for at least 3 hours straight before I took this.
Is this normal consumption? I mean, does watching videos on YouTube for 3 hours drains your battery that drastically?
I really have a bad sense of estimating things so I really can't tell if that's normal or not.
Although when I unplugged my phone and didn't use it for 55 minutes, my battery still went down like 3-4 percent.

Many times the manufacturer will provide a crappy battery because they are cheap. One easy fix to a battery drain issue is upgrade the battery. MAh's (milliamp hours) are what you look for with a battery upgrade. Most batteries will specify the mAh value (common figures are 1200mAh, 1350mAh, 1500mAh etc) but basically the higher the mAh value, the longer the battery should last between charges.
Online auction sites and stores are an easy way to obtain one. I upgraded this phone battery from the stock battery, got one with 350 more mAh and the device will now last 2-3 hours longer with the same software.

I'm kinda a bit hesitant with using a non-manufacturer battery. And it is really hard to get a hold of in our country. Most of those auction sites won't ship internally.
I guess what I just want to know is if my usage reflects my battery consumption without any anomaly.
And another question, is that media server thing caused by youtube or was it because I have a live wallpaper activated?

Well the live wallpaper doesn't help battery life either, but you probably have your screen too bright, and watching youtube videos means you probably have the screen on 100% of the time, takes a crapload of power as well. I would definitely find out what the media server is though.

when youre watching Youtube Videos on your Smartphone,
your battery drains very fast.

3-4 hours of screen on time is normal for the Samsung Galaxy S3 - obviously, a different device - but it doesn't exactly sound like a shocking figure to me that you're at 44% after 3 hours of YouTube. The fact that you have so much battery left AFTER watching video for 3 hours straight is very good and wouldn't call that drastic at all. I would call that good battery life.
3-4% an hour when not in use is probably due to having lots of apps constantly waking the device or having them use GPS, et cetera. You can use something like BetterBatteryStats to determine what's doing it if you're not sure.

Anyone feel like battery life is better since Android 10?

It may just be me going crazy, but my phone feels like the battery life is way better now that it's on Android 10.

I upgraded the other day and I think it maybe slightly better but it's too early to tell yet.

I have noticed that my battery life is better, my screen usage time used to be around 2 hours and 30 minutes give or take and now mine reads 3 hours and 51 minutes. I have been using the dark theme, so happy they made this a standard feature.

Really loving the Android 10 on my two years old pixel 2 xl. Battery life has been significantly improved in this new update. Now adays i am getting 2 days of battery life with nearly 6 hours of sot ?

Battery went to **** after the update, about 30% worse. Did you guys do a clean install or just OTA?

I'm with you. I did the OTA and feel it's ~ 30% worse, with no major change in apps or usage.

Battery life on android 10
I did a dirty upgrade on Beta 6 by removing -w in flashall.bat. I have no problem in any app so far though there is the odd bug. As far as battery life is concerned I am getting always better than a day with one reading of 5 hours and 30 mins of screen on time and 30% battery left after 26 hours. I certainly think the battery is lasting longer and I have no fear of running out of battery as I had earlier with Android 9. I was occasionally getting a day but the remaining charge was only 10%. Mostly it was less than 24 hours with 25% charge left. From me the Android 10 battery life is a definite thumbs up.

I was on the August update and rooted then sideloaded the OTA about 10 days ago. My battery life is at least 25% better than on Pi.
Before I would be connected on WiFi most of the day and after 10-12 hours battery was at low to mid 30s. Now on 10 same setup my battery only drains to the mid to upper 50s.

I could never make it through the day before September's update. Now, I end the day with 15 or 20% Which is awesome

My stand by is better by 6 hrs, lost 30mins sot tho. I feel it's a good trade off.

I got 4 to 6 hours of SOT ! It's better. The only reason I don't try to flash custom ROMs for now

I was good after the update but about two weeks ago my screen-off/standby drain has gone from 0.6 - 0.9%/hr to upwards of 2+ %/hr. Not so far able to track down what triggered this. Most downloaded apps are force stopped and reboots don't help. Trying safe mode currently...

