Hi all.
I want to run Fortnite on a Pixel 6 and make it use the Vulkan renderer but I have no idea how to do this.
I am using GFXReconstruct to capture the calls but I am seeing very little Vulkan calls being recorded so I am guessing that it is using the GLES renderer.
Any ideas how to force the Vulkan renderer?

Hiya - Blu has confirmed for us that slow motion is not a supported video mode. Even downloading the Google Camera app, which normally supports slowmo (even on phones as old as the Samsung Note 2) won't enable it.
Is there any way to get around this and take high-frame-rate video with the Blu Pure XL? It's capable of 4k-ish video, surely it's capable of 60+ FPS at 720P!
Hi! I'm very much interested in pro video recording camera apps so I was wondering what Camera2 API support level the Asus Zenfone 4 Max has. Can someone who has the phone install the free app "Camera2 probe" and post a screen shot of the test results here? Main thing is the "hardware level support category", hoping for either "Full" or "Level 3" but my guess would be "Limited" ...
Cheers!
Disclaimer:Am not responsible anything that happens to your phone after running this script. As the title says, this script will ALLOW you to play Fortnite at 60fps on your device. By any means, ALLOWING to play at 60fps is not the same as PLAYING at 60fps!
Only a few devices out there have the 60fps official support but many other devices with the same GPUs (or even better ones) are not given 60fps support
Requirements:
You need root access
A device with fortnite supported and atleast one match in fortnite played.
Instructions:
If you want full 60fps without thermal throttling, it is recommended that you turn your graphics to "High" or lower
Next what you do is, download the script from here and place it somewhere in your device
Open Terminal Emulator and then run the script as root
For example if the script is located in Download folder, then type
Code:
su
then
Code:
sh /sdcard/Download/script.sh
Thats it you should now have 60fps in-game. Note that the game won't run at 60fps in the lobby or anywhere other than in-game.
The Mobile Framerate option in the game won't show that its at 60fps, dont worry, the game will be able to run at 60fps
One more thing, changing fortnite game settings will reset back to 30fps and you will have to re-run the script again to get 60fps
Finally, it all depends on your GPU whether it is able to run at 60fps or not.
The 60fps mode is tested on OnePlus 6 and it performs pretty well (Obviously, the Note 9 is able to do it and the OP6 also has the same GPU)
Risks:
You may get banned. I didn't get banned for this yet.
You will get banned if you try to hack the game! :silly:
This mod is working as of v8.30
Reserved!
thanks for the effort. Tho it doesnt work for me. It just resets the game and i have to relog again and only 30 fps ingame on poco f1.
Fixed the lag
Working fine for me, thanks.
So after Pie's update, which i think relaxed the cpu throttling or something, 1440p 60fps is possible now using software playback in youtube vanced with no frame drops, average power draw is around 1400-1700mA though.. so not ideal, but good option if you really want that 1440p

Can you advise what version you are using and if there are any settings tweaks required? Can't get smooth 1440p 60fps myself

I think the latest firmware tweaked the CPU governor so it has more power..
Also I use latest YT Vanced with the exoplayer turned on
It´s great to have more than 1080p playback with the YT vanced app, but it crashes on launch as soon as I install the microG addon? Anyone got the same problem or an idea what I'm doing wrong? Would be nice to be able to log into my account..
use NEWPIPE programa
can play 4K youtube movies 60fps

Why Google ? Tottally unusable videomode, tons of dropframes and lags. Maybe you need fix libcam drivers for imx363 chip on Android 10 ?
Btw. On PIE 9.0 1080p autofps mode looks good:good: im using latest stock Google Camera ver 6.3.26
October update DONT fixed that problem Hey google whats wrong ? Flagship phone cant record normally video 1080p ....
VIDEO nr 2
Has anyone noticed a similar problem with your pixel 3 ? I have this problem with Gcam 6.3.20, 6.3.26, 7.1.15 on Android 10.

Nope everything is recording fine here, smooth like water!
frame loss and lag only appears when the camera wants to return from 60fps to 30fps. if the conditions are poor and the camera does not reach 60 FPS then there are no lags and the video is as smooth as water, yes. even my wife noticed that this is losing frames and that's something on PX camera 1.1 60fps works great for me, autofps tragedy I can't look at it
I returned to Android 9 PIE and finally the problem was solved. Autofps works great. Google has to do something about it, Pixel 4 has in addition to 3 modes of autofps / 30fps / 60fps, maybe Google will graciously do the same with Pixel 3. At the moment Android 10 for video recording in autofps mode is broken. Perhaps it is the fault of the underdeveloped drivers or bad clocks that manage the cpu speed.
