Question The phone shuts down suddenly. Maybe be overheating, because it seems to keep working if it is in supersaving battery mode. Factory reset did not help - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

The phone shuts down suddenly. Maybe be overheating, because it seems to keep working if it is in supersaving battery mode. Factory reset did not help. Screen was changed 3 months ago. The latest update was installed 10 days ago. The day before problems the phone was a bit wet in my pocket due to rain.
The battery is changing well , at least it seems so.
I was thinking to try installing older ROM (assuming update is causing problems). Or changing battery (as this is one of main problems mentioned on YouTube, although those videos are only on languages I don't speak, mainly from India).
Before doing the factory reset I noticed that the phone would not turn off by itself While I was playing music, that was really strange, and this made me thinking that reset could help.

Nexus 5 suddenly shutdowns cold on its own

I had the Nexus 5 since launch and its been working fantastically well until it suddenly shuts down by it self in the last couple of days now
As soon i start the camera app, snapchat, watch you tube or listen music (with screen off). The phone goes blank, shuts down and refuses to boot back unless i plug in the mains usb cable which is absurd as the battery was around 60% and clearly there was enough power left. Strangely the phone forgets all my saved wifi passwords and have to connect manually each time the phone shuts down.
I have tried all assortment of troubleshooting methods such as upgrading and downgrading from KitKat to Lollipop , cleared the cache and running though safe mode and calibrating the battery but the problem stills persists
I did replace the screen back in November 2014 and it was work fine until this week.
I have opened the back casing and checked for anything that might be loose but i cant see anything wrong with the components.
I believe the battery is failing and want to know if i can resolve it from any other methods i haven't tried yet. I will be ordering new battery for nexus 5 and see if it solves the problem.
You might have punctured the battery when removing it when replacing the screen

Strange screen responsiveness behaviour

Hi all;
I would like an opinion on my issue. I own a LeTV Max X900 since mid-January. Its touch screen has been irresponsive at times for about a month.
I wonder if you guys think this is a software (and I should keep trying to solve it) or a hardware issue (and maybe it's best leaving the phone alone).
Basically, it may stop working all of a sudden. At first I could revive it by rubbing it against my shirt (in order to heat it up, as I suspected it was due to the cold weather in Paris).
Now it's just not working until I do one or a few reboots (holding power + Vol+ & - and then rebooting).
Sometimes simply going into recovery and rebooting works; sometimes i clear data from recovery and it works.... Sometimes I have to reflash any of the stock ROM I have.
Sometimes I leave it and it works after having not worked for a long while (can be hours, even days, once); sometimes i'm using it and I'm just left stranded.
It once totally stopped working for 3 days, then has worked flawlessy for about 2 weeks... and then last week it restarted with this behaviour but it was not too frequent and only out in the cold. Now I can't have a full day without this problem, even inside my house.
Interestingly, it can also be unresponsive even in the recovery menu, so I suspect this is hardware, but I would like a second opinion.
I have never rooted it or done anything other than updating the stock ROMs, either from recovery or from the Update menu, as advised by the manufacturer.
I would be glad to read your opinions.

LGLS996 random reboot

Hi guys,
I have my new phone bought on ebay (I forget the exact seller because was a friend of mine who bought it, i am overseas in Cuba) and from the beginning some icons are not painted correctly.
The thing has gotten worse since the phone restarts for no apparent reason and no matter what I am doing. Originally it came with the ZV8 software version , but i have permanently the notification for a downloaded update to install. So i do it and now i am with ZV9 version and has maintained the same problems.
I need any help you can give because i can't return the phone to US and here there is no official warranty service from LG that i can use.
Thank you and best regards.
I had a similar problem with my G Flex 2 after it updated to 5.11. It would randomly reboot and restart with optimizing apps almost every time. It did this at least twice a day. It would also have issues installing apps sometimes saying there was no storage available. When it did install apps sometimes they would crash when opening them. Eventually after resetting and erasing my device four times the issue went away. I read that sometimes this can be caused by a bad battery. See if your device stops crashing when it's plugged in. If it does it's probably the battery. If not try resetting it a few times in a row and see if the problem is still there.

Hi probaina, thanks for your answer!
By chance yesterday analyzing what happens I thought it could be a battery problem, because when reboots occurs and I watch the battery use log sometimes I find out that the percentage of battery drops for no reason. For that reason yesterday I left the battery ran out completely and then pluggin the phone on charge overnight in the hope that this would solve the problem. But today it has restarted twice already. I'll try what you say to keep the phone plugged in to see whether the problem occurs and I will keep you updated. Once again thank you for your time and response.
Best regards!
PS: Sorry about my english, is a work in progress!

Abnormal reboots, every day..

Have any of you experienced any abnormal reboots on the u11? Suddenly my phone either freezes or the screen goes black and then it turns off. It's terribly annoying and can't find anything about it online. I'm not quite certain but I think it started after the last update.
are you stock?
have you attempted a factory reset?
try running an RUU?
Tough to provide any insight without outlining what you've done to attempt to fix it.
try factory reset and wipe cache partition. Please back up everything before you do it.
I'm quite sure that I have allready factory resrt, but will try again! I am stock and what is RUU?
I think i have the same problem. My phone suddenly shuts off and i have to
use the down volumerocker plus the on key for 12-15 seconds and then
it starts up again so i can do a reboot. This have happened once a week.
Maybe it´s due to that i have been watching Netflix for a couple of hours.
Both times happened after watching Netflix.
But this is the first phone i have had that can´t handle watching
movies for a while. Can there be a failsafe built in to the 835 processor?
So it won´t overheat or something?
/Z
Same here since arround 2 months.
Any updates on that issue? Does the hard reset solve the problem.
It happens also twice a week

Cubot king Kong 3 keeps resetting

Hello, recently i bought a cubot king kong 3 and out of nowhere without trying to change any drivers or roms or downloading anything in general my phone started resetting all the time, i removed the battery and it worked again properly, 3 hours later when i went to bed i woke up and i found my phone on fastboot even tho i left it normally open playing music. Today it just keeps resetting itself, it reaches the cubot.net logo and shuts down again or it goes into the phone and shuts down again, i dont have full control of the power off button to shut down or reset it, even when i reset it doesnt help. I tried factory reset and i tried hard reset (resetting eMMC) after all nothing works and the phone just keeps shutting down and opening again. Two days have passed since I did all these, I did again a factory reset and it pretty much works for a few hours,it starts doing that rebooting thing for many hours and then get back to normal for a few hours, me and my both suspect that it's the stock rom of the phone and we plan to change the rom. Any opinions and advices?
If the phone is happy to sit for hours without rebooting while in fastboot then the OS is to blame. Firstly you need to make sure the battery is in good condition as that not being able to ramp up the power will make the phone turn off. Connect it to USB and see if it restarts or whatever while not using the battery. If it does turn off then the OS is definitely to blame.
The most common thing you need to check with that phone being only 64GB is do not allow the internal memory to drop any lower than around 1.5GB STORAGE space. Bad things begin to happen if the phone can't find space to use.
If those aren't a problem then changing the OS could help but it won't help any more than a reset back to factory settings. The stock rom is often the most stable rom.
Finally, the worst bit, it could actually be a sign of a fault within the nand itself which would write off the phone completely. If the phone has ever been rooted it runs the risk of a dead nand. If not.. The plot thickens..
The battery works well, there is more than half overall space free, so I believe we head to the fault the nand. If it's the nands fault then what happens next ?