Getting very inconsistent results. Anyone else here found a fix yet? Common sense would suggest it's a rogue update to an app that's not force stopped or something done at Google's end. Virtually impossible to find/verify

I'm getting really bad results, I've only read news for 40 minutes and my phone already is at 80%, I've never got that problem before, I could easily get 1hour SOT just during 100 - 90%. I need to charge my phone twice a day! Which is insane.
Anyone got that problem and found a solution?

Question Battery and SOT

I just got my One Plus 9 (LE 2110) today. It came with 16% charge out of the box and I charged it up to 100%.
My battery is now at 15% at 4hrs SOT. I only do facebook and messenger most of the time. I also tested some camera functions for a short period of time.
Is it normal or will it improve on the next charging cycles? Thank you.
I'm on Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10 build btw.

I don't have the phone but thinking about buying it. However, poor battery is a deal breaker for me.

Btw what is the ROM that you are using? Its not like my OOS battery page

I'm getting 7hrs of SOT now with 3 charging cycle from purchase. It keeps increasing lol. I don't know exactly the factor that affects my battery.

I am using OOS 12. The c44 ROM that dropped and then was pulled. You have to manually flash it. I don't have the issues others have complained about so I haven't reverted to OOS 11. The battery is phenomenal, just beware that you will have to go into the settings for apps you want to receive notifications from and enable background battery usage.

Why is it a deal breaker? The phone charges from zero to full in half an hour.
That said, 5G and 120hz are huge drains. You get at least 20% more battery shutting them off.

Question Flip 4 Battery Life?

Wow!
I know it's not real world, but this is looking very good for battery life on the Flip 4.

From what I've seen and heard in 72 hour reviews on YouTube, the battery is much better than the 3. I'm hopeful.

I've gone from from 100% down to 74% in 12 hours so far, for my usage (Light/Moderate).
My Flip 3 would have been down to nearer 50 - 55%.
So far, so good
This is NOT a scientific appraisal, as every user has a different usage scenario.

1 week update.
Battery life has been so much better than my old Flip3 this last week.
My usual stats on the 3 were around 65-75% daily usage.
On the 4, it's showing my average usage is anywhere between 45-50% on a daily basis

Get mine tomorrow. If i get 4-5 hours SOT i would be thrilled.

Give us a review about the battery life!

real world tests show I get atleast 25-30% better batery life as well.

I had the flip 3 since release, battery life was pretty horrible. Have been running this flip 4 for a couple days and I can say the longer lasting battery is very noticable. The claimed better battery life is the main reason I decided to upgrade, along with the great trade in credit

I used to get 4-5 hours of screen time on my flip3, but that would end the day on about 15% battery remaining (starting from 85%, as I had it set to stop charging to protect the battery).
I now get 4-5 hours screen time out of my flip4, and still have 40%+ battery left (also starting at 85%).
Still learning patterns etc for the adaptive battery and background apps and suchlike, so it may even get better.

OMG, that is very bad only a 4-hour battery is not enough for a day of usage! I'm getting the phone and hope there will be updates for good battery optimization!

My battery also is so bad

My battery is no better then my S22 which was horrible.

The battery in mine is also horrible. I got it on August 18, only charged it to 100% once, but according to AccuBattery the capacity is just above 3200 mAh (see below).
My primary reason for buying it was its 3700 mAh battery instead of the 3300 mAh in the Z Flip 3.

im getting the same in accubattery

I get between 4-6 SOT with mixed WiFi/LTE usage. Honestly what surprises me is that the Z Flip4 gets me more through the day vs my S22Ultra, but the WQHD+ and > screen explains it.
So the Flip4 would usually give me better SOT vs my S22U.

Battery not as good as my last phone, which was like carrying a brick, but seems good enough. My issue is I like to use wireless charging, and seems takes 12 hours to charge to 100 from 35percent battery. Going to try another brand charger, but current one supports flip 4 max charge rate.
Edit: Found issue, my wall plug was too old, didn't support higher amps out

Better than the flip 3 for me. I only charge to 85 percent before bed, unplug, then use through the day as needed. I'm in my computer for work more than my phone, so I'm not a mobile "power user" by any means. Have more than 20 percent at night when I plug it in usually. If I'm driving then I have it plugged in while I drive, so maybe the accounts for my good numbers.
