I'll be darn if I can find it, but when I wake up google on the watch, and say "call xxxxxxxx" it pops up
a message that says ok, I can help with that, but you need to add permission in google assistant
settings. I've looked on the phone, can't locate where I add the watch.
Is it on the watch? If so, where??
TIA
No idea. I just tested successfully calling from my watch using the Hey Google command. Check Assistant permissions in Settings on the watch.
Watch, settings, apps, permissions, assistant....grant what you need.
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Assistant
Settings > Apps > Permissions > wear
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Wear OS
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Phone x2
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Call
Check all those Permissions and make sure everything is enabled.

Yes! I received my GW4 watch last April. I use this site, reddit, Samsung Members, Google and YouTube to help with apps and issues.
Happy to help! Glad I could give one back to the extensive world of internet knowledge lol

Any clues what I can do to disable it?
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab > Pull down menu and choose "Connection Established" > Uncheck "Display message on screen" > Press "Ok"

Thank you! This has been bothering me too.
Source of the connection request.
Ideally, you should try to find out which application is trying to connect to the net. and disable that, the most common one for me, is Windows Live Hotmail when trying to sync. if you have it on automatic sync. (As Items Arrive). There are many other app. that require constant connection to the Internet.
the 3th party firewall program around got that option i believe
Do this and it should work. I was having the same problem and it worked for me.
First backup your contacts, from people application using Export to SD card option!!!
go to:
settings > developer options > background process limit (set "No background processes")
then go to:
settings > apps > all > contacts storage > ("clear data")
Then go back to:
settings > developer options > background process limit (set Standard limit)
You might need to restart your phone.
Then select your gmail account and check contacts and then reboot.
Wait 5-10 min and you'll see the contacts start to appear.
Do not do Clear Data before backing up your contacts.
Unfortunatelly I think it only works one way from Google to Phone.

How do I disable or hide the "is running in the background" notification ? It show up for almost any app that used battery or data such as Poweramp and Accuweather. I've tried disableing everything in the following path, Settings > Apps & Notifications > Apps > More > Show system processes > Android System > Notifications > Apps running in background, but it still appears in the notifactions panel.
Anyone have any suggestions or workarounds?
Update to Android P... oh not yet out? Oh, the device might not even get it? Yup, we're stuck with those
It doesn't bother me, but, a quick search on the google play store, found this one.

Yes that might help. It depends.

Hi everyone
I received my new phone last week, I like it but...
I have read information in the web about notification but I'm lost...
I need information or, better, help with two things :
- I want to use Pulse for my messages, it works but when I receive a new message, I don't have any sound.
settings > applications installed > Pulse > All permissions are OK
settings > permissions > Pulse has all permissions
The screen lighting is OK.
The led lighting is OK.
The vibrations are OK.
But no sound...
When I go to application settings, I can try the notification an everything is OK...
This is OK for the default application.
- I want to use Pulsar to play my music... that also works... but I don't have a widget on the lock screen...
The widget notification when the phone is enabled is OK.
settings > applications installed > Pulsar > All permissions are OK
settings > permissions > Pulsar has all permissions
It's the same with Phonograph but the default application, vlc and google music are OK...
Thank you for reading me entirely
If you have any idea...
Have a nice day.
Sorry for my english...
