In search of the best optimized and stable ROM in 2022. - Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Questions & Answers

Good evening folks, my dad is without a phone and I have a Samsung Galaxy J1 ACE lying around unused and I would like to optimize it as much as possible for him to use temporarily until he can buy a new phone.
Can you tell me what is the most current ROM in 2022 that is best optimized and stable that I could install?
I also take the opportunity to consult you regarding the battery calibration because the phone presented me with several problems in this regard. For example, it turned off when the battery was still at 30% and when it was connected to charge it was at 0, or when it was restarted it showed different battery values than before the restart.
I thank you in advance and I hope you can help me.
Mati (LokoPoeta)
EDIT: I forgot to put that the model is the SM-J110M with Android 5.1.1

well for sm-j110m there are no roms

[Q] My ROM is crap and I would like to flash a nice ROM!

Ok guys, I have a P6200L, bought in Asia. I love the device as I used to own the original Sammy Tab 7. I have a problem with the new Sam, the battery is garbage. From 7am with no use at 11am I discover that 20% of battery is gone without even using the device. When I check battery use it shows: Android OS 87% while screen shows 7-13%. I have no idea what eats my juice but I would love to flash a human ROM onto my baby.
Could you please guide me or suggest battery solutions if there is no decent ROM.
Thanks
P.S. I don't have a PC, so flashing on Mac would be new to me.
There are many guides to save battery on Android devices. Search around, if you still need help report back. I have a P-6200 malaysia, easily get all day battery.
As custom ROMs, it is very difficult. Especially when samsung wont share code.
Try a different launcher. try v6 supercharger script but be careful.
Im on a stock ROM running buttery smooth.
I do not think the problem is in the ROM itself. Rather on what apps you are using.
The first step to troubleshoot it is to use a good app that will tell you more in details what is eating up your battery Juice :
Better Battery Stats does an excellent job.

maybe your wifi is running? try setting wifi sleep policy to "When screen turns off".

Nexus 5 is coming to me..i need some advice!

Hi guys!
In the next days the Nexus should be arrive also to me and i have a few doubts about the modding! Then i'm not new to Android modding...i have a LG Optimus 3D and i modded it in every possible ways (change bootloader or baseband, flash custom roms, root etc).
I read a lot of guides about Nexus 5's modding and i think that the modding is not hard!
However i want when i will put out the phone of his box i want only to turn on to see if it works fine and then if the battery is equal or above 60 % i want to unlock the bootloader as soon as i can and then recovery, root(with SuperSU.zip or with a stock rom pre rooted) and franco's kernel!
Then i know that flash things and also unlock bootloader can affect the battery percentage...however my main question is if i will make these things immediately after i put out of the box this can affect in some ways the battery's life? I mean...after the battery will discharge for the first time i need to put the phone on charging for 12 hours? (and then after this 12 hours i can mod my phone?)...i'm really confused about battery because i read a lot of things...someone told that with modern batteries the 12 hours is not necessary someone told that is necessary...
Thanks in advance!
There are a lot of different opinions about extending the life of your battery with proper charging habits (including the first charge)...I've read lots of conflicting information too. But honestly, I don't think it's worth stressing over. If you don't charge it "correctly" the first time, any long term reduction in battery life is going to be very minimal.
The average life span of phones these days is about 2 years for most people, and I doubt you would notice a significant difference within that time anyway (barring any defects). Batteries are built to last much longer than that.
My phone arrived with a 90% charge, so I proceeded to unlock, root, etc. right out of the box like just you're planning to, then charged it afterward (don't remember what percent it was at). No problems here, so you should be fine to do the same.
Sent from my Nexus 5
It won't mess the battery. When I got mine I unlocked the boot loader installed a custom recovery, and made a nandroid. Then I played with it on stock to make sure everything worked. I would recommend that
Thanks to all! Some time ago i bought an extended battery for my Optimus 3D by Mugen...and in the start guide they told the the first charge needed 12-14 Hours and then you can charge the battery every time you want! However i wish that my Nexus 5 will have a good percentage and i can unlock the bootloader, after i will put root or a rom stock prerooted and then the franco's kernel! I want to keep my phone stock because for other functions i will installa Xposed! Thanks for the help guys! Oh and if you have any other advice it will be appreciated!

