Hi guys!
I have dag out the N8000 tablet that I intent to give to my young one, but the stock OS is outdated. I want to upgrade it to Lineage OS 16, but I have problem with the connection to the PC.
I have installed the Samsung Driver v 1.5.63.0.
When I connect the N8000 to the PC I get info that the device has not been recognized.
I noticed that the cable I have is a third party not the original one. I bought another cable that seemed to be genuine but still the same error while connecting to PC.
Is there a way to get the N8000 upgraded via SDCARD.
I would need to sort the TWRP first, also from the SDCARD.
If this is possible I would be grateful for guidelines on how to do it without bricking the device.
Thanks!
SD card use a memory card reader for custom rom .
why would I need a card reader? N8000 has a memory card slot. I am more after is is posible and how to do it as all tutorials include usb cable and ODIN

You could root your device with an one click root app,
flash TWRP with mobile Odin or terminal and reboot into the recovery.

ok, but my PC connection does not work when I plug the device via USB, so I guess it will not work with ODIN.

You have to disable auto reboot in the odin settings and boot directly to TWRP.
If you're doing a reboot, twrp will be overwritten automatically.

Hi,
Up until a few days ago I was happily running CM 10.2 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and regularly updating through Cyandelta, then the program stopped showing me new updates so I downloaded the penultimate release (cm-11-20140131-NIGHTLY-p5100) and used Cyandelta to rebuild the zip by downloading and incorporating the latest release (cm-11-20140201-NIGHTLY-p5100) then I had it install it on my tablet.
As a result, I am now currently in a bootloop, as soon as I turn on the device it boots in Recovery Mode and asks me what to do. I wanted to access my tab via USB as I used to do in order to put on the memory card the latest CM11, format and start from scratch but I can't access it via computer anymore, all I have to work with is the botched Cyandelta zip. I tried the usual "Wipe Dalvik" "Wipe Cache" and even the (in)famous "Wipe Factory Reset Data" to no avail.
Also, I get this:
"Rott access possibly lost. Fix?"
No / Yes - Fix Root (/system/xbin/su)
and if I choose yes, nothing really changes on the next boot
If I try to install an old version of CM which I found in /CMUPDATER I get:
h t t p : //s15.postimg.org/h5ftl8px7/asd.jpg
(sorry for the the spacing but it wouldn't let me post a screenshot)
I am totally clueless, can anyone help me at all?
Install the latest CWM from here
Then flash the latest CM11 nightly from here (P511x) or here (P5100)
Sorry for dissecting your answer but I'd rather ask than worsen my situation; so, granted I have no USB access at this time I should Odinflash the linked CWM, which I believe it is :
Odin flashable: GT-P5100_TWRP_2.6.3.5.tar.md5
Click to collapse
or maybe
Odin-Flashable: GT-P5100_CWM_6.0.4.7-Swipe-Edition.tar.md5
Click to collapse
(with which options?) and then I should Odinflash the latest CM11 nightly too? How can I do that?
Okay, so I managed to update my CWM with this one by flashing it with Odin 3.07
Odin-Flashable: GT-P5100_CWM_6.0.4.7-Swipe-Edition.tar.md5

Now I am at a loss though, how should I flash the latest CM that I downloaded which is:

Shut down your tablet
Start recovery by pressing Vol UP + Power (or Vol Down + Power idk)
Use the volume button to navigate to "install zip from sdcard"
Use power button to continue
Put the CM11 zip on your external sd and select it with the volume buttons and confirm with power button
Yeah but, granted I have NO USB access at this time, how can I put the CM11 zip on the tablet in order to launch it from recovery? Apparently the only way I can access te tablet from the PC is via ODIN.

As @Joery360 said, place the zip on an EXTERNAL sd card, and try to flash from there.
Problem is I couldn't even access externally my SD card due to a computer problem. Anwyays I solved it, once I upgraded my CWM to the latest I was able to successfully install one of the latest CM11 I had buried on the device, shame I wiped everything and now I got to reinstall all the data.
Thank you guys for your time and help. I was hopeless but now I am safe
I have a S duos 7562. I had rooted it earlier with CWM recovery and was working well.
Then I switched off USB debugging mode. Made Whats App system app through Lucky Patcher and rebooted. Then again made Facebook, ChipChain (game) and Times of India App to System App without booting again and again.
Rebooted and my phone got stuck at Samsung logo. Waited for half an hour but no result.
Then applied Resen/Factory setting and rebooted but no result.
Then started Odin and applied stuck recovery and rebooted but no result.
Then Wiped Cache Data and rebutted but again stuck.
Again started odin and applied recovery and rebooted and again stuck.
Then tried to unzip which is available in my SD card but no CWM available and got some failure notice in RED.
I am not able do anything. Please help me to come out of it.
I had backed Up all data in SD card. Titanium Back Up was installed and had backed up some apps and data. And backed up some important data by Kies.
I don't know what to do !!:crying:

Is there any good reason to convert these apps to system?????????????????????????????
Factory reset will reset DATA (user apps) but not SYSTEM. The only way is to install TWRP, delete the converted apps via TWRP recovery file manager OR flashing a full stock firmware via ODIN.

