Hello! Can anyone compile kernel for poco x3 pro with HID and support for r8188eus and rtl8821ce chipsets. I tried to compile it myself with linaro and google compilers but I always have errors. I tried cyberknight777 kernel but it does not work. If someone does it, I'll be very grateful. My telegram is @interesting524

Can you send the link to the post instead of the zip? or if that requires login rehost the file?

It's from link above. Yes you need login to download .
What was the conclusion? r8188eus and rtl8821ce supported?
Github link
Ask for new addons there or use supported for now:
88XXau.ko
8814au.ko
r8188eu.ko
r8192e_pci.ko
r8712u.ko
r8723bs.ko
r8822be.ko
rts5208.ko
If you looking for penetration testing devices, there is lots already workig and powerfull adapters, nobody will update this kernel as soon is ready new chip. And yes, Atheros chips are on the first place.

Hi devs (schlund, devras, tzacapaca, anynymous devs & future devs)
Since Cardsharing deleted all the photon kernel repository on GIT website (thank you Cardsharing), we need to do it again.
I suggest we use Google Code:
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/GettingStarted
Google code has a project src hosting (for devs), a bug tracker (for devs and users), a wiki (for n00bs) and a download section.
The drawback is, all of you guys need a google ID to use it.
Otherwise we can continue with a new GIT repository, or use google SVN for that, or any other tool of your suggestion.
What do you think?
ok sorry i forgot, codiak already created this page for photon:

let's use this!

Though cardsharing is a great developer but is being childish at this time. He just believe r0bin, schlund and other developers are not supporting him.
@cardsharing: stop acting rude dude. Think evaone is developing their part of job and developing their part of work. Please don't act so badly and help us porting android on hd mini.
thanks r0bin, schlund and other developers for porting android for us.

This release has been done by Schlund, using his new kitchen!
To my knowledge, it is similar to the previous latest release, but thanks to schlund's kitchen it takes less space.
Schlund's Kitchen is a tool for devs (many thanks Schlund, this tool is very powerful!)
It allows you to update and modify easily the files stored inside system.ext2, init.rd and kernel and generate those files for test & release.
Schlund also wrote a wiki here:
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/wiki/GettingStartedWithTheKITCHEN
Regarding releases changes, don't worry, if there is any bug fixed this will be posted on the forum.
Till now, we're still working on 3G, little progress:
photon can now be "attached" to GPRS, next step is IP configuration.
be patient...
Thank you for your answer Robin.. & Thanks for schlund also.
No problem.. I will be patient
I just wanted to say if new packages, as I said: Please if something new we must know.. for helping or something else..
Anyway Thanks

This is based on the Allwinner A10 chipset.
There are some custom roms out there for that platform, but a device specific bundle is needed with it.
I have not been able to find that bundle, it seems without the proper one, the touchscreen probably has no driver (en thus does not work).
Search XDA and you will find the discussion.
A nice tutorial :

Hi,
I saw your post on another site too I think.
I also requested source code, but the support people replied they would not give it.
I kindly pointed them to the GPL and the fact they are legally obliged to release the source code.
After that I have not heard from them.
I also mailed to gpl-violations.org for advice.
would be nice if those companies stop being arrogant and allow proper development.
By the way, Archos seems to do this. Samsung does, Tomtom too and a bunch of others as well.
If the source of this tablet will not be published by them, I will not by any Point Of View product again.
Besides that I would advice all people not to by anything from them anymore.
Let's hope they will comply. Other people, if you read this, please send a mail to ask them.
the more requests, the better!

