[Recovery][Snapdragon][R7PlusM (全網通) /R7PlusF-TW] Unofficial TWRP (2.7.8.2)
For those interested.
wuxianlian - The creator of the "OppoTools" has created an TWRP Recovery for the "Plusm" version of the R7Plus.
It is the R7 Plusm with international bands, also known as a "全網通".
It has been discovered that the Taiwanese version "R7PlusF-TW" does not work with the official TWRP but only with this build.
You can download it here:
Google Drive
I have translated this version into English using Official TWRP files (only GUI files not binarys)
TWRP 2.7.8.2 in English Mega
**All credit goes to wuxianlian the same guy behind Oppo Tools!

Just a question
Can I flash it in my R7plusf?

Celox! I have been lurking and gathering all developments regarding our r7plusm Chinese variant. I have been in contact with Wuxianlin and the reason no further development has been made is due to him not having the phone anymore. If we can start a fund and send him an r7plusm I am sure we can all help develop a fully working rom with Git Repo and TWRP 3.0 recovery.
I am willing to be a tester and have my logcat ready.
I read your post on the Opppo forum about the r7plusF-TW edition partition dump (has fastboot enabled) from someone with the 64gb version. I have the 32gb r7plusm. Did you make any progress porting over the fastboot partition for the r7plusm?
Wuxianlin has a paypal account for donations towards development. With enough people, I propose we buy him the phone towards developing a CM13 branch and maybe a bootloader unlock solution.

I don't own an R7PlusM nor do I plan too.
I only changed the Chinese GUI for a R7PlusF-TW user that helped me out on my R7S project and decided to share it with everyone.
Also I don't think you will find a lot of supporters for what you plan on a Western-based developer forum as the R7PlusM is Asian-based.
You should start your approach on an Chinese/Asian based forum.
Good luck!

I don't have the partitions for the R7Plus-TW.
All I did was to unpack wuxialians Chinese TWRP and repack it with the English GUI.

If it's a snapdragon CPU you should be fine with Official LineageOS R7Plus ROM. The userdata size should be the only difference but that won't be touched.

I have a Huawei Y360 with a mtk6582. Someone compile a TWRP for this but it is a old version (from 2014). In the official TWRP site there are a modern TWRP (3.x) for another Huawei but with the same mtk6582.
Is it posible compile latest or a 3.x Twrp for this Huawei? Are there good chances?

What's Twrp Builder ?
[*] It's a simple app made for requesting twrp for your device (if your device has not got).
How to make request for twrp ?
[1] It's easy just create one account (if you don't have), don't worry i won't steal your information and if you think i can then you can use fake account like [email protected] .
[2] Click backup option (make sure your device is rooted before clicking on it.).
[3] When backup is done simply click upload and it will upload file to firebase so i can compile for your device .
[4] check app after few hrs or days you should see download option , download that and flash it (if you don't see then contact me).
[5]if recovery don't boot then you should contact me .
Downloadsv2 :- https://github.com/Grace5921/TwrpBuilder/releases/download/v2/app-release.apk
Devices i don't support
1) Spreadtrum
2) mtk(some times recovery boots so you can request but don't blame me if you face any problem)

[Completed] [Help][ROM] Almost port MIUI 8 to UMI PLUS[bootloop]

MIUI8 for UMI PLUS
Recently, I ported MIUI8 to UMI PLUS using the patchrom on github-micode. I was able to compile and get a zip file. But, after flashing the rom, I am stuck on a bootloop.
I looked at the errors using logcat but can not solve them.
So if somebody gets to push my job or guide me to the end so that we can all enjoy it ... I'm listening to you.
Based version ported on marshmallow 6.0: Plus V3.01_20161019 ROM (available on umi forum)
All sources are from: github (micode)
OS used: linux 16.04 x64
Logcat.txt: mediafire.com/?8ogct31yu8i1j02

Thank you for your attention.

In theory, yes you can.
Can you manage in case of bad flash?
If yes, and if you have a backup from your current recovery, in that case I see no problem.
Please note that you cannot restore two partition:
- oeminfo, because close your bootloader.
- product, don't restore properly and cause issues. Can be restored with flashable zip.
Chisetdel31260 explains with details in the following post:

Reminder, is too easy brick this device, use this TWRP with carefully.
thank you kilroystyx,
@kilroystyx Is there any source published for this? I was hoping to port this over to the View 10 since both devices are virtually similar in most aspects. Thanks!

Sorry, but I haven't.
I unpacked my stock recovery, applied some new images and then repack with a another TWRP from other device.
But you are free to use whatever you want.
This first version is unstable, I do not recommend to use it, I'll let you know if I release a stable version.
By the way, this TWRP is for CPU Kirin 659.
Aren't you looking for CPU Kirin 970?

New version.
In case you need restore Cust, Product, Vendor and Version use partition image instead of regular backup.
Regular restore of these partitions are not working well.
Guys, is there any custom rom for our device? Like lol, i didn't find anything, literally
And if not, what's the reason? It's not "an interesting device"? It's too new? It's because of the own processor it runs with? Thank you in advance

Guide to unlock your MEIZU 16 Series' bootloader

Update: DO NOT TRY TO PAY!!! THE GUIDE IS BADLY OUTDATED. JUST USE THE RESOURCES AND FREE METHODS.
If you want to try the paid method, you should definitely get in touch with the seller first. I don't know whether the previous sellers are active or not.
If you want to inform me of something important, please `@me`, (I missed many replies in the past years)

There seems to exist a new method: It is said to work on Qualcomm devices.
First, dump frp partion, then edit the value to 1 at 7fff0, finally, flash the modified frp image. then you can use fastboot command to unlock your phone.
This new method shall work for for ODM devices like 16T, 16x, 16xs and Note9 and so on. see FRP Method.
Below is the original post:
The original post has been removed, since it's outdated and I almost finished the English version tutorial on Github.
You can see it on github.
BTW, it's really difficult to use XDA's text editor.
You can download the TWRP of 16s here
it's a start, is there anyone who has already tried a gsi?
Good news for us Meizu users! Hope this is just a first step towards some good modding ?

There seems to be custom ROMs for MEIZU 16th, I've seen Lineage, havoc, and mokee before. But i don't know how do these ROMs work. Anyway, I use 16s, not 16th. Besides, I don't know how to add a new phone category.
BTW, it's said that the kernel source of the 16 series will be released, maybe next year. And there are plans to upgrade the Android version of the 16 series.

No problem. If your phone becomes a brick, you can follow the unbrick tutorial to save your phone. But you are suggested to have glance at the tutorial before you go.
As reported by others, fingerprint and Mengine (taptic engine) don't work.
I am on havoc 2.9. Fingerprint mengine and mtp not work. But other features work fine

Yes, thanks Mate! Which Firmware was it exactly? Hope i can work with it...
I'm also working on AOSXP actually. https://sites.google.com/view/miustone/AOSXP an new, Xperia exclusive Android OS based on pure AOSP and Sony Open Device Trees.
For Orange Fox we will have to flash a Kernel after using it since it will replace our Devices Kernels (fastboot boot doesn't works). But it's nice for flashing ROMs, GApps, Kernels, Magisk, Wiping/Formatting and so on. That will allow People to share and flash own Projects... Hope that brings in some live here since it will be based on Android 11 which should be good enough for the future of this Devices...