Erratic battery stats on Galaxy S6

Hi,
First of all, thank you in advance for whatever help you can give me.
1) PHONE
- Samsung Galaxy S6 (Verizon refurbished, model SM-G920V)
- Android 6.0.1
- Security patch level: April 2, 2016
- Kernel: 3.10.61
- Knox: 2.6
- Not rooted
I don't know whether any other detail is necessary. Let me know otherwise.
2) PROBLEM
This has been happening for a couple of days now, and I have tried everything I've found online, to no avail.
The phone is displaying completely erratic battery stats. It goes from, say, 50% to 100% in under a minute. You turn it off and plug the charger, it shows, say, 85%. You turn it on again and shows 15%. Completely erratic.
At other times, the charging gets stuck in 79-80%, and the graph plateaus there, doesn't matter if you're charging all day.
3) WHAT I'VE TRIED
I've already tried with cache memory deleting and hard reset. Forgot to mention I'm also running Greenify agressive mode (I did the dba USB thing), but I doubt that's the culprit.
The phone is barely a month old. I know it's refurbished, but I was told it was something like "class A" refurbished (not second hand). It was working perfectly fine until a couple of days ago. By the way, whatever charge I do get in the battery (79%, 80%) works perfectly (it's not that it is abnormaly drained or anything, which I suppose would happen if the battery was old or defective). I'm not an Android expert, but I reckon this is more a software problem. Maybe I should root the device?
Is there any way to attach pictures? They may be of help.
Thanks a million!

Same here, Rogers SM-G930W8. Android System and Android OS have higher usage that the Screen. I was just about to factory reset the phone but decided not to after reading this post.
Its a great phone but this battery issue is a REAL pain. Ive read elsewhere its the Location Services keeping the phone from sleeping. Turning it off isnt a fix, as everything on these phones uses Location Services now.
Any help you guys may have would be GREATLY appreciated. Good luck OP.
Could someone solve the problem? I have the last update and the battery is drained and turned off with 40%

Fixing Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Battery Issues

Hello All,
I've managed to acquire a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. This phone was a steal due to its price/ condition. The phone currently is running Android 6.0.1 (Samsung Stock)(SM-N910F). I intend to use this phone, not as my daily driver, but as my "media player". The screen is plenty big enough and the device is more than capable. In order to make sure it performs this duty well, I've begun a crusade of trying to "better" its battery life. I'll making a fairly lengthy plane journey soon so I figured I'll use this as an experiment to learn. The device really is for media consumption so I don't really desire any tasking software. I'm happy to underclock/ volt providing it doesn't compromise performance and yields results. As already mentioned, I'm running stock software but I'm happy to look into ROMs which are fairly "light". I used to own a Note 3 with a 10'000mah Zerolemon battery. This thing was a beast when it came to running for time. I frequently went 4 - 7 days without charging, it's since left for greener pastures. I intend to purchase the Note 4 variant for this phone, but till then, I still want to better the battery life.
Owing to the excellent Devs on this site, I rooted it in a matter of minutes and installed apps such as Wakelock Detector and Titanium Backup. and also the donation variant of Greenify. I've noticed a improvement after I Greenified most apps and when I froze some others.
Wakelock Detector is showing is showing Android System to be the biggest offender in regards to CPU wakelocks, with "ConnectivityService", *Alarm* and "SmartManager Frame Thread" causing the biggest wakelocks in terms of duration spent awake. I'm led to believe this is potentially a WiFi issue. Their is no SIM in this phone and I use it in airplane mode. It's currently locked to a network (Although not of my preference). I have to use WiFi for connectivity and I think this is what is causing these wakelocks.
Under Kernel Wakelocks, ssp_sensorhub_wake_lock is another serious offender.
So.....
Will flashing another ROM be worth it ?
Is their a root way of unlocking the phone to a network. P.S The phone is network LOCKED, not BLOCKED.
Will flashing another ROM free up space ?
Apologies for the extensive post but I figured I'll get this out their as this info is better out than in !
Thanks,