I have an old phone that uses Android 2.x, I think froyo or gingerbread. I want to download AFWall+ which is a firewall application that's the successor to DroidWall. The problem is the most recent version no longer supports the Android version used by my old phone. The app's details are here (I can't make it a hyperlink because I don't have 10 posts):
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.ukanth.ufirewall&hl=en
The relevant part says:
- Supports 4.x ,5.x and 6.x (for 2.x support use 1.3.4.1 version)

But the problem is I don't know how to get the 1.3.4.1 version and verify it is the legitimate version. There are a lot of websites that offer downloads for older versions of apks but they could inject anything they want in them couldn't they?
I would ask the developer in his thread what is the proper way to go about this but as I mentioned I don't meet the post requirements at the moment.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I can get it from a 3rd party website but I just need you to give me the hashes of the packages so I don't install something that's trojaned. I'm a computer programmer but I don't know much about phones, so please keep that in mind if you have special instructions. Thanks

For those interested.
wuxianlian - The creator of the "OppoTools" has created an TWRP Recovery for the "Plusm" version of the R7Plus.
It is the R7 Plusm with international bands, also known as a "全網通".
It has been discovered that the Taiwanese version "R7PlusF-TW" does not work with the official TWRP but only with this build.
You can download it here:

I have translated this version into English using Official TWRP files (only GUI files not binarys)

Celox! I have been lurking and gathering all developments regarding our r7plusm Chinese variant. I have been in contact with Wuxianlin and the reason no further development has been made is due to him not having the phone anymore. If we can start a fund and send him an r7plusm I am sure we can all help develop a fully working rom with Git Repo and TWRP 3.0 recovery.
I am willing to be a tester and have my logcat ready.
I read your post on the Opppo forum about the r7plusF-TW edition partition dump (has fastboot enabled) from someone with the 64gb version. I have the 32gb r7plusm. Did you make any progress porting over the fastboot partition for the r7plusm?
Wuxianlin has a paypal account for donations towards development. With enough people, I propose we buy him the phone towards developing a CM13 branch and maybe a bootloader unlock solution.

I don't own an R7PlusM nor do I plan too.
I only changed the Chinese GUI for a R7PlusF-TW user that helped me out on my R7S project and decided to share it with everyone.
Also I don't think you will find a lot of supporters for what you plan on a Western-based developer forum as the R7PlusM is Asian-based.
You should start your approach on an Chinese/Asian based forum.
Good luck!

If it's a snapdragon CPU you should be fine with Official LineageOS R7Plus ROM. The userdata size should be the only difference but that won't be touched.
Good evening. I hope you can help me.

The Gapps used: ARM64 (7.1) NANO
All flashed with TWRP in the following order ( Formatting --> Flash LineageOS --> Flash Gapps --> Reboot (and then Magisk)
And I don't know if it's related, but I can't connect to Snapchat

I don't have this device but, I just can't believe that there's no Official LineageOS 14.1 thread that's specific to your device nor any type of Q&A thread for your device as well.
The funny thing is that the thread you had referenced is not an Official LineageOS Firmware. This is indicated by the OP there pointing to an Android File Host Account for the Firmware when they never use that server for official releases.
You'll be able to obtain the Official LineageOS 14.1 Firmware from the following link.
https://download.lineageos.org/a5y17lte
To be honest... I can't state this 100% but, I don't believe that the member "raymanfx" is the SAME individual whose listed as the maintainer whose listed on the following Official Lineage link for your device.
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/a5y17lte
Maybe @MikeChannon can look into this or refer another administrator who handles this.
I just can't be sure but, based on the developments from that developer (which his developments are not in question at all) but, may be misleading if he's not the Actual Lineage Team Maintainer.
You got my attention on this a bit...

I understand Mike but, i had asked this question to one of the Higher Level Lineage Team members (i think that it was @invisiblek) a year +/- ago about this and I was told the following...
1) The Official Lineage Maintainers who releases Test, Beta, etc... builds are required to state "[UNOFFICIAL]" within the topic of those threads and will provide the downloads from outside of the LineageOS server.
2) The Official LineageOS releases require "[OFFICIAL]" placed on the topic and will always provide those download links to that devices prospective Official LineageOS Downloads of the Official Lineage website.
There was more to the message but, that was the bottom line provided to me (I'm trying to locate the Gmail message and have to scrub through the nightmare of emails saved LOL!).
