Hello Everyone i'm new in this forum
I'm From Bangladesh, the reason i m here because i want to start smartphone company but the problem is i don,t have any idea from where should i have to start .
i need your help to get started
i want to know minimum how many android Engineer, hardware Engineer and designer i need to start my phone company.
and where i can find them?
Thank you !
i suggest u should start a project in kick starter first and see if people are interested.
Try it from kickstarter to see how you want to proceed as mentioned by @nla333
My recommendation is to work with companies from China to see if you can rebrand your phones back in Bangladesh , this way you are able to test your market and from there if the demand is good , you may start making your own phones in Bangladesh
But market is too crowded these days. There is a very low chance of succeeding.
Thank you guys for your suggestion
But i want to know few more thing like
where i can find the designer to design the phones and also where i can find the android developer to make a custom android OS for the phones
Possible to integrate an aftermarket parking sensor system to the head unit to work in tandem with backup camera?
Is there a kit that integrates into these android head units instead of it being a standalone system?
Edit: seems to be possible from this video showing it in action http://youtu.be/Rj5-LVPQT7E
Thanks

GS models have this ability, i have never seen one of the others have it. You can buy the sensor from their site
Im not sure you will find a model specific unit. Have you seen the parking radar/ultrasonic units that mix the video from the reversing camera and overlaying the distance from the radar?
E.g. http://s.aliexpress.com/3eMVnUba
Feed existing reversing camera video to this unit and output video of this unit to your android head unit. Ive done just this.
my 6.2" old gs had this. It was an option to buy a sensor, but it was just a single sensor not an array. I guess it would stop you from backing over a dump truck. I have also had kdl kgl and jy units. None of them have had a plug for a sensor.

That first link looks exactly like what I'm looking for. However, it's out of stock and $45 seems a bit steep compared to the other parking sensor add on kits.
Now that there are examples, have you thought about searching on aliexpress for a unit that meets your needs and price expectations? Did you realise these are generic units, not specific to to your head unit and member have provided the solution?

Yes I've been doing some searching on my own through eBay and aliexpress/alibaba. Have you considered that I'm still looking in my limited free time and have not yet come to a decision?
Yes I understand that these are generic units as evident by their titles which include the word UNIVERSAL and with specific instructions that they can be CONNECTED TO ANY MONITOR. Have you tried clicking on the links to see the descriptive title?
Yes I understand that a solution has been provided to me by another member which I QUOTED AND REPLIED to. What's your point of telling me that someone has provided a solution here when I've already acknowledged and replied to said person?
Are you satisfied now? Let's end this conversation between us here as it doesn't contribute to the thread at all. Maybe next time rephrase your comments to not sound as condescending.

Interesting response. You're welcome, glad I could help.
Well, if its any consolation, I found your input quite helpful. Exactly what I was looking for.
Hello guys
First excuses for my bad english
Let me introduce myself, i'm a 56 years old developper, now working in an charity association, who want to sell to old persons or visually impaired persons android phones with a simplified interface and some presinstalled softs (skype, ...), and at of course really low price...
My project is to made tests with a first cheap phone i bought last week at the supermarket (brand echo, used for testing, but i would prefer using some more known brand to "reassure" my customers), with installed Koala launcher and some other really simple softs, and to clone my phone, for install new phones without having to do the same things X time. What i've done seems to work properly on the first phone, and my father, 84 yeas old will be my first tester...
Searched a lot on the internet, but i don't find any way to clone a phone without rooting, and rooted phones and warranty... you understand what i mean
So my question is: Is it possible to clone and duplicate a complete phone without rooting? I'm used with Linux but not with Android
Thanks in advance for any idea, even with paid software
Luc

Hi,
First of all, idk whether it is the right thread for requests
Due bad support from the Chinese manufacturers, we decided to buy you an device for developing us an stable version, and fix some issues on the device.
First we wanted to ask if somebody can do it, then we wanted to create a list with the issues.
We are almost 30 People and will buy you an unit for experiments.
A German developer is preferred, because of communication.
If you're not german, it is no problem as well. Will just have little communication problems
This is the Unit:
As an new user on this forum im not able to put links in.
Just search on aliexpress for "E90 Android" There will all the same.
Thx
Hi all, im new to the forum, first of all let me clarify that im a complete noob when it comes to anything software relate on mobile devices other that hard resetting a phone/tablet.
So, the thing is that i found an old tablet belonging to my younger brother, he got it by a governent plan that years ago provided highschool students with free tablets made for learning and stuff.
I had it flashed by the repair service so i can use it but turns out it has this weird android 7.0 version that comes with some preinstalled apps from the government.
Being so old and working with and equally old version thats also custom made for this devices makes it super clunky and slow to use, more so for drawing and sketching wich is my ultimate goal with it.
I was wondering if i could use some guidance or advice to see first if the actual SO can be replaced, and two, how to do it and wich ROM could give me a more modern/usable experience.
Thanks in advance, ill make sure to provide any info needed

If anything exists for the device, you can find it by doing a search for:
"Custom ROMs for (your specific device model number)"
You can find the device model number by going to system settings>about>model number or system settings>about>hardware info>model number. If the search using the specific model number doesn't reveal anything for your specific device, it almost certainly means there is nothing for that device.

Thanks for the reply, soo what i understand is that unless there is a ROM somewhere on the internet specifically made for my device i wont be able to do anything to upgrade the SO?
TBH ive been looking for that before, checked the model number but it just says A102, seems like theyre custom made devices or a rework of an existing one to mass produce it and make it more fitting for teenagers.
So far all the info i could get was the manufacturer, wich name is Haier, then some weird documentation hinting the real name of the model was Haier Business A102 but idk, and here are the specs from the model too.

Yes, typically, you can only install an OS that is built for your specific device. There is also the possibility of installing a GSI(generic system image) that has been made for devices with the same hardware/CPU architecture. If there is a GSI available for devices with your architecture, you may be able to install it. I'm not familiar with the specifics of finding a compatible GSI for a device or how to install it as I've never used one. This would be a good place to start.
