Question Anyone seen the trade-in kit? - Google Pixel 6a

Exactly what the title says. I've got two orders, one from 7/22 and one from 7/26. Both show the trade-in kit as "not shipped", "pending". Yesterday I contacted Google support and supposedly they shipped two new kits because I should have had the original ones by now, but I haven't received any shipment emails on those either. Just curious if others were experiencing the same.

Not yet, though they said mine shipped and said 7 business days after receiving the device. I would expect them soon.

I got my trade in kit a couple days ago. I just sent my 3axl back today.

And as soon as I posted this my kits both arrived

Ahh sorry back. It was @adrman I meant to quote. He reordered the kits and will have 2 coming for one device. I had that problem before and It took many calls for them to find the return.

Mine came yesterday. Sending my 4a back tomorrow.
fwiw, I gotta say, that's one hell of a deal! If I count the Pixel Buds A at their retail price of $100 then I'm out only $50 for a BIG step up vs. the 735G chipset plus it fixes my main grump about the 4a being just a lil' too small. I was lookin' at used (open box) Pixel 5s mostly for the 6" 'perfect' screen size, imo, right before this deal popped. Hell...6.1", close enuff!

Mine said delivered 2 days ago and wasn't there. Hate USPS! What's in the kit, a box and an airbill?

Yep, packaging to send it back in and a prepaid return sticker.

I already sent mine out on Monday
It was my Pixel 3A.
I made a video of it working then rebooted it, then clean flashed it and then packaged it up and sent it out
I made the video just in case Google says anything wrong about it or anything. It's a pristine condition and I should get my $300.
There's not one scratch on it barely used as I am disabled, don't use a phone much. Always make a video of whatever you're doing with any phone

Mine was delivered to them yesterday but Google store still saying has not arrived. USPSaroed it Delivered to Individual. We'll see next week once they start processing them.

Kit came on Thursday and I shipped it back, it's supposed to arrive there on Monday

Received my kit last Monday and mailed it back the same day. Google still hasn't received it. It is now two days late.

Can someone post a picture or two what the kit and return form looks like? Since mine says delivered and I never got it, I'm about ready to just pay to mail it back myself. Just want to be sure I get the paperwork/return address right.

Its a small box, just slightly bigger than the one the phone comes in. Maybe 10x5x1" or so. All white with a address label with a barcode on it, and feels empty as there is only paper in it.

Got mine Tuesday (8/2). Sent it in the following Friday

A damn razor blade and nerves of steel. Took about ten minutes to do mines, but about 2 minutes to do my wife's. I was a damn pro by the time I got to her's.

That's the same one I ordered. Same place, same seller. That sucks.
But to the other guy above..That stuff off Ebay is from Hong Kong. No way am I waiting a month for an order. lol
Looks nice, but I'm gonna wait to see what Trident has to offer before getting one of these.
I got it from uk and it took 4 days to come here. There are also USA sellers on eBay not just from hongkong.

There aren't honestly..They say they are but as soon as I purchase from them they say [email protected] for example..they lie to make people order because most Americans won't order from Hong Kong and wait 2 weeks for an order.

Since I been using this my screen has started going nuts. Doesn't read touch at times when trying to unlock the screen. New one should be here today. Says it's out for delivery..but u know T-Mo uses "Next Day-Super Saver" so that means you wont get it until 4:30pm which is the end of day for deliveries..smh

I was thinking the same thing. It would have been better if they promoted this at their keynote for the phones. It would have given more people the opportunity to think of switching. That two day shipping was jacked up. I was crazy excited then it turned into the waiting game. Now that I know it's coming I'm back excited.

Funny because I just received a call from Samsung. It'll ship either tonight or tomorrow and I'll recieve it either Saturday or early next week. The rep said that their shipping has been delayed because of the amount of orders. I can rest easy now

The last android device I had was the Samsung Galaxy player. Any suggestions on rooting and if it's possible with the S6 edge plus or note?
I just read on xda they achieved it on the T-Mobile version. So I'm hopefull it will be achieved. These devs are really impressive.

Oh so Different carriers lock them. What can you do with root access?
Early on you could use it to turn your phone into a hotspot without shelling out the extra $20 a month. Right now they already have a fix for that to where you don't have to root in order to take advantage of that. My first thing I always do is to see if I can install this sound mod from this dev Viper. You can truly take control of the equalizer and make your headphones really good.

Ooo. Surprised they don't allow root access. What about changing the UI. Keep hearing that touch wiz is bad.
It use to be terrible. They really cleaned it up every year. To where now it is a pretty decent launcher. I personally prefer Nova Launcher. Especially now that some launchers almost theme the entire system and not just the icons and home screen. With rooting some devs will make custom roms with some pretty awesome features, over locking even run stock android if you want.

I'll have to try out nova launcher when my phones get in. I hope they gave me a good one too.

Motorola customer service sucks

I've had my moto x pure for a few weeks recently my moto stopped turning on from a faulty charger, Motorola said they would replace the phone with a $250 Charge and a $25 premium fee (I have the $50 insurance plan) so anyways my device is customized Motorola said they would send me a promo code so I can get a new phone in 24-48 hours and they have not its been over 48 hours and nothing. Every time I call moto they want to start the order over and take an hour of my time. Motorola needs to change there ways and take care of there customers.