Flash TWRP via ODIN. Start TWRP and select "advanced" --> "file manager" . Navigate to your system apps folder and delete the converted apps. Then perform a factory reset again
Here are the firmware files for your phone. Official release is Android 4.0.4. Just flash the downloaded file via ODIN. You need to pick the right "region" for your phone.

I'd suggest using TWRP and flash the GAPPS.
Other solution is to install PLAY STORE + GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES APK as system app.
I don't know if rom manager works. The twrp i mentioned is specially for the CN version of your phone and compatible with KitKat

The error message tells you that the recovery (TWRP) you want to flash use another partition table than actually setted up on your phone. This probably can be solved by choosing the option "Firmware upgrade" instead of "Download only".
BUT
all informations are collected from other websites. I can't test it as I don't have a Mediatek driven device.
Please DON'T PROCEED as long as no one confirmed that the method is safe to use, because neither you nor me wan't a bricked device.

OK thank you for you help, its probably some nested software, I've had some issues with the Lenovo security app forcing the phone to stop working until it was reinstalled so there is probably a hidden partition somewhere.

Connect your phone to computer while in TWRP, it should recognise it. If it doesn't, you might be forced to buy a USB-OTG, which is a USB that you can insert into your phone.

Installing CWM Recovery + Rooting Samsung Galaxy J7 prime ( SM-G610F/SM-G610M )
Tested & WorkingKnow Issue
SDCARD & EXTSDCARD not mounting in CWM ( Not being able to flash/install ZIPs )
FixI suggest you to Install zip using sideload, here's a step by step guide :
First boot up your phone into CWM recovery
Go to Install zip update package and select Install zip from sideload
Now connect your android device to your computer
Download this and extract it.
Open command prompt in the ADB folder (mfastboot-v2 folder) by right clicking in the empty space of the folder while holding the Shift key.
Copy the Zip file you want to install on your device to the ADB folder, for example Xposed.zip.
Run the following command to sideload zip to your phone : adb sideload <filename.Zip>
Example adb sideload Xposed.zip
Voila! That's how you can flash Zip files
First Part: Installing CWM Recovery
NOTE BEFORE
Please make sure to follow the guide carefully and thoroughly as i won't be responsible for any damages caused to your device and also keep in mind that rooting your phone will automatically void your warranty.
MUST READ
Before you start, please note that this root has only been tested on the SM-G610F and SM-G610M variants of the Samsung Galaxy J7 prime, so kindly check your phone's variant before proceeding.(Check the back of your device)
Required Files:
CWM & ROOT
Samsung USB Driver
ADB USB Driver
How to install CWM Recovery
After downloading the required files make sure your system has an active Samsung USB Driver or you can simply download it from here
Also don't forget to Enable USB Debugging & Unlock OEM, this can be done by going to Developer Options and make sure to have these 2 boxes checked.
Then go to Lockscreen and Security under Settings and enable Unknown Sources.
With these done we are ready to kick-off!
Step by Step Instructions
STEP 1 : Connect your phone to your computer & Allow access to your device when the MTP Connection box pops up
STEP 2 : Now go to the ROOT J7 PRIME(2016) folder ( you will need to extract the rar file) you just downloaded and run 1-EnterDownloadMode.bat
STEP 3 : Wait for the phone to reboot into Download Mode ( If nothing happens after running 1-EnterDownloadMode.bat then you might need to disconnect and reconnect your USB cable and Allow USB Debugging (Check Always allow from this computer) when it prompts you. With this done, your device should automatically reboot into Downloading Mode.
STEP 4 : In Downloading Mode Run Odinv3.10.7.exe (Found in ROOT J7 PRIME(2016) folder) and click on AP and open
SM-G610_cwm.tar from ROOT J7 PRIME(2016) folder
After this go to Options in Odinv3.10.7.exe and uncheck both Auto Reboot & F Reset Time and finally click on start to execute the installation of CWM recovery. Wait for it to finish (When it says 'PASS!') and after that press and hold the Volume Down, Power and Home Button together ( To get out of download Mode ) and when you see the phone gets rebooted press and hold Volume Up, Power button and Home button to boot into CWM Recovery
STEP 5 : Enjoy! You now have CWM recovery installed
Second Part: Installing SuperSU
MUST READ
Use Volume buttons and power button in CWM Recovery to navigate through and select the different options.
How to Root
STEP 1 : In CWM Recovery, go to install zip package and then select install zip from sideload.
At this point you will have to connect your device to your computer and once done run ROOT.bat from ROOT J7 PRIME(2016) folder and wait for it to finish.
STEP 2 : Now run 3-Reboot.bat from ROOT J7 PRIME(2016) folder and you should see your phone get rebooted.
STEP 3 : Enjoy! You have just rooted your phone!
If you want to flash the stock recovery just repeat the steps for installing CWM but select SM-G610F_stock_recovery.tar or
SM-G610M_stock_recovery.tar instead of SM-G610_cwm.tar
P.S You now have a voided warranty
Cheers!
