Hi,
First of all I would like to thank you all for giving an extra-life to our rather old device. You're doing a great job!
Well, the problem is basically that the GPS doesn't work when I flash any ICS or Jelly bean Rom. The device is unable to find any gps, and I've tried many apps, such as GPS status & toolbox, GPS fix, etc. When I go back to Gingerbread, the GPS does work properly. I've also tried many roms, always ending up with the same problem, and I couldn't find any other user with the same problem.
I've come to believe that it may have to do with cyanogenmod, but I'm not sure of it and don't know any other rom that isn't based on cyanogenmod. Maybe a Rom based on something else could do the trick....
I'd be very grateful if you could give me a hand with this!
Thank you in advance
Hi.
I am checking back after quite some time. Just wanted to know if UPIs such as BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe are now working on Custom Roms or not ?
Thanks
If your question is do those work on a rooted phone, the answer is yes, using MagiskHide
I installed Havoc Rom, Pixel Experience Plus Rom, Lineage 17.1 Rom. But the sensors did not work on none of them.
But when I install the stock rom again, sensors working properly.
I think I'm not doing properly when I flash roms. But despite of research that I've made I couldn't find the solution.
Most of OP7 Pro users don't have problems on custom roms for sensors.
I hope you guys share the solution with us.
Nobody interested about this problem. I found the solution after about 1 month. which is;

Just stumbled across this trying to fix my phone, thank you for responding with the solution.
Does anyone here still have this phone? only for curiosity
I just noticed that I enter the low activity device group
It's really a shame ... it's not a good phone, a newer rom would make it explode
See Ya!
Yes me I have one. I search in the net to find a debloat rom to go in. Can't find anyone even in XDA! It's a sm-g386w but if if found a ROM for sm-g386t I'll try...
Yep I still have my GT-18262 and I use it for experimental stuff only though but it was my first samsung phone...

I got it in my pocket in this very moment. (It's
a core G-386W. More or less a late model with better parts. 0.5gb of more RAM iirc
Really run smoothly in most conditions. Still love it. Only replaced it with a LG V20 (not letting go of that removable battery) for OS reason.
I still have mine works great for me I just wished I could update it so I can get some newer aps so at least I could connect my smart watch with it. the only thing I did was years ago installed rooted it and installed kitkat ( I think it was back in 2014) other then that haven't done anything but bought a new battery

Does Wi-Fi and cellular networks work? I installed CM12.1 on mine, everything works perfectly, except the Wi-Fi and calls/sms
I know I am almost 2 years late to the party but I will leave this for those who are willing to dive into the rabbit hole. I managed to build a "functional" lineage18.1 for the SM-g386W Afyonltecan and I am willing to share it as well as the source so that hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will take the lead or help to fix the bugs so that we can enjoy this piece of history for few more years. Don't get me wrong, it is far from perfect and so far only worked on my device. I also successfully build lineage 16.0 and twrp 3.7.0 but they are too buggy to be useful as is.
Hi guys,
Several weeks ago I've tried installing some AOSP roms. But i have major problem, none of the aosp rom i've tried is supports to write nfc tag.
I read some people saying that write nfc tag feature is similar to gpay contactless payment. For me, it requires to update my electronic money card.
Now i have to revert to the original MIUI rom. And write nfc tag is working on this rom.
Can you help me or suggest which rom is support this feature? Expecting to have aosp rom for this phone.
Thank you.

same issue here except i'm on Redmi 9T NFC (lemon) and the only roms that seem to support NFC are lineage os and crDroid. i wanted to know if other roms could be changed to support NFC and/or why not a lot of custom roms support it. please inform me if you found something. have a nice day!