Yeah I will go through it eventually. The weird part is it only shows up with certain colors/animations. For example if I put it on a black screen I do not see it, but if I'm watching a video or any type (youtube, nexflix) you will see a large cluster of dead pixel toward the top. Or it shows up during animations but not when it is sitting at specific colors. Very interesting... Oh well. I'll go through the process but I will probably do the method where they ship the phone and do a temp charge until they get the old one. I'll probably wait until after marshmallow so I can get app backups
I just returned my Moto X and the lady took an hour and a half to get me an RMA number and email me a FedEx slip.
It's really sad that Motorola has gone down hill. They wanted $250 to replace my Nexus 6 screen and I laughed and said I'll just buy a new phone and now I'm right back where I left off.

There isn't any more. There is nothing to hide. Motorola told me the phone is delayed for shipping its been 9 days since I've paid moto for a new replacement.

I'm in the same boat - I put my repair request in on 10/18 and so far every time I call I am told that a shipment will be arriving on Monday, and that the issue will be escalated to the warehouse. I was also told this morning that Motorola is no longer offering codes to order a new phone.

My case was escalated last night to someone higher up last night about 8pm and the department that gives the codes out was closed, the lady said she would call me in the morning still waiting.

I hope you get the code - it'll give me some hope with my case. I called this morning but was only able to escalate to the 2nd level of support on the repair team (which is where I was told that the codes aren't being offered anymore); sounds like you were able to get farther than I did. I'm going to call again later this morning and try and get to a higher level and see if that makes any difference.

still waiting for my replacement. I went with the $100 payment and they ship the phone couple days after they receive mine. They received my phone on Monday and said i could track it using there site but when i put my RMA # in it says no service order was found. Ive been with out my phone for about two weeks now

Craigslist Note 5-- Spengate victim

Picked up a T-mo note 5 on CL. Looked great; all features I could think to test were good. IMEI# check out as good mostly., I just didn't think to test the spen detection in the holder. It's broke. Dumbass must have inserted the pen backwards and yanked it out
Anyways I picked up all the tools I need to safely open the note 5 and see what I can do with the broken sensor; figured I'd keep this thread updated with my progress on fixing.

I wouldn't try a store, I would wait a week until tmo updates their system and sees that's the phone you hit and then call 611 and tell them the problem with NO mention of where you got the phone unless they ask and even then you can just say it was a present or something.
They don't like it when you don't buy phone off them and use Craigslist instead.
Like ThC23 recommended, I called 611 and they asked me when I bought the device, and I just said "IDK it was a gift." they asked me when the problem started and I said "IDK, it just never worked"
Tmo connected me to Samsung and they gave me an RMA number. I'm sending them my note 5.

Glad I didn't put my Note 4 on sale just yet. Looks like I'll be using it again for a few days.
So samsung didn't do anything to fix it, and they are just mailing it back to me. Looks like the A-hole who sold it to me lied (surprise surprise) the IMEI number has been changed, so samsung won't replace it.
So I'll be going back with my original plan of trying to fix it myself. I wish I could find that broken plastic lever that must have broken, online. but who knows. Maybe it's not working for another reason. There is at least one video where the guy takes Note 5 apart and shows us where it broke, but it just happens to work when he puts it back together, even though he didn't rly do anything to it besides remove the broken of bit off plastic that was preventing the sensor from moving.
As sad as this is, it just reminds us that buying off CL is not always a good idea. I feel for you. ?

My friend bought an S6 for $500 on CL. Seller reported it as stolen, IMEI was blacklisted. She had to pay $70 for a new IMEI.

Yea you can't take that to a T-mobile store ...you may have to contact Samsung. ..they won't entertain a phone not purchased at a store or online through T-mobile

yeah it's still taken apart cause my soldering iron is not meant for these tiny tiny components, but I have not given up. I actually got the spen detection working for a few minutes and it quit working, so I'm on the right track I just need to get better at the soldering. maybe I should stop by radio shack.
as for that plug I broke, i don't know what it does. I did a half assed soldering job and I got the note 5 back together to see what is not working and all I see is the lights on the front buttons don't light up. If that's all that that blue cable does I might not care...

Update: Spen detection sensor fixed!! hopefully it stays fixed this time.
Now I want to get that blue cable figured out. I suppose I could just quit and not have my front buttons light up. not much of a loss there.
--looks like its the gps cable.
-- no def not the GPS cable. GPS works fine.
-- finger print sensor gives an error. I bet it's just power going to the front buttons. weird thing is the lights on the buttons flickers with a vibration once when the phone boots up/.

The Pro Package is automatic on all orders made before May 29. The code was only for a 5% discount.

Same, delivery tomorrow and I paid the extra for faster shipping because it was only £6 and supposedly safer.
mine was just delivered, also with priority mail. still at work though so cant play just yet..
Just got it and was include the pro package, but no powerbank. I also played a bit with the phone and it's very fast. Also the screen is nice with 90Hz. There are some thinks i don't like or can't find.
1. When switch on dark mode, it still stays on light mode
2. No theme engine with theme store
3. Can't find the navigation buttons settings, i want to use swipe buttons
4. Speakers are not really good, when i compare them with my Mate 20x. I also can't find any audio settings
5. Don't like the screen corners, they almost hit the battery icon and when playing a video it looks a bit weird or when playing pubg you miss some screen/text around the corners.
I will play some more with it tomorrow and see if this is a keeper or not.
